I was really excited for my mani and pedi I just felt like the nail tech was really aggressive and rude. I’m really relaxed and still tipped her good cuz I’m not a cunt. For $ 40 and she didnt clean up my nail bed before adding acrylic. The lady who did my toes was sweet, but also my toes nail bed bled while she did my pedi. But I loved the gel selection. Don’t think I’ll be back.

Just got home from Z Nails. My French gel nails look beautiful… as always! Love my red toe nails, too! Always clean and friendly. I will continue to be a customer!

I went in on Saturday ¹²⁄₁₂ for a gel mani and a pedi, service and everything was pretty good.
Unfortunately, my nails started chipping by Monday ¹²⁄₁₄. Today (Wednesday) is the first time I had a chance to go in and tell them. Again, today is Wednesday 4 days after I got a GEL manicure, 4 nails on my right hand have no polish on them because it lifted and peeled completely off, my left hand is no better. I went and showed them today and they were so rude about it. I told them I couldn’t stay and get them re-​polished today but wanted to show them as soon as possible. They said if not today then nothing. I said I wanted my money back and they refused. After going back and forth and arguing for a bit, we worked it out so I can come back tomorrow after work. After tomorrow I will NEVER be back.
Update: I went back on Thursday after work. The lady who yelled at me the previous day (I didn’t catch her name) greeted me. She immediately mentioned my Unilocal review and had me sit down. First, she said I misunderstood her when she said I couldn’t come back to get my nails fixed. I told her I understood her very clearly. She started the process of taking the gel polish off. She then said she wanted to watch me delete my review or else she wouldn’t fix my nails; this is after my nails are wrapped in foil. I told her I’d consider it once my nails were redone. She started yelling at me saying she wasn’t going to fix them unless, I deleted it right then and there. I said no and asked for my money back if she didn’t want to fix them. She refused. We went back and forth for a while. She argued the review was bad for business and I couldn’t imagine she thought yelling/​arguing at a paying customer, in front of other customers was good for business. FINALLY, her partner Cathy told her to stop! Cathy said she’d fix my nails for me. The other lady got up and I sat and waited for Cathy. Cathy was very professional and fixed my nails without incident.
I want to note that on my original visit I went in with a girlfriend, we both got gel manicures, both got pedicures and I got my eyebrows waxed. I was overall happy with all the services. My only gripe was all my nails lifted and peeled completely off. I wasn’t complaining about how they were done or the customer service. It could have been a very easy fix. However, the one lady decided to go a different route.
If you decide to get your nails done here, ask for Cathy.

My initial visit was great! One of the ladies did my nails perfectly but this second time around I got a poor job not what I wanted at all and she even told me I couldn’t have them thinner when I’ve had my nails done thinner before! Also charged me 40bucks just for an overlay! Never paid that much even with a full set gel! I won’t be going back! Her poor job at the end of the day was the result of this

I am beyond picky when it comes to my nails. But every time I leave Z nails I love them! They have the best gel, and also a large variety of nail colors. Even after two weeks of not getting them done my nails still looks like I just had them done. The service is always great overall I have no complaints and will continue to come back here.

Went here for a date with my husband. One of the few dates we get now that we have two kids. We both got mani/​pedis. They took their time, and were patient with me even though I changed what polish I wanted 3 times. They’re salon has lots of natural light and the usual massage chairs. My husband was happy, I was happy. I even saw them fix someone who had gotten their polish messed up somewhere else. We’ll be back.

I almost don’t want to review Z Nails because I don’t want to share my new found secret nail salon but they do an amazing job and deserve to be known. The salon is nice and bright with comfortable massage chairs. More importantly (to me), they carry DND gel which I’ve found to last the longest and have the best selection of colors.
I have MAJOR trust issues when it comes to trying out new nail salons. I’ve had one too many painful experiences with being cut and nail techs not caring about the quality of the gel they apply on someones nails.
I didn’t catch the name of the girl who did my pedicure but she really took her time to perfect my toes and gave the best foot massage. Susan and Kathy are also perfectionists when it comes to doing my gel claws. Kathy does Korean gel nails which is something I’ve never heard of before but she uses a different kind of gel which I may have to try out next time

As a first time customer here, I was very happy with the service and my pedicure. It is highly clean, very modern, up-​to-​date equipment, with OPI nail polish and Essie (no cheap brands). The girl who did my pedicure was very thorough and took her time on the foot and leg massage. I highly recommend this salon and will gladly return.

