Ace performed a tune-​up on my furnaces this past summer and did it quickly and in a cost competitive manner. My upstairs furnace would not work last night and Greg was able to come this morning and diagnose the problem quickly as a stuck pressure valve. They are a professional company that I would highly recommend to others.

I have a rental home in San Mateo. It was December 23^rd. I called about ten places. Everyone I called wanted to wait until after Christmas. EXCEPT GREG. Greg at Ace said I don’t want anyone without heat for Christmas. Greg said I will be there tomorrow at 8:30 am. He came and in twenty minutes he found the problem (disconnected wire). Fixed it. I can not say enough good about Greg and Ace Heating and A/​C. How refreshing! A company with a service man who has a HEART!!! Hands down they are the BEST!

Greg is a real professional and a super nice guy. I left an email for him as instructed and within two days, he came, evaluated and made the heater work. No upsell, no needless repairs, no hassles. He also followed up to make sure everything was working great.

These guys did great work. They came out on short notice because it was the first signs of winter and of course the heater didn’t come on after lying dormant. The fellas helped me understand my heater and what had gone wrong as they diagnosed the problem. The fixed it same day and even came back out to work a problem that arose. They didn’t go home that evening until they got it working — they are true craftsman that stand behind their work. I will use them again in the future and recommend them to my friends.

I had the pleasure of working with Greg recently. My furnace died right when it started getting cold, and at the same time as my hot water heater. Greg came in, took a look, and began work immediately. Over the course of several days, he gutted a horrible design at my place, cleaning vents, removing strangely-​designed intakes and shifting them, and rebuilding the entire furnace area upon discovering exactly how many corners had been cut in the original design. On top of that, he fixed errors in the hot water heater repair that another contractor had made.
Not only did Greg do all this work at a fair price, and the redesign looked like a work of art at the end, he was also our champion. Being part of a HOA, I am not allowed to make exterior changes (to add an external vent for the new furnace) without bureaucratic approval. Usually, this process can be slow. I don’t know how Greg did it, but after going to city hall and working with the HOA, he got approval within a day. He also pulled permits to properly license the changes. To anyone who has been in a HOA before, you will appreciate how amazing this feat is by itself.
5 stars is not enough to properly credit the quality, honesty, and integrity of Greg and the work he and his guys did for us. I cannot thank him enough for helping us when we were in a bad spot and pushing our fix through the HOA and city hall.

Greg and his crew were excellent and they quickly fixed our heater. They emailed photos of the under-​house duct issues so we knew what the problem was and were courteous, professional, and genuinely nice. Highly recommend.

Greg and I argued about price tonight. Yes, I said ARGUED… and he still gets FIVE STARS. Why?
Well we got into an argument about the final cost for cleaning out my air ducts. See, he wanted to charge me LESS and I kept insisting on paying MORE. His crew took a bit longer to finish up the job (I have 10 registers and it took about 6 hours to clean the ducts and seal them afterwards). As a result, I was stuck at home waiting and missed 2 events that I was scheduled to attend tonight.
Don’t get me wrong, Ricky and Anthony were AMAZING. These guys ARE the definition of service with a smile. A genuine smile. Nothing fake about these hardworking and super nice guys at all. I mentioned to Ricky that I didn’t realize the process would take more than 4 hours and that I had missed a couple of events tonight and he dialed Greg immediately to report my unhappiness. Like IMMEDIATELY.
Greg apologized right off the bat and I made clear that the service was absolutely fantastic and professional but I was left a bit disappointed. I then mentioned that I had reneged on another appointment with a competitor in the city that had quoted me over $ 100 less but I went with him and canceled the other appointment because of his sincerity, his positive reviews on Unilocal,and that he was local. I never mind paying more for great service and quality. He offered to meet the other price and that’s when the argument began.
We kept going back and forth as I told him I wasn’t out to wring him dry and that I would be happy to meet him in the middle. Greg insisted and I did too, but he won out by instructing his guy not to take a penny more from me. This is the reason why I won’t bother going with anyone else for my HVAC needs in the future.
I am happy to be another supporter for Greg and commend his A+ business practices. If you have an experience otherwise, I’m sure there is a misunderstanding of some sort. Greg is truly an upstanding businessman, and Ricky and Anthony are trustworthy and their quality work speaks for itself. They deserve TEN STARS! Here you go: **********

I can’t say enough good things about Greg at Ace Heating and A/​C. Our Bryant furnace decided to go kaput as we started to hit the recent cold snap. Our first night without heat was FREEZING! The next morning I desperately called every heating contractor on Unilocal.As you may surmise, this is a VERY busy time for these guys as the winter temperatures start up and getting someone to come out same-​day is next to impossible. In fact, Greg’s greeting on his answering machine says as much. But he was so apologetic and sounded like a genuine guy. Well, like a much welcome lighthouse on a foggy night out at sea, Greg called me back and said he’d try to fit me in between calls. I explained to him what I thought was the problem and he was on my front doorstep within the next couple of hours. He took the time to diagnose and fix my furnace, as well as clean out what he could (I hadn’t had the unit serviced since it was installed 11 years ago!). Greg turned out to be a real genuine, honest professional who is also a very nice guy. He quite literally warmed our hearts. I will surely seek out his services again when it comes time for a full service our HVAC system next year. Thanks again Greg!

