At Solar-​Klean we provide an eco-​friendly, solar panel cleaning service combined with regular preventative maintenance programs, designed to ensure our clients’ solar PV system is performing at optimal levels.

Manufacturer studies show that a clean solar panel produces up to 25% higher energy yields than an unkempt panel, which could mean significant higher returns on investment for responsible owners and on time pay back for financiers and investors. Therefore, implementing a regular maintenance program is important.

Our services include, but not limited to, visual inspection of inverters, racking, wiring and harness checks, obstruction and shading checks to ground mount, residential and commercial rooftop, utility scale solar energy systems.

Preventative maintenance costs are typically low for solar PV systems. Generally, maintenance consists of regular solar panel cleaning and inspection.

History

Established in 2008.

Solar-​Klean began as a small operation dedicating its resources to residential/​commercial solar panel cleaning and efficiency improvements.

As the solar industry expands, operation and maintenance (O&M) will also steadily grow. Meaning, residential and commercial solar PV owners will have an alternative to high priced solar companies assisting them in maintaining the efficiency of their solar systems.

At Solar-​Klean we understand the needs of our clients by educating them on the importance of system efficiency in order to receive a rapid return on their investment. We perform the tasks that may be to dangerous for system owners to do like, system inspection, solar panel cleaning and maintaining a comprehensive maintenance log.

I moved to California 5 years ago from Upstate New York where I worked as a journeyman roofer for over 10 years. Soon after moving to the San Francisco Bay Area I began working for, whats now, one of the countries largest solar install companies, in which I found a new interest the solar energy. I gained such an appreciation for this new innovative industry that I educated myself on all aspects of this industry. In doing so, I found that there was no post install preventive maintenance services for residential or commercial owners. There was no interested from my employer, at that time, in providing this service. The preferred method was to install a monitoring system. Which was ground breaking at the time. But there was no interest in panel cleaning so I took the initiative to start a part time business providing this service. 4 years later we are still providing residential and commercial solar panel cleaning and preventive maintenance.