Just needed a basic pedicure and decided to try this place while my car was getting smog checked across the street. The technician was great and very nice and the salon itself was fresh and clean. I’ll be back for sure!

First time coming and my experience was great. Kathy reassured that she knows exactly what’s she’s doing with 15 years experience in Korean gel nails. I went somewhere else prior to coming here and I must say Kathy is a pro no lumps no bumps all even nails. I’m happy they do need more people for the walkins but overall great quality nail work

I started going to Z Nails and Spa last month, and this is the best salon I have found in the Bay Area. I have been through about five, here, and San Francisco, over the last five years. It is the most intelligent, clean, and sensible place I have been. The management is extremely nice, and they actually listen to what you want. I heartily recommend Z Nails, and plan to keep going back.
Plus, it is the best quality work I have had. Extremely pleasant experience, and nice décor. I don’t hesitate to give Z Nails five stars.

2 mani/​pedi appointments on a Sunday morning. They were ready for us, welcoming, good massage chairs, clean salon, fast (but I didn’t feel rushed). The only downside is that the the variety of regular polish colors is lacking.

Initially I was going to give this establishment 4 stats but after all of my gel mani paint has literally peel off after. only 1 day. I came in and the lady doing my pedicure gets 5 stars. They were very friendly but when she put my nails under the uv lights it was so painful. I was getting burned so bad, she said it was normal after you take out your acrylics but that has never happened to me. She applied 3 coats of pain and it looked really thick and bumpy. I had this yesterday evening and this morning they looked very bad. And this evening they came off. I think it was because she painted over my skin. Anyways im not sure I will try this place again.

Kathy gives a great pedicure. I told my sister and now she comes to Z Nail Spa for her gel fill and pedicure. I highly recommend you try this spa. Great service!

I had my pedicure and manicure done here and love it! The service was great and the price is affordable. The receptionist was friendly. I had Hang did my manicure and she was awesome. I will definitely come back and highly recommended this place.

I don’t know even know where to begin. So I wouldn’t normally branch out and try new places but my regular lady is out of town and her business is closed :(. No biggie, she so needed a vacation!
Anyhow I thought I would give this new place a try, especially because of the pictures and how it looks so inviting! So I called to make an appointment and the receptionist/​co-​owner lady was friendly. I told her I wanted a pedicure over the phone and she told me they had several pedicures to choose from, and I said that was perfect!
So when I got there, the receptionist/​co-​owner, was siting down which seemed she was having a meeting with some of the other owners. I walked in and had to wait to be greeted. She seemed bothered and I was disturbing her meeting! The nail salons I usually go to are so friendly and welcoming, this one was not! Plus they barely had any nail polish selections to choose from!
Not to mention There are no signs on the wall of their prices or their services! The owner didn’t ask me what kind of pedicure I like and just pointed to what chair to sit at, I wad like ookkk… however the lady doing my pedicure was friendly and took time to get to know me. She was nice and she did give a good massage! She was considerate, though initially the water was not to my liking and she quickly added warm water.
However, what made my experience seem very interesting and quite unfair was when another customer came in and the owner/​receptionist gave that client a choice of what pedicures she wanted?! WTH?!! She didn’t even ask me what kind of pedicure I wanted?!
The atmosphere did feel unprofessionally. Also It’s over priced. The pedicure was ok and the lady giving me a pedicure was nice, but not the owners/​receptionists. So sad for a new business to start off this way towards a potential new client who can bring in more customers.
Unfortunately I was totally disappointed and upset by the unfriendliness, unfairness, and lack of hospitality. So sad for a new business. I am only giving them 1 star for the lady giving me a pedicure because she seemed to be the only one who cared.
