BURRITOS!!! Hubby and I accidentally stumbled upon this place years ago while staying at a nearby inn and so glad we did! The homemade burritos they sell are AMAZEBALLS!
Now whenever we take a drive/​trip out to Santa Barbara we bring a cooler and stock up on the burritos! They keep in the freezer very well :)
My personal faves are the ones with brown rice and chile relleno!

Ok, if you have ever been drunk on state street or woke up in the bushes after falling down and passing out, which o have done both, you will need food and at 3:00 am there is one place over there where the tranny hookers meander their nights away, a super duper place that doesn’t look like much my friends but walk in that front door and hang an immediate right past the microwave station to the coolers of stacked home made burritos that will make you think you died and went to heaven. Have fun now cause tomorrow yer gonna wanna die! These burritos are freaking awesome and get the salsa and grab a strawberry yoo hoo too!

Try one and you’ll agree simply going here is worth the five stars. Honestly, I’m crazy but, I took a styrofoam container from the grocery store, stocked it full of about 15 of their fresh-​made saran wrapped burritos, and drove that beatnik back to Berkeley. Worth the detour if at all possible.

It’s all about the BURRITOS holmes. For the last 30 years+ this former gas station turned local convenience store has been bangin’ out some of the best pre-​made burritos in town. Sure, you may have to step over a Wino or two to get through the door but it’s worth it. When you walk in, the Mad Dog ²⁰⁄₂₀ and condoms are on the left. What you’re really there for is on the right in the refrigerated case. Fresh $ 4 burritos … $ 2.25 for breakfast burritos. Pork Rice & Cheese and the Chicken Rice & Green Chile are my favorites … Oh ya… and the Chorizo & Egg and the Egg Potato & Cheese. They have several others including a Chile Relleno Burrito and Beans & Cheese to keep the kids happy. For all my fellow halfbreeds out there, these burritos are like the ones your grandma on your dad’s side used to make. They’ve been made by the same local lady since Mac’s started doing their burrito thing. Wrapped in plastic on a styrofoam tray. Just heat ‘em in the microwaves right in the store. Don’t forget to grab some of their salsa too. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night. I’m telling you … they’ve been the best kept secret in SB for the last 30 years … That’s as long as Chuy Reyes has been riding wheelies on his beachcruiser down the middle of State Street.
