I had to do a small fix as a result of a leak (leak is a compliment to that thing) and I called the company talked to a guy called Micki (I’m probably writing it wrong). He gave me all the info needed, came over, did the assessment and did a faboulase job! I hope I will never need them again but if I do they will defiantly be the right company to get the work done in a professional way and in reasonable cost! Highly recommended!

I’ve called this company twice this week to try and schedule an appointment. The problem is, they never answer, it just goes to voicemail. To make matters worse, they NEVER call back. Not even once to say that they were busy. So much for being «SWIFT.» Don’t waste your time with this company

My family just bought a house in Milpitas, the inspection report said the crawl space was moist, but never mention any leak. The tenant just told us there was a strong musty smell around the kitchen. He said it came out from the sink. We had our contractor to look at it. There was a leak from the kitchen from the wall. There were water went under the crawl space and smell like musty. The leak has been there for a while.
I’m so glad that I called Swift Restoration. My sister saw a review in Swift Restoration in SF that they actually do have a location in San Jose and left a message. But it is better to fill out the online form also. I called around 2pm and Michael stopped by the next day because he was fully booked and I met with him the next day. He is really friendly and honest. He gave me the estimate within 2 hours. Once I confirmed, he called me immediately to set up the appointment. They were so efficient and took care of the problem within four hours. Even our tenant is amaze the different. I deal with different restoration company before. I found Swift is the best and professional. Thanks Mike for all you did for us.

I’m so glad that I called Swift Restoration today. I saw a review in Swift Restoration in SF that they actually do have a location in San Jose because the names are very similar on Unilocal and I was confused. (Michael said Unilocal doesn’t let them to put the same name but calling SF location would also work.) I called around 3 and Michael stopped by within 15 mins. He is really friendly and honest. He told me the spots that disclosure report suspected to be mold are actually evidence of dampness and my detached garage doesn’t need their help and is in good condition. He also provided me some suggestions for preventing mold. I’m really thankful and relieved.

Called and told Michael, who answered, that I had an issue with mold in one of the rooms in my home and that I would like somebody to come out and take a look. He hesitated for a moment and then said he was sorry but he was completely booked up and that I should call another company (no referral).
I’m sorry. You’re completely booked up until when? Tomorrow? Next week? Next year? Until retirement?
Maybe my job was too small for these guys, I don’t know.

Michael is just the kind of person you need in a leaky bathroom situation! I called to get an estimate, and not only did he pick up the call, he scheduled an appointment for later that same day! Off to a great start.
Fifteen minutes prior to our scheduled appointment, he calls to let me know he’s on his way. Now I’m really shocked!
Michael shows up, listens to my situation, and then walks me through his thought process to determine the source of my problem. He spends at least a half hour testing, inspecting, and even crawled under my house (ew) and snapped some photos to document what he found. You know what he found? I need new caulking around my tub. That’s it! You know what he charged me? NOTHING. Not a penny.
I may not need his help this time around but you can be certain that ANY time I need a plumber in the future, he is at the TOP of my list.

Michael came to our home and gave us some recommendations on what to do in order to pass the inspection. Did not even charge us for making the trip and not perform an inspection! After implementing his recommendation, he came back, took the samples, and we passed thanks to his suggestions!

I filled out the online form and within minutes got a phone call. I got professional advice regarding my high humidity townhouse. They gave me some good tips on how to lower my humidity level and spot for mold. I was happy with the service I received. I haven’t decided yet if I will get the mold inspection so I can’t comment on anything other than the initial online form and professional advice I got on the call.

I called Swift Restoration Co. today, 8÷20÷13, as I needed an inspection of my crawl space. Michael not only promptly returned my call but also came to my home within just a few hours. There was no charge for the inspection. I felt that Michael was very honest and helpful.

Michael came out the same day I called. He did a free inspection and did not suggest we test for mold, but rather better ventilate under the house. He recommended another company to do the work since Swift doesn’t install fans. He was prompt, kind, helpful.

I called them fearing the worst: that they would diagnose something that I couldn’t know for sure was true or not and be presented with a pricey estimate. Michael came out, did an inspection, and assured me that there wasn’t any obvious problem. We had installed a vapor barrier recently with another contractor. He inspected the work, confirmed its quality, and recommended a wait and see approach. He was reassuring and above all, honest. And all for free! It’s the way to earn customer loyalty! And he came the same day I called — can’t beat that!

Great find on Unilocal.Michael and Swift Restoration really impressed me. We’d been told by a couple of physicians to have mold testing of our home nestled in the redwoods. Michael spent the better portion of an hour inspecting our home and explaining his findings with me. Ultimately, he talked himself out of paid work (the inspection is free but the air samples cost). Instead, he earned my profound respect and a future of referrals! That kind of honesty and forthrightness is hard to come by.

Thanks Unilocal for providing consumers with this tool — who would you call without knowing someone who has done this — and most people don’t! I read all the reviews in this category, and Swift stood out as very trustworthy and professional. That is exactly what I found — Michael came out, super helpful — no mold luckily! — but he also gave us some really solid advice as to what may be causing the funky odor at our second home.

As an urban, white-​collar girly-​girl, I am at a marked disadvantage when it comes to dealing with service and repair companies. Most of the time I don’t know what I actually need or what it should cost, and so have to rely on the recommendations of the good people of Unilocal,and the integrity of the company I’m dealing with.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t always turn out so well; I’ve experienced my share of effusive praise and promises followed by inferior (or worse) performance. In short, I’m a bit skeptical of 5 star reviews and always wary about buying services I don’t know anything about — like mold and water damage inspections.
So when I decided to buy a cottage in the eternally damp redwoods, I wasn’t entirely confident I could find someone I could trust to do a full and accurate mold inspection. I mean, it can be deadly right?! Nothing to mess around with… Based on Unilocal reviews, I called Swift Restoration and was initially pretty pleased — prompt, friendly, helpful and full of (free!) information… everything you could ask for. But they really earned my gratitude and trust when Michael came out to do the inspection and testing itself — he was thorough, explained everything, friendly and most importantly didn’t try to charge me for every little service, or up-​sell me to additional services. In short, he was a true professional. Luckily, we didn’t find mold or evidence of water damage, but if I ever find myself in need of removal services, I know who I’ll call :)

I have known Ido, the owner of Swift Restoration, for a few years since when I worked for a fancy property management company in San Francisco, and Ido worked under a boss with a different mold restoration company. I now live in Monterey and there was a horrible case of burst pipes/​mold in my rental house; and landlord ignored it. I peeked around online for a local vendor, called 2 companies and noone called me back. Since it was an emergency, I txted Ido and asked if he knew anyone who worked in the area. He said he’d take care of me and sent Michael (bear in mind, it was Friday @1pm, and Michael was there at 3pm). Next Wednesday morning we had a full lab report on hands. It helped me and my boyfriend get out of the lease and get our full deposit back.
I want to stress that Ido and his crew would do this for any good client, not just a friend. They are extremely knowledgeable and have a fantastic work ethic. If you have encountered mold in your place, they will take care of the problem very professionally.
I have been a renter in the USA for 7 years and a property manager for 4 years. Believe me, I have met all kinds of vendors and I don’t just go around writing reports on Unilocal (bad or good). I am just very thankful and hope my review will help someone make the right choice while shopping around for a mold remediation company.

These guys are quick and they get the job done right! We have a mold problem in our apartment and they were able to get rid of those bad boys for a very reasonable price. Better than other places we consulted. They also did a great job cleaning our carpet and getting the pet odors out, something our previous professional carpet cleaner was unable to do.
