We have our carpets cleaned every 1 to 2 years. In the past, I always felt I was getting the shaft. ‘Oh, you wants spots removed, that’s another $ 200″. The last 2 times (today was the 2^nd time), I have used KMC Cleaners. No coupons. No ‘super deals’. Straight forward pricing clearly laid out. No ‘extra charge because there were lots of spots to clean. That’s what they were there for in the first place. Both times the work was excellent. They took the time to put protectors around the walls to prevent the hoses from scratching. The workers were professional and polite. They did give a discount for being a repeat customer — nothing I asked for. They probably aren’t the cheapest, but I’m more interested in a good job and dealing with a professional than the best ‘deal’. Carpets are a major investment for my home, and good maintenance keeps it a good investment. My office room carpet is over 30 years old and still looks good. I’ll keep using KMC.

David called and explained that he was out of town and apologized for his office assistant who did not respond to us in his absence. He also offered to clean our pavers (we already did) and was honestly sorry. So, I am happy that he has integrity and does care about his clients. The grout and tile cleaning gets 5 stars!

KMC cleaned my carpets and did an awesome job. There was a spot in my dining room that another rug cleaning company removed or so I thought except in a few days, the stain was back. KMC cleaned the same stain and now months later still no trace of it. Thank you — I recommend you to all of my friends. David, you are the first person I will call in the future.

I spilled a glass of wine on my carpet that I just recently purchased it was very expensive mind you. I called a couple of local businesses to maybe find out how I can get this stain out of my new carpet. Three businesses I called before KMC cleaners wouldn’t give me any information except wanting to come out and schedule a job telling me that you need some special solution and how they had the best product on the market. When I called K MC I spoke to a young man named Aaron. He was very polite and knowledgeable. Gabe me a couple of tips over the phone and said if I had any other questions or issues, He would help me over the phone and if it was too much and to please schedule an estimate. I took his advice I got the stain out with a couple of easy household products he told me to use. The best thing it took me a couple of minutes over the phone and it was free. I appreciate a business that cares for the customer as much as KMC. and would rather genuinely just help rather than trying to make a couple of extra bucks. Aaron was wonderful and I would recommend this company that was looking for a solution to their problem. Next time you have a problem call KMC and asked to speak to Aaron

We had our carpets cleaned upstairs and downstairs. Professional job, well executed. We are pleased with the results. Will use this service and possibly the duct cleaning services in future.

KMC did a great job cleaning my carpets and drapes after a bathroom remodel. Unfortunately, I wasn’t home when they performed the service so they missed a few spots, but the main spots have all been removed and cleaned. Everything looks as good as new so I can’t complain. I will be using them in the future.

KMC was referred to me by Straus Carpets in Oakland. They told me that these folks are a step above the others. I would have to agree.
David came out to have a look at a small repair and cleaning job for the carpet at my property in Alameda. This is an income property that had just been vacated. There were a number of stains that were of concern to me, they were of no concern to David. He got them right out. David an his crew cleaned and sealed about 1000 SF of travertine and two showers as well. He filled some voids in the stone, and re-​grouted some areas in the master bath. Beyond our agreement. The job was taken care of in a very timely manor, and looks great. It takes a lot for me to say that.

Excellence in service and product, all around. I’ve used them for at least 4 years, for routine cleaning of carpets and drapes. The last visit, they organized new drapes to be made, and those were excellent as well. David and his crew are attentive to detail, use professional products and approaches, and I appreciate how well my house looks when they have finished.

First time using their service and I am very pleased. I was just about to toss my 5 X 8 area rug after our adopted dog destroyed it and KMC cleaned it up nicely. Dishon was very professional and pleasant to work with. Thank you KMC Cleaners.

We had water damage due to a malfunctioning water heater. Called our insurance to get an estimate and then we called David to come out to restore and clean our carpet. David was pleasant, knowledgable and very professional. I couldn’t have been been more lucky to have David come out help.
After he was done, my carpet looked like new! He also recommended that when I use oxyclean to follow up with water and dab it out (since I had yellow spots on my carpet due to improper use of oxyclean).
Next time I need a cleaner, David is the guy I will go to. Highly recommended!

