Great Clips

Not that I asked for anything when the person cutting my hair cut my ear but to not even offer and to act like it is a common occurrence made it absolutely ridiculous. I will never go there again and I would recommend you don’t either. I should have known it was t going to go well based on the attitude of the girl at the counter. Next time I get that feeling I will just turn around and leave.

I had taken my 12yr old son in before for a haircut and it was great — unfortunately, I didn’t get the same stylist this second time. He came in with hair past his shoulders a little bit. I requested that she cut it just above his collar but keep it long — mind you he was wearing a t-​shirt. I couldn’t see when she was cutting because of where I sat & where she stood. Next thing I heard were the clippers and got up and saw that she had cut his hair as if he was wearing a collared shirt! I was furious! My son was very upset as you can imagine! She had cut it all one length in the back and it bowled out looking more like Dorothy Hamill! I had to layer it myself at home. No way would I left her touch it again.

I love the two ladies that do my two year old and five year old boys hair. They are amazing. I’ll have to get their names. Totally recommend this place.

Dec 7^th at 4:10 PM. I walked in for a haircut — the place was empty except for one patron who was leaving. The annoyed stylist at the front said it would be a few minutes for a haircut — clearly she did not want to be there. Then she walked to the back of the shop, out of view. The other stylist who had been sweeping also walked out the back. The place remained empty — no employees, just myself, for ten minutes. Since no one seemed to be returning, I walked out and went to another salon in the same shopping center. I’m thinking it won’t go back!

The only person that knows how to cut my hair perfectly the way I like it is Laura. She’s sweet and does a great job! The others that had cut my hair there, they’ve messed it up completely and I had to go get it fixed! Laura also cut my daughters hair and I loved it…

We walked in on Sunday early afternoon and there was no wait. We tried to check in online, but my computer locked up. Karen greeted us right away and really listened to my teenage son’s requests. Not only is his haircut the best he’s ever had, she taught him how to style it. Most places just buzz his hair even after he’s told them what he wants, but she heard what he wanted and told us that buzzing his hair was a bad idea since he’s so blonde. She used scissors on his hair and he looks so good!
We will definitely return for his haircuts and my younger son’s as well. And… the price is right at $ 15.

There was a sport clips in the same parking and they wanted $ 5 more for the same haircut…
I went to great clips.
Store was clean and the lady who cut my hair was friendly. She did a good job…

I’ve been going to Great Clips for my haircuts for a year now. I found a very talented stylist there named Kim. I’m also a hair stylist but I still need someone fabulous to cut my hair! :) she is always upbeat, happy to see me, and does a great job on my hair. I’m really just so happy to have found her.

Great place to get a very nice haircut. Ask them for a business haircut and you will look like a star! Great service! Ask them if they have any deals. The place is located next to Vons at the corner of San Marcos Ave. & Rancho Santa Fe Ave.

I went to karen. This is my second time going to her, she does such a great job. I love love love my hair cut. It’s adorable. She is quick and friendly and I am very satisfied with her work.

I have had a wonderful experience at this Great Clips. It is clean, organized and well-​managed. The stylists are knowledgeable and friendly. I love the conveniency of being able to check-​in online which greatly reduces our wait when we arrive. I have 3 children and the stylists are all wonderful with them. My girls look forward to getting their haircuts because they know they will leave there cute and happy!

Waited for 30 minutes (which I’m totally fine with) then sat down in the chair and 6 minutes later my haircut was complete… she totally chopped my hair apart. Nothing is even and it seemed like she was just in a rush to get to the other clients. They have lost my business.

My entire family comes here for our hair cuts and we have been doing so for at least a whole year now. I don’t live in the San Marcos area anymore, but I visit my family and always get my hair cut here only.
The stylists are always great. Most of them are very friendly and talkative as long as you are too. Never had any complaints from anyone about who they had cut their hair. If you go during the week, there’s almost never a wait of longer than 5 minutes to get your hair cut. Come here on the weekends and sometimes the wait can be over 45 minutes easily even though they are staffed pretty well on the weekends. If you’re coming to get hair cut on the weekend, use either the Great Clips App or go online to the website and check in ahead of time before leaving your house. It will add you to the list like you’d been waiting there the whole time and cuts down on your wait time once you actually get there. It will show you the current wait time too when you go to check in so you can decide if you even want to add yourself to the list.
As far as the prices, the regular hair cut is about $ 15. Which isn’t bad, but lately they always seem to be running a promotion where you can get a gift card and prepurchase hair cuts for either $ 9.99/$ 10.99 each cut depending on the promotion. We usually just load up 10 hair cuts at a time at the discounted rate when the offer does show up — that saves us about $ 50.
