Las Posas Pool was established in 1993 by the City of San Marcos Recreation Department and has continuously provided our community with aquatic programs and services that encourage safety and fun in the water!

We swim here weekly for swim team and the lifeguards are so friendly. They even turn the splash area on for us before practice.

Clean and fun. Wished they opened a little earlier in the day, but a great place to go with kids in the summer. Hope to do swim lessons for my son there in the future.

Great group of lifeguards, they are fabulous with the kids during swim lessons. We have been coming here for the past two years and it’s always been a great experience. Mel is awesome and always remembers the kids names. I can’t say enough about all of them… thank you!

We were here on a Sunday afternoon. Pool was very crowded, but seemed clean and well supervised. Lots of kids in the pool, not great for swimming since you are going to bump into someone every 5 feet. Bring your own chairs because all the chairs provided will be taken. Great time for family with kids.
Only negative is the bathrooms– not as clean as I would like. Water seems to pool around the shower area (better drainage needed?). Family discount available — we will probably sign up for this deal next summer, since its too late in the season for this to be a great money saver.

My son just finished his first session of swim lessons at the Las Posas Pool.
The staff here has been consistently AWESOME!!!
My son is apprehensive of the water, and with the positive & encouraging lessons from the great Ms. Rachel, my son is doing so well.
We will be signing up for more lessons here!!!
