Where do I begin?! Mark has known me since I was maybe 9 years old (I’m 29 now). When me and my husband decided to renew our vows for our 10 year wedding anniversary, Mark was the very first person who came to mind. At first, he was unavailable, but when my other photographer choices fell through the cracks, Mark worked his magic and came to the rescue and officially became our photographer. He is so passionate in his work and loves what he does, and you can see it reflect in his photos. By the way he communicates with his clients and works his camera, he’s a natural at all of this. He did our «engagement» shoot in San Francisco, and that was a lot of fun! The location was perfect and the pictures were so meaningful, romantic, sincere, and the mood of the pictures were perfect. Throughout the months, Mark kept in touch with us to make sure things were going well with the wedding planning. When I gave him a list of my requests for the wedding, he kept it all in mind and used them on the day of and he understood what I needed. On the day of the wedding, Mark was there with his awesome partner John. While my husband was getting ready with the boys, Mark and John captured those moments. Then he went to where the bridesmaids were getting ready with me. Wherever he went, he was always upbeat and had lots of energy, and was enjoying taking all the pictures. You can tell he was proud and ecstatic. Throughout the day, he captured all the special moments. What was awesome was that he got along so well with my videographer, Joel from JKapture Studios! Usually, photographers and videographers try to stay out of each others’ way, with the thought that they would get in each other’s films. However, they both worked so well together a lot of my guests thought they were one team! It was a lot of fun taking pictures with Mark and John as our photographers, and I can’t wait to see the images. I have no doubt they will turn out more than we dreamed of. They were very professional, accommodating, fun, and easy to work with. Mark Chua did such an amazing job at capturing anything and everything that I wanted! As soon as I spoke to him about the «feel» and what I wanted to capture, he nailed it. Not only did he provide me with the exact «vibe» that I was going for, but I received my photos in the most timely manner with some great shots that were by far, some of the best wedding photographs I have ever seen.
It was tough to call on how the images would come out, being that I had my wedding in the evening, so our only opportunity to do group shots was in the dark. Even with extreme chances of rain, really dark photos and bad to no lighting, the photos came out perfectly! Mark was professional throughout the process, he made me and my (now) husband feel comfortable and not awkward like most in front of a camera would be. All I had to do was tell him what I wanted to capture and gave him some reference photos and he did exactly that and so much more.
I would highly recommend Mark Chua and Vivan Sachs and her team, they know what to do and what to capture, at the best price and the turnaround time is not like other photographers. They work with you and really get to know you to really make the photos personable and unique. If that’s what you are looking for, please use them for your next event or special moment!

When I launched my swimwear business last May I was in desperate need of a photographer on semi-​short notice and on a tight budget. I was referred to Mark by a friend, and we hit it off during our first conversation. I knew he was my guy! He understood my ideas and concepts very well and knew exactly what I was looking for. He’s SO fun and easy to work with and he makes the process of photoshoot planning way less stressful than it usually is. Mark was great during the shoot as well. We had so many unforeseen delays and problems, but he worked through all of them and produced amazing photos. He’s also great with the models. He made my model feel comfortable and worked with her in a way that gave her the most confidence while still having a good time (despite the crazy winds and cold weather). I would highly recommend Mark for any kind of photography work. :)
