I had some of the most complex tax issues and Divyang Shah handled it very well. Below is the complexity associated with my taxes.
I had a foreclosure on the house, in which I stayed for 2 years and rented out for 1-​year. I received Cancellation-​of-​debt from my bank. Initially, I approached a CPA in Fremont (who also advertises a lot in radio) and he filed «bankruptcy» to take care of cancellation-​of-​debt. I called IRS taxpayer advocate service to clarify the correctness of my tax filing. Using bankruptcy is not correct as per IRS rules and also ended up with higher tax liability.
Divyang Shah was very patient in understanding my tax issue and filed an amendment, using correct forms and following proper IRS rules, which resulted in
peace-​of-​mind and reducing the tax liability. Due to the refund from amended return, IRS audited my case. Amended tax file was accepted as-​is and I received the full refund, as per the amendment.
Divyang shah was always available (year long) for answering any questions related to taxes and tax laws.
I would definitely recommend Divyang Shah to anyone, even those who are having very complicated tax issues.
