The Chef’s Chateau

I wish I had the opportunity to experience the customer service other reviewers have raved about. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.
At the beginning of November I called several caterers to look into having Thanksgiving dinner catered. Daniel was the only one who returned my call who was available to cater on Thanksgiving day. I was pleased that he had returned my message promptly. He was at a job site and was unavailable to go into any detail about the menu but said he would email me a menu that evening. I waited for 4 days and didn’t receive anything so I called him to follow up in case my email address had been typed wrong. 3 days later I received an email from him asking if I had had a chance to look at the menu he sent (I guess he did have my email right). I replied immediately that I never received a menu and had called him earlier in the week to try and get one from him. He wrote back and apologized and said he would be home in an hour and would send the menu. The next day I still had not received a menu. I emailed him again. No response.
I still have not heard back from him or received a menu.
Bottom line, I don’t appreciate my time being wasted, especially when holiday meals need to be ordered in advance and often have order cut-​off dates.

We hired Daniel to cater a dinner party for 20 with the request that we didn’t want a «sit down» formal dinner, but a grazing style party. We also requested that we
wanted this «turn key» including linens and plates so that we wouldn’t have to deal with any clean up.
Daniel came with an assistant chef, and 2 servers — originally I thought having 4 people might be overkill for a party of 20 — but realized quickly that we needed all 4 in order to ensure that the food was constantly being offered to our guests.
As our party included several children (aged 10 – 12); we included S’mores for dessert, which the kids did over our backyard fire pit.
Everyone raved about the food and the service, we couldn’t have been more pleased with how the party turned out.

I would give him NEGATIVE stars if possible. Do NOT choose this Daniel Cole guy. I spent three weeks discuss and finalize menu and setup arrangement with him for my husband’s 50^th birthday, and on the event day he was a NO SHOW! And this is was after he charged my credit card and gotten my address and confirmed arrival time on the day before the event day! I tried to reach him with emails and calls, and he didn’t even answer or respond. Then hours later, he sent me an email saying he was in some fight with his wife and he couldn’t leave. What a complete jerk. Worse than that. Don’t let him spoil your event.

Danny, was able to bake a cake for an anniversary party that I was hosting very last minute. He was able to make a raspberry lemon white cake that pleased not only my tastebuds but all of my guests’ too! He worked with my budget and gave me more than I could ask for, the cake was elegant and looked beautiful. Danny, is professional and really listens to your needs. He is a great Chef and I will be using his catering services for upcoming events! Thank you Danny!!! Definitely the best.

If you have this company cater an event for you, I recommend Daniel’s BBQ sauce! It is by far the best flavor of BBQ sauce I have had. But anything you get from him is going to be amazing. If I could give more stars, I would!

They are fantastic! Daniel catered a reception for 60 at my home and significantly exceeded my very high expectations. First, he was a pleasure to work with at every point — easy to get ahold of, very responsive by email, and extremely efficient. Setting up the menu and working out the details were seamless and fun, as Daniel put together a menu that was pitch-​perfect for our group. On the day of the party, everything went exactly according to plan, plus extra touches and flexibility when it came to special requests. As we were coming back to our house directly from my daughter’s baptism and some guests were sure to beat us there, we really had to depend on Daniel and his team. Our trust was well-​placed, and upon our arrival everything was humming along beautifully, our guests all had drinks in their hands, food on their plates and at least five people came up to me on my way in to tell me how wonderful the food was. They presented the food in such a lovely way, and the cake was just gorgeous, huge and delicious… I wish I’d had it for my own wedding! He and his staff were extremely congenial and helpful to all of our guests, went out of their way to assist elderly members of the family, and at the end of the day they left my kitchen cleaner than they found it.
If you want to treat your guests to a delicious, warm and welcoming experience, I highly recommend The Chef’s Chataeu.

I have now been at two events that have been catered by Daniel Cote’s The Chef’s Château and have been really impressed with the food. One was a Thanksgiving dinner with 12 people (the turkey was the best I’ve ever had — so moist and juicy) and the other was a very large birthday party, where we had a lot of very satisfying finger food (which was enough to count as my dinner). As a guest at both occasions, it was great to see that the hosts were very happy with the food, too. I can highly recommend this service.

I called Chef’s Château to cater my party for 15 last weekend. To be honest i was skeptic from past caterers charging me an arm and a leg for mediocre food. I told Daniel exactly what i wanted; two Tri-​Tips, two chickens, two racks of ribs, New York steaks, with all the fixings. He showed up to my house with an enormous smoker and a big smile. I knew that this was the right guy for what i wanted. He smoked all the meat to perfection, and hand crafted perfect potato salad, gourmet salad, mashed potatoes that melted in your mouth, with a handful of appetizers for the guests. To top it off I have a vegetarian girlfriend and he went out of his way to make her a one of a kind portobello mushroom smoked veggie burger topped with avocado and a lemon zest mayo and hummus so she could join in one all the courses. I even loved her veggie burger and I’m a carnivore at heart! I WILL DEFINITELY BE USING HIS SERVICES FOR CERTAIN VERY SOON! Not to mention his prices were better than all the quotes I received.

I can only say great things about The Chef’s Château! We had our Thanksgiving dinner catered by Daniel, and everyone was most impressed! I don’t think there was a lot of talking during dinner, mainly «mmmm“s and «ooo try that!!“s! We were a little hesitant due to the fact that we had never had Thanksgiving catered, but after our first few bites we knew we made the right decision! Everything was impeccable! Not only was the food amazing, but the professionalism that Daniel presented was top noch. When the food was delivered, he did not just drop it off and leave, he spent the time to provide details about proper heating instructions, and even made time for small talk. His polite manner put us at ease, and his food definitely made us want more! I found out The Chef’s Château does cooking lessons for an amazingly affordable price, and am very excited to say that I will definitely be signing up for some! If you want great food for affordable prices, with the professionalism you cant beat, id definitely recommend The Chef’s Château!

Daniel catered my wedding on 7÷9÷11 and did an amazing job!!! I wanted great food but was on a budget and did not want to have to skimp on other aspects of the wedding. Thankfully I did not have to compromise and was able to get delicious, amazing food and all within my budget :)
Daniel provided excellent customer service-(WISH I COULD SAY THE SAME ABOUT ALL OF MY OTHER VENDORS :(was prompt and listened to what I wanted. It was never difficult getting in touch with him and he was able to tweak the menu last minute to cater to my sporadic wishes.
The food was amazing! Most guests told me the day of and weeks after that it was hands down the best wedding food they had ever had. I was so busy, nervous the day of the wedding so I can’t speak for all of the food because I must admit I did not try it all-​but everything looked super pretty and from what I heard EVERYTHING was delicious. The set up was beautiful and the serving dishes were perfect. Attention to detail was a solid 10. Thank you so much for catering my wedding.
