I was referred to Tracy at Bliss because she is supposed to specialize in fine hair. She did give me a great haircut. However, the highlights were absolutely the worst I have ever had – even after two tries. I really am unhappy with my hair, but now I have to live with it until some time passes, and I can have someone else attempt to fix what she did. I’d go now, except it’s been processed twice within a couple of weeks, and of course with fine hair, that is far from ideal.
Also, communication is challenging. It can take days before your call is returned.

First time to the salon, I had my haircut by Tracy. She was great! I have fine blonde hair and it’s very challenging to cut, especially when it comes to layering. The haircut was perfect, very well blended. The salon was super cute and comfortable. Everyone seemed really cool. Totally would recommend it!

The only good thing about this salon is that the girls were nice. Showed a picture of what I wanted and came out nothing like that. She tangled my hair twice with the rollers and once with the brush. Instead of saying sorry she blamed it on my hair– that it was too thin, and needed a trim (I got a haircut two months before). The amount of product she put in my hair was so awful I had to wash it the next day, felt like glue. If I didn’t have a wedding I would’ve washed it right after. The girl was very nice– had NO clue how to do hair. Pass

Do not go here if you are looking for help fixing hair color. I read other reviews on how good Tracy was and so I went after getting bad highlights at another salon. She suggested doing an all over brown and then re-​doing the highlights. Two colorings later (and over $ 200 later!) and I was completely unsatisfied with the way the highlights turned out. After leaving me hanging for nearly a week, she told me she did not feel comfortable doing any other color treatment to my hair since I am getting married in a month. I think this was completely unprofessional. I wound up getting a toner over the roots and darkening the top up a bit and am now happy with what I have, but do not think she handled the situation well AT ALL. After I spent all that money there, she should have done what she could until I was happy with the finished product. I left feeling very disappointed!

This salon is fantastic. Tracy is my normal stylist, but I have seen Jennifer as well. I love what both of them did with my hair. They always make me feel comfortable and style my hair beautifully. The atmosphere is great and I will never go anywhere else!

This salon is really gorgeous. I first met Traci when I cut off 16 inches of hair before my senior year of high school, when she worked at another salon. I was stoked when I heard she had opened her own place! The atmosphere is gorgeous – really light and airy, and they always have a great Pandora station on.
It’s great to have a private lot at a business downtown, though make sure you park in a spot marked for Bliss, because I once was careless and a woman from the business next door literally came into the salon and I had to go move my car with wet hair. Completely my fault though, no points off for Bliss on this one!
I’ve had my hair done by both cut and colored by Traci and have always been happy with the results. I would definitely recommend this salon if you’re looking for a peaceful, chic salon and quality hair styling.

Bliss is a really beautiful salon… they always play good music and the overall atmosphere is very relaxing. The location is great with easy parking, the staff is friendly and they have a good appointment booking feature on their website. My stylist– Angela Antonell is AWESOME! She does a great cut and colour… really listens to what you want… and her scalp massages are drool worthy. I always leave the salon feeling great.
I am pretty sure they accommodate walk-ins…and I think Angela works Wednesday, Thursday, & Saturday. I suggest booking online because they don’t have a receptionist so it can sometimes be hard to get through… I’ve left messages and it has worked out but lately I’ve been booking online.

Laurie is the best! She has been the best hairstylist for my «difficult» hair that I have ever had! I love the fact that there is natural lighting in the salon so I know what my hair color will look like in the real world! Everyone there is very friendly.

This review is for one of the hairstylists at Bliss — Lauren Woodard. I never physically went to the salon but wanted to make sure she gets the credit she deserves. After I signed the contract and went to book my trial for my wedding, Lauren mentioned she can only do trials on weekdays (which was a problem because I live 4 hours away). Once I let her know that I couldn’t swing a weekday trial, she said she could do it at her home if I was comfortable with that (her booth at the salon is on weekdays and is booked by other stylists on the weekends). I was so grateful she was willing to wiggle because I couldn’t take a weekday off to head to SB.
I couldn’t grow my hair long enough for the look I wanted so I got clip-​in extensions that matched my color exactly, just from an iPhone photo (Jen at Sin Pretty Beauty — order online, she’s done Miss USA hair!). Lauren did a great job putting the extensions in (she came to our hotel) and I felt like a million bucks. She brought an assistant with her to help speed up the process, which was great. Very moderately priced, she accepted cash or checks only.

I saw Angela for my eyebrows as she was recommended as someone who was not afraid to make my brows as archy as I would like. So often you tell the person what you would like and they do what they want. This is not the case with Angela. Bliss is a modern stylish salon located in downtown Santa Barbara. The salon is clean and bright and everyone working was very professional. Angela made me feel and look great. I would recommend her to anyone needing waxing or facial services. She is the best at what she does!

Went here for the first time today. I followed my favorite brow girl, Angela, from her former salon to Bliss where she is now. The salon is in the best location. The West Mission and Chapala area feels so neigborhoody. I feel like I could just walk up and chat with the staff on the porch if I were walking by. It’s not downtown, not upper State, it’s like going to a friend’s apartment for a treatment. Love that change of pace for a service atmosphere. I learned about a treatment they have there called a ‘Brazillian Blowout.’ It’s a deep conditioning treatment that lasts three months and makes your hair sleek, smooth, reduces blowdrying time to a fraction (like if it takes you normally 20 mins, expect more like 5 after this treatment) and eliminates the need for styling products. Hair becomes frizz free, healthy, and looks hott with minimal effort. Rockin, just my style. You can be sure I won’t die wondering about that one – I’ll try it!

I came here with a friend on my birthday. Tracy was very nice and friendly and gave me a cut that is easy to work with. My friend loved her cut from Krystal as well. The salon is cute and clean. Will be back !
