Eyexam of California

This shop is not good, because they intentionally keep you waiting for 30 minutes so that you have no choice but spend time looking at their lense and frame.
I made a 6pm appointment for an eye exam. The front desk person confirmed my 6pm app. i filled out all the forms etc and was told to wait and look around. Time came and went. Until 6:30, still no eye doctor showing up. at the same time, customers who have decided on lenses and frames are seeing the eye doctor.
excuse me — but i thought i had a 6pm app, which had started 30 minutes ago.
i wasnt too happy, due to my time being needlessly wasted, but didnt think too much of it and rescheduled it to a later day at around 6:35.
i went in again on a later day, SAME happened. i checked in on time but HAD TO look around for 30 minutes.
this left nothing to doubt. they force you to stay in their stop and hope that you will buy more from them. this business tactic is very sleezy in my opinion.
will not return for anything at this place.

This is one of the few places around that offers Sunday eye exam appointments. And you can book online, which is great. I recommend booking at least a week ahead of time because as you can imagine, the Sunday appointments are popular and they go quickly.
The front desk folks were great. They were organized and attentive. I also got several reminders and a call before the appointment to make sure I didn’t forget. The doctor who did my exam also mentioned to me that he fills in at many different places, and said that the front desk people in this location are top notch.
For the eye exam itself, I lucked out and got a super experienced guy who was filling in on a Sunday. Dr. Zisman is basically retired and works for fun. He was really funny, nice, and knew what he was doing so well that he made it look effortless. I imagine that the people who normally do the exams are good as well, but this guy is off the charts. He’s only there once in a while, when they need a fill-​in, and when he’s available. It was awesome.
And sure enough, he made a slight tweak to my prescription, and it’s just right.