This is a difficult review to write. Although I am completely satisfied with the cleaning of my blinds and drapes and my carpet (done by Michael), I cannot give an excellent review because of my experience with the owner. On the night he was to come and give me an estimate (I left work early), he just didn’t show up. When I called the next day he said he finished a job early and just went home (really). We scheduled again and he came out on a very rainy night. He rushed through as I explained that I wanted all drapes cleaned and the blinds on all windows but the sliding glass panel. He gave me an estimate for that and cleaning of the carpet. He told me to call the next day to get a date on the calendar after the holidays because he was just too busy. In January, when Michael came out to take the drapes and blinds, he said the estimate did not include all windows and he woudl have to call David and he was told the cost would be more. I assumed with all the trouble I went through just getting them out he would honor his estimate but he did not. Not good customer relations.
I cannot fault the work Michael did. It is excellent. If I ever did decide to use this company again, I would insist on only dealing with Michael.

KMC Cleaners were just great, they came out within the same week we called and were right on time, which never happens! Michael and D (sorry I have no idea how to spell his name, so for this sake he’ll be D) were very nice and got the job done in a timely manner as well. I would highly recommend them!

Our linoleum floor had 10 years of built up sealer on it, and had the texture of alligator skin. Dave came in and tested various strippers that he used, and picked the best one for the sealer that we used. His bid was very good, and we set a date for his crew to come.
His crew was timely, hard working, and thorough. The worked the entire day trying to get the accumulated sealer up, and were successful, but it was much more work than they had bargained for. After stripping the floor, the crew reapplied sealer, but the linoleum drank up sealer, using much more than they anticipated. Dave came out, and stuck to his original estimate, despite that additional time. He himself applied the sealer.
Through no fault of the crew or Dave, the floor took a long time to dry, and the subsequent coats probably needed to dry longer, but they had already spent a day longer than they had anticipated. The end result was very much improved, but not as good as I’m sure they would have liked.
I was astounded by Dave’s integrity on the job, and the crews tenacity. It was not about the money at all for them – they contracted to do the job, and they were going to see it through. A very impressive company and effort.

I would give David and his work more stars if I could. My husband and I are extremely happy with the work David did for us. He cleaned out our air ducts and carpets and area rugs. He walked us through the process and explained in details what he would do. With a newborn on the way, it was very important to us that we were not bringing a bunch of chemicals into our home. David reassured us that all his materials are green, which we loved. He went beyond our expectations and we would highly recommend him to family and friends.

I just had my carpet repaired by David and it looks great. Our dog chewed up the carpet and now it looks like there was never any damage. He was super friendly and very reliable. I can’t even believe that they were able to salvage my rug. What a great job David did cleaning my fire and smoke damaged rug. I would defiantly recommend them to any one who needs there rugs or carpets cleaned.

I called KMC Cleaners to help me with some cigarette burns on my carpet. David, the owner, came out, on very short notice. He fixed most of the problem on the spot, then refused to charge me.
He was extremely pleasant, and enjoyable. I trusted him immediately. The following year, I called him again, to take care of a similar problem. Again, he came out, and fixed it, and refused to charge me. I am not saying that he never charges people, but I am saying that he is a genuinely good human being, and cares more about helping people, than making a fast buck.
We spent several minutes talking about piano, I am a pianist, and his daughter, who he has in lessons. It was such a pleasure talking with David. He has a loving, enthusiastic personality, and really listens. It leaves you feeling good. I think anyone that needs carpet cleaning, or repair, or anything at all, couldn’t possibly do better than KMC cleaners. I wouldn’t hesitate to call.

OK, Let’s get started.
My Home: Clean all the carpet, the bedroom, living room, dining room, office and hallway. Repair two separating carpet seams and one burn mark. Clean the kitchen linoleum. Clean and reseal the bathroom tile. Full half day job.
Get 5 estimates: 2 big time nationwide firms, 2 local companies and 1 statewide.
Evaluate all 5: In presentation, explanation of services provided, guarantee and that always evasive «personal touch» David and KMC were the hands down winners. Their price was exactly in the middle, not the highest, not the lowest and they even gave me a « Unilocal» discount. Shook hands, see ya in two weeks.
Two weeks later: Promised to be here between 9:30 — 10:00am, they called at 9:20 and said they were on their way. Got here on time, Technician Joe, and immediately got started. Work, work, work work. David arrived about an hour later and began carpet repairs.
Results: (Approximately 4 hours later)
Carpet repairs, perfect, simply flawless.
Carpet cleaning, excellent, 25 – 30 year old carpet with some significant «established» stains made to look and smell wonderful and those old stains gone, amazing. Dried in approximately 2.5 hours.
Bathroom tile, lol, «so that grout really is white !!!» Better looking than I can ever remember it. Tough, work intensive job too.
Kitchen linoleum, stripped bare and looking very good.
This house has been in my family 70+ years and is very important to me. David and Joe treated everything with way more than respect.
