Fuzzy Paws Premier Pet Care was founded by Jennifer Reyna, who started taking care of animals in childhood — from family pets to stray cats — before making a career of it. In 2002, Jennifer started working at a professional pet grooming salon, where customers noticed her special connection with animals and asked her to sit for their furry family members. Once Jennifer started pet sitting, she realized she could make even more animals’ lives better by providing daily dog walks in the East Bay’s regional parks. Now Fuzzy Paws proudly serves pet-​loving families in Oakland, San Leandro and Hayward,

Jennifer started Fuzzy Paws to provide high-​quality dog walking and pet sitting for busy East Bay animal lovers who need a little extra help giving their precious furry family members the best possible care. I recently moved to the Bay Area and was stressed to find a good walker that my dog would be comfortable with. Thank goodness I found Jennifer! She was so quick to respond to my inquiry about walks and put my mind at ease.
Every day I come home from work my dog is super happy (and tired). Even on days when I have an unexpected schedule Jennifer is able to accommodate. I can’t recommend her enough!

Jennifer is the most responsible and professional dog walker anyone could ever hope to find. It’s been about two years since I started working with her and I couldn’t be happier with the care and conscientiousness she has provided in walking my 12 year old Navy Norweigian Elkhound, Baby. My dog sits by the door and waits for her to come and returns happy and relaxed. Thank you Jennifer, you are the best!

We have two cats that have to stay together and we prefer to have someone come to our house to take care of them when we travel. It’s so hard to trust someone new to come into your home and take care of your babies while your gone… that is until we found Jennifer with Fuzzy Paws. Jennifer not only came by daily to feed, water, clean litter box, water plants, pick up mail but she also took the time to play with our animals. We received picture text messages of our furry kitties and even video emails of them playing with the toes Jennifer brought. Recently we took a two week trip to Italy and I was nervous leaving them for that long. Jennifer did an excellent job and put my fears to rest. Each day we got an update with pictures and video of our kitties and it made my trip so much more relaxing knowing they were in good hands. We have found our permanent sitter in Jennifer with Fuzzy Paws.

I contacted fuzzy paws for a last minute two day boarding for my Maltese and Yorkie and was really impressed when arriving at the location. The cleanliness and size of the back area was unbelievable. There was plenty of space for them to stretch there legs and run around. Jennifer was really sweet and genuinely cares about dogs. The best part of all she text me and sent pictures of my dogs having a good time, which made me feel really comfortable about leaving them. Fuzzy paws is HIGHLY recommended! Jennifer was a 10 in my book.

I found out about Fuzzy Paws Premier Pet Care from our university alumni mailing list — one of my fellow alumni, Melvin, had started a pet sitting service with his wife, Jennifer. I emailed them after deciding to take a quick trip over Thanksgiving weekend. Jennifer was fortunately available to take care of our Shepherd and invited us to visit their home in San Leandro a few days before we were scheduled to leave. It turned out that their pet boarding service is a lot different from the pet hotel we’d used before — they have a dog-​proofed suburban home with a fenced-​in back yard (and two dogs of their own), and they board the dogs in a family environment rather than in a separate stall or room. When we visited with her, Jennifer gave us a lot of time and spoke with us about her dog training /​grooming experience and her philosophy on dog care. Jennifer also took the time to learn about our dog’s background, what commands she responded to, and what she enjoyed most on a day-​to-​day basis.
When we picked up our dog after Thanksgiving, it seemed like she’d had the run of the house for four days. Previously, when we used a dog hotel, our dog had been pretty upset. This time, it was clear that she’d been really happy and had a great time with Jennifer and Melvin and their family. She was even a bit tired because Jennifer had given her a lot of exercise during their time together. We were also grateful they charged about as much as a dog hotel, even though they gave a lot more personalized care. We would definitely board with Fuzzy Paws again, and we’d also recommend them to anybody in the Bay Area who has a well-​socialized dog.