Called and left a message (don’t let that put you off, he’ll return the call shortly). He was working all thru the weekend and came out on a Sunday. Furnace working again, family happy. Nice guy.

As I write this, Ace has 194 great reviews. So all I can do is give them another 5-​star review. Now they have 195 great reviews. Without going into detail, use them and you won’t be disappointed.

I couldn’t be happier with the service. Our A/​C decided to stop working during the last heat wave (of course). Ace was one of the first calls I made and I left a message. I then proceeded to make 20 additional calls to other places, with no one having immediately availability and most were booking 1 week to 2 months (!) out. A couple hours later I received a call back from Ace and within 30 minutes he was at our house fixing our A/​C. The price was totally reasonable and it was fixed very quickly and it continues to still work well. He even called the next day (Saturday) as a follow up to make sure everything was still fine. I’ll definitely be calling Ace again for any future needs.

Just has Greg’s guy Estevan come by and fix our aircon. A previous contractor said we would need to replace the motor and it would be a 1−2K job. I said I wanted a second opinion, and Estevan found a burnt wire, which was the real problem. Total cost $ 125 versus 1−2K!!! Thank god for these guys and Greg was courteous enough to respond to my incessant phone calls and emails for help! Highly recommend.

Greg was outstanding. Patient, detailed and professional. He educated me regarding my heating issue and I appreciated him taking the time to draw out the details. He inspected all the major elements and cleaned up some filaments that needed cleaning. He did a thorough job. He was also very patient as I have kids in the house and he didn’t mind at all.

I’m happy for those of you who’ve had such a wonderful experience with them. I wish I could say the same. In the past 3 weeks, I’ve made 3 attempts to reach them, but to no avail. Voicemail was full the first time, so I wasn’t able to leave a message. So, I opted for the option of sending them an email. I never received a response, even out of courtesy. Still, I waited patiently. Nothing. I made my 3^rd and final attempt. This time I was able to leave a voicemail message for them and I even let them know that I had made other attempts. I still haven’t gotten any type of response from them. Perhaps I shouldn’t give them a 1-​star, but since this is the only experience I’ve had with them, I feel I have no other choice.

I’m caring for my ill mother in the midst of a heatwave. The heat did not allow her to sleep and caused great discomfort. Greg came out immediately for a consultation and had tremendous empathy for the situation and his ability to diagnose the situation quickly really saved the day for me. Greg is amazing and I would highly recommend Ace Heating in the future to anyone!

It’s July aka PEAK AC season. Within 2 days of talking to Greg and giving him a bunch of times that I could be available he quickly found a slot for me. This after America Home Shield couldnt find me anyone within their network for 2 weeks. If you have AHS please do yourself a favor and ask for outside authorization to get Greg’s team out to you, you won’t regret it.
I spoke with Greg, gave him as much info as I could and he explained to me what it sounded like was the problem, which I also agreed with, a leak. Leaks need to be fixed, not just refilled with refridgerant and Greg made sure I knew this and explained the entire process of what would most likely happen.
Ricky came out first and gave me the initial diagnosis that i indeed had a leak. he verified this in two ways, one he checked the actual levels (which were at 0) and then he did the bubble test (which if you’ve got a gas grill you should know how to do). Ricky then called AHS which and got approval to proceed.
He came out with Estaban (I think that’s how you spell his name, I’m sorry if not!) and they proceeded to fix the leak and clear the system of humidity and other particles. and then in the end they checked the runs, and the ambient temperatures and thoroughly and patiently explained each and every single one of my questions. Before coming in my house, Estaban removed his shoes, would not even let me help him with the ladder or shoes yet managed to not touch a single wall or anything.
They did absolutely everything with a smile, efficiently and thoroughly. I would hire them even if I didn’t have AHS. They’re awesome.

Greg and his team found time to come out on a Saturday morning. They quickly and efficiently diagnosed the problem with our heating, then clearly explained our options.
My wife and kids were at home but Greg and his team also worked very quietly with minimal disruption to the household. My wife is Japanese and we didn’t even have to ask them to remove their shoes, they just intuited that was what we would want.

Greg and his team are just amazing. They went above and beyond for both projects at my place, replacing two furnaces (with extensive duct work) with better, more efficient ones. Very clean and neat. I can’t emphasize enough how neat their work is. Greg always followed up with what’s done and made sure I’m completely satisfied with how the furnaces are running.
Probably the best professional service (of any kind) I’ve ever had.

What can we say about Greg and his crew? Greg is very passionate about his work and will make every effort to make sure that the job is done right and as close to perfection as you can get. Esteban, Trevor and Ricky were also very professional, courteous and friendly.
We contacted Ace Heating to get our furnace replaced because we were freezing in spite of turning on our original furnace for extended periods with out any gains in temperature. Greg was very thorough in assessing our existing set up and was quick to point out the many flaws, and corners cut in the installation of duct work that the original builders of our home had done and set out to make things right.
Greg and his crew delivered an a great product and we now have heat in our home. They not only replaced our furnace, but sealed and insulated the heck out of our existing where accessible duct work to prevent air leaks. The previous winter, I would be rubbing my hands as I worked in our home office. I now can say I don’t have to do that anymore. We actually have warm air blowing out of our vents!
