Absolute Vision Opticians

There are many opticians around, many places to get glasses. But this is the only place I have ever found that goes beyond just selling you a pair of glasses. Clara is an exceptionally service oriented business woman who does not stop until she has provided a satisfactory experience for her clients. This is why people come back time and again. I first filled a prescription for glasses with her when she was at her former location near Nob Hill foods. I followed her to her move to Crystal Springs three years ago, and I have gotten my glasses from her ever since. Clara is attentive to detail, professional, accommodating, and extremely personable and warm. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

I am so happy to find this shop in our neighborhood! I had gone to a name brand chain first, and then I decided to check Absolute Vision. I am glad I did because the service was 100 times better and her prices are competitive. Clara is very helpful and knowledgeable, and the glasses were ready in a few days. She helped with the fitting and had all the proper receipts so I could get reimbursed. We will be back when we need new glasses and contacts, and I highly recommend this shop.

Clara is amazing. I walked in off the street. Didn’t have my prescription, screwed up prescription sun glasses, she took care of everything for me and in just a few days had my glasses back. So easy so fast amazing price! I highly recommend!

I went to Absolute Vision for the first time just recently. Clara is knowledgeable, helpful, and EXTREMELY nice. She explained in detail why certain frames would work well for me while others would not — and she was absolutely right. She was also very honest. I enjoyed having Clara’s assistance and look forward to going back in the future.

This is an updated review. No changes in the 5 stars, because there’s no change in my absolute recommendation. Clara has a nice selection, great judgment about what works, and a commitment to customer service that’s hard to find anywhere. She’s knowledgeable and helpful, and provides great turnaround times. I recommend her highly to anyone looking for glasses. My husband was also very happy with her sunglasses selection and advice.

I first discovered Absolute Vision when they were still located in Redwood Shores and I was happy to drive a bit whenever anyone in my family needed glasses. Clara is amazing. She understands customer service, is very knowledgeable, and carries a fantastic assortment of glasses. I first went to see her because I was looking for a particular brand that no one else carried. She didn’t have the exact frame I was looking for – she knew it had been discontinued – but then she took so much time with me until I found something comparable. Clara is honest and her prices are the most reasonable I have come across – much less than my ophthalmologist’s office. After years of taking care of me, my husband and our kids, I was thrilled that Absolute Vision moved closer to where I live and in the shopping center where I do so many of my errands. But even if they had moved further away, I would not go anywhere else for my, and my family’s eyeglasses needs.

We have been using Absolute Vision services for the last seven years and we are so pleased to have an honest business in our community. Clara is the most helpful lady with the knowledge and passion for her business of making sure the customers are well taken care of. In today’s world, this is very hard to come by.

Clara at Absolute Vision is the greatest. She has been our source for frames and optics for the past 11 years. She has always stood behind her products and provided quality service for the whole family. When a situation arose that required a service that she doesn’t provide her referral proved to be of the high quality and quite reasonable. I would definitely recommend Clara and Absolute Vision to all of my friends and family.

If I could give six stars to Absolute Vision Opticians, I would. I go there as well as most of my friends and all I hear is how great Clara is. My opinion– she is truly the BEST! Prices are good too and she knows what she is doing, truly experienced profeccional. Looking like a movie star too :) I know Clara for years now and my opinion never changed — best opticians in the Bay Area.

Clara has a good selection of frames, but perhaps more important is her helpful, knowledgeable attitude. If you find frames you like somewhere else (for example, I found some cute ‘readers’ in an airport), she’ll take care of the lenses for you, she will repair/​tune-​up your frames for free, and she’s a whiz at helping you with the insurance. I highly recommend her!

If I could give more than five stars I would give them. After checking other opticians, visiting Absolute Vision is the only place where I will ever have my glasses made. The excellent selection of frames, and Clara’s assistance to choose the best for my perscription was invaluable. She truly cared about my needs and her gracious manner was much appreciated. It’s an easy ride to her shop and always plenty of free parking. This is the only place to have your glasses made.

Clara is fantastic. She is SUPER nice, takes really good care of your glasses needs and turns around any requests crazy fast.
She’s got a wide variety of high end, low end glasses and «knock-​offs» that are just as good looking as the legit brands, but 25% of the price.

Thank you to Clara for a perfect experience! I went to 3 different places (ForEyes, Sears, and Lux, all in Palo Alto) before finally finding a pair that I liked here. Out of all of these places, Clara gave the best customer service, by far. She knows that I am a student and generously gave me a student discount on both my frames and lenses. I will definitely come back the next time I need new glasses!

I haven’t been to a good Optician in a while and Clara was incredibly helpful. She recommended me to an incredible Ophthalmologist for my eye exam and since I was so satisfied I went right back to Clara to get my glasses made. She has a small but decent selection of frames for men, a much larger selection for women but she was able to find something that looked good for me. She even gave me upgraded coatings on my lenses and has a very quick turn around time. She was friendly and even gave me some travel recommendations when she found out I was an avid photographer.
Highly recommended with excellent prices.

Went in yesterday to fix my old frames. Clara had them fixed in minutes AND didn’t charge me! While I was waiting, I looked around the store and there’s a ton great looking glasses. If you need glasses that fit well and look great, go see Clara.

Excellent selection, and even better service! Clara first helped me out when my old glasses frames broke — I went in with my glued-​together sad case and she had my old lenses into new frames within minutes — and I love them!
I went back with my new prescription and bought reading and distance glasses, and am very pleased with Clara’s expert advice, choices, and turnaround.

As my review for my VSP-​provider opthamologist tells you, eyeglass providers who participate in VSP tend to have huge price inflation. So when it came time to get this year’s readers, I checked Unilocal.I found two five-​star reviews for Absolute, which is not a VSP participant, and made a beeline over.
Clara is helpful, knowledgeable, gracious, and full of information about how to deal with one’s insurance company. Her product selection is fantastic, and she helped me find the coolest pair of readers. She also gave me a huge discount. My VSP won’t cover her charges 100%, but they cover a lot. Bottom line: My final cost will be MUCH less than my old provider charged. And my new glasses are MUCH cooler.
