My first visit with Dr. Stein was excellent. Got right down to business quickly identified the problem. Explained the treatment process throughly
and treated my injured wrist with excellent results. Very professional.

For workers comp, this guy is the worst! Stay away!

Was referred to dr. Stein because he is so called the best out there. maybe so but if your black with tattoos he will belittle your intelligence. I didn’t understand the way he phrased a scenario so after every word he thought I didn’t understand he says wait maybe I should use words you understand! He didn’t thoroughly look at my hand I think because it was the work from another DOCTOR. These doctors just want the money and have no care for their patients it’s all a statistical number game and study with these doctors dealing with a job injury you will never get the attention you need only statistical study numbers and time frames where you should be post op of surgery. this guy is a joke STAY AWAY

Andrew Stein fixed my cubital tunnel syndrome. The office is very friendly and easy to work with.

Find a different doctor.
This guy has an extremely high opinion of himself, and a low opinion of you. He will treat you like crap, blame you for his short comings and when the day is done, he does subpar work. I am medically worse off for having gone to see him. If he couldn’t keep the promises he made, he shouldn’t have made them. Honesty would have saved me a horrible outcome, and a horrible surgery — made worse by him directly.
He doesn’t seem to care about anyone but himself. Not exactly the bedside manner is hope for from a dr.
Please find another doctor.

I give him a quarter of a star. He is a doctor with a God complex. I asked him if after (his suggested) surgery I would be as good as new and he told me that only an uneducated person would ask that question. He over talks you and does not want to hear your questions. Needless to say, I told him he was rude arrogant and condescending. Got my papers and left.

Dr Stein did a phenomenal job on my carpal tunnel surgery in January of 2014. Yes, there was a long wait prior to my appointment. However, he spends lots of time talking to you about your condition, lab-​work, and what to expect for an outcome. He even provides HGTV for your entertainment. His work is excellent. Yes, office is not fancy, but it’s clean. Better yet, the staff is wonderful. I could care less about the beautification of the office. My goal was to have a completely functional, pain-​free hand.
I was reluctant to do the surgery, and so I put it off for way too long, 10 years. By the time got into see Dr. Stein, I was hurting badly. The surgery took all of about 12 minutes, and my recovery was so smooth. My hand healed quickly and with no visible scar; oh yes, I am pain free. Many thanks to Dr. Stein and his staff.

My son went for carpal tunnel evaluation and he went to this office.
He felt that the instruction he received and the treatment was super.
He eventually did need the surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome. This really helped his condition and especially as his work involved being capable with both hands in fine motor skills.
He is not the sort of guy who writes reviews but he was very pleased with Dr. Stein and his team.

I went to Dr. Stein because I had carpal tunnel in both hands. In November I had my left hand done and it went pretty smoothly. In. January I went back for my right hand and scheduled my surgery. The day of the surgery I arrived at 7:30. I waited for an hour and a half, then I went and asked how much longer I had to wait. The answer? About 2 hours! Apparently there was a surgery «squeezed» in before mine that was over 2 and a half hours long! No one bothered to tell me that though. Then post op appointment came along and I had my stitches taken out. That evening, I was carrying a light bag at the store and looked down and my hand was gushing blood! When I called Dr. Stein, his response was put a band aid on it and don’t «baby» your hand. I was pretty pissed off about his disrespectful answer and his tone of voice was downright rude. A week later, I noticed my hand wasn’t healing like it should and made an appointment. When I went, Dr Stein seemed like he was in a hurry. I told him my concerns (at that point I really couldn’t use my right hand because it was painful still) and he acted bored while I spoke! While I was talking, he put headphones on and started dictating out loud! And at the end, he stood up and started walking out of the office while I was still seated. And his response to me? «I can’t do anything about your pain.» And then he walked away! I DO NOT recommend this doctor and I will NEVER go back to that office!

I wish I could give this «specialist» negative stars. My 87 yr old great grandma went in to see Dr. Stein 2 days ago because her carpal tunnel has been giving her more pain than usual. Dr. Stein asked her where the pain was and she pointed at a part of her hand but tried to explain that the pain only started there and was going up her arm and she wanted to inform him of her recent broken arm since he had no history on her carpal tunnel. He raised his voice and told her he didn’t want an explanation that he just wanted a simple answer to where it hurt and that he can’t fix her whole body because she is too old. My great grandma got scared and tensed up and didn’t want to be there anymore. My grandma (her daughter) asked him what his problem was and that he didn’t have to speak in that manner and they left. Dr. Stein has a bad attitude and temper. He is unethical and should not be a doctor. Doctors are supposed to make you feel better and comfortable about your medical complications not worse. My family is upset she had to go through this and we definitely do not recommend Dr. Stein, as a matter of fact we advise anyone to avoid his services/​place of practice.

first off i want to thank dr. stein and his crew for being a wonder group of people including mike and jerry (and the ladies that work with them) in the physical therapist section of dr stein’s office and a special shout out to «jenn» she is his right hand, she listened to all of my whining, in the office. great group off folks from the ladies answering the phones to maria that schedules surgery appointments. thank you for being nice and having patience with me through the three surgeries i went through in your office. now the reason for three stars; the three surgeries preformed were a left and right carpal tunnel and ligament reconstruction tendon and interposition with mersilene augmentation (in short i had a joint removed from my left thumb and replaced with tendons). the third surgery was rough, dr stein’s work was great. it was done oct 2012 and it is now almost june 2013 and i still have problems with my left thumb, it will never work as a regular thumb again because its not a «real functioning thumb». i will not longer be able to touch my left ring or pinky finger, it gets in the way of typing (not saying as you can see i can’t type at all its just a struggle) and has little to no strength. i have to depend on my left hand fingers to use my left hand. dr. stein wanted to preform this surgery on my right thumb (HELL NO!). its been three years of fighting with workers comp and dr stein about how serious this surgery is because, in my opinion, in their mind i can go on to live a normal life. not possible! unless you have gone through living without using your thumbs you wouldn’t understand. i have to adjust EVERYTHING i do, from washing dishes to taking a shower to styling my hair. i’m upset because of the down play of how serious this surgery is and i pray that i might still be healing (even though its been six months). after the surgery i had a temp cast for about two weeks so that the swelling could go down, after that the real cast comes on for about six weeks. my work comp case is coming to a close and the final report from dr stein’s office was awful. as i stated before i believe that the third surgery is extremely serious and dr stein and workers comp insure should also see it that way before approving this type of surgery.

I had the misfortune to have Dr. Stein assigned for my carpal-​tunnel surgery. He decided that I needed to have wrist and elbow surgery for both of my arms. All I was seeking was a second opinion on my right hand. The moment I questioned the surgery he was terribly upset and immediately threaten to stop my worker’s comp benefits. I agreed with the surgery on my right arm and now 3 months later he tells me that I should be all better and unless I agree to do surgery on my left arm he would terminate my benefits. Are you kidding, I haven’t fully recover from my right arm’s surgery and since I didn’t agree with more surgery he stops my benefits. I’m still in pain and I’m not convinced that the surgery he did fixed me. I’m in the process of seeing another doctor to evaluate his surgery and treatment. It is obvious that Dr. Stein is working a corrupted system and making the most of it. Thanks to him I still have an injured right arm and no benefits, two kids at home and a wife with no real income. I can only say that what goes around comes around. I hope to never to cross paths with him. Thank you for reading.
