Jack Hewatt has been hand crafting ornamental iron for over 40 years and brings this knowledge to each project.

History

Established in 2007.

After selling his metal fabrication business and taking a hiatus from the construction industry Jack Hewatt decided it was time to dive back in. He wanted to keep the scope of jobs small and overhead low. The first Mr. Handrail work truck was actually a trailer that Jack would use to do on-​site modification and installations of his custom designed railings around the North and East Bay Area. As the housing market started recovering in 2011 Jack found that his work was being talked about. Neighbors were sharing the source of their iron railings and referral business started picking up. Demand has certainly grown since 2007 but Jack still values a small, efficiently run operation. Choosing to focus more on serving clients and their homes rather than managing overhead.
