WardTek has really turned things around! Kerry contacted me and made things right. He was able
to help me get my repairs completed and made me feel like I was his most important customer. He is knowledgable, friendly and stayed in communication throughout the project. His painter, John, couldn’t have been nicer. They both made me feel well taken care of and I would recommend them without hesitstion and will be calling them in the future for any construction or repair needs. Thank you Kerry, John and WardTek!

Words cannot express the fabulous service we received from Ward-​Tek who completed a total rebuild of our house after a fire. From the beginning owner Kerry was at our service, meeting with us, answering our copious questions, always available. I can’t imagine how this rebuild would have ever been completed without the help of comptroller Karen who does everything from providing detailed invoices, to installing doorknobs, to being available to answer our many questions ²⁴⁄₇. Karen is able to plan and think ahead. There is no problem she cannot solve. Her husband, Scott, was the job boss, providing his building expertise and rebuiding us our fabulous home. Everyone from the cleanup guys to the hard working workmen were friendly and professional. Thank you Ward-​Tek!!!

I never imagined I’d have the fun of writing an immensely positive review for my contractor when I started the process of repairing what started out as a minor water leak, and ended up between mold and more, a major kitchen redo involving removing and replacing flooring, ALL cabinets, drywall and countertops in the kitchen and connecting family room.
State Farm itself was amazing (but that’s another write up) and I’m here to share my appreciation for the great team at Ward-​Tek. Kerry was just as detailed and thorough as others have shared, and the entire team (despite some minor scheduling issues at the very start) were friendly, professional and dedicated to making sure things were done right. Kudos to the different folks who caught errors by other vendors and made sure I was well taken care of at every turn. Whether carefully prepping for the day, focusing on the work of the day or cleaning up thoroughly when they wrapped up, they were all amazing and true professionals.
Special thanks to Scott W., so brought in family members over a week end to make sure we stayed on schedule.
Dedication, professionalism and follow through galore — could not have asked for more. My highest recommendation here and my grateful appreciation!

State Farm routed me to them after a fire damage as they are a preferred vendor with them. They have been so slow and unreliable with the estimates that they put together, the adjustor recommended me to not go ahead with them and we ended up starting the process from scratch with some other company. Being have to deal with them cost me 7 weeks of wasted time.
Lying to people is not a good thing. I don’t have the time (neither the interest) to explain all the details but as far as I could tell Bob seemed very comfortable (but not good) at lying.
Also with regards to reliability, let me tell you that when I saw the first estimate they prepared, I thought nobody in the right mind would pay so much for this much of work. (otherwise all the software people would quit immediately and go to construction business…)
So I was not surprised at all that the adjustor wanted to go over this estimate on-​site. I was present at that meeting. It was going like the adjustor saying, so your estimate here says 9 feet of XYZ to be replaced, even if you want to replace it entirely I only see 6 feets of it, where is the rest, and Bob responding OK let’s fix that. Your estimate says this needs to be replaced but this seems perfectly fine why do you think it needs to be replaced, OK cross that as well… and really, it wasn’t like the adjustor was trying to get the estimate down by getting rid of some necessary items in the list in any way. Also, if you really put in a replacement into your estimate, that costs more than $ 10K I would expect you to be able to have at least a supporting argument, maybe not a great supporting argument but surely something better than just staring silently.
Eventually they prepared another estimate that was less than two third of the first one. Based on the time it took them to prepare these estimates and how unreliable they have been with the numbers they came up with, the adjustor said I am sorry for the lost time with them so far I think starting this process from scratch with another company would be the best both for you and for State Farm. So we did.

After writing all this, I got a call from the owner of the company telling me he understands and cares about the these problems, and he didn’t know about these at the time, and now after seeing this he followed up with my estimator and decided to call me to apologize.
From talking to the owner of the company, for example the way he asks some detailed questions about how something happened and so on, it is obvious that he does care sincerely and he is not faking it. I was never a paid customer of this company and honestly I really appreciate this kind of follow up.
Above is my experience my Ward-​Tek, and it is entirely true story, therefore I am not going to remove this review. However, I felt the need to add on top of the review because after talking to the owner of the company, because I don’t think anymore that my experience above is a fair review of Ward-​Tek entirely. I think it was a fair review of the estimator I had on my case, Bob.
My advice to everyone working with Ward-​Tek and get Bob assigned to their case is to ask for somebody else. And if you can’t get somebody else on your case, ask until you do.

This review was long overdue but I had to write it because Wardtek really took care of us when we needed them. We had fire damage three months ago, Kerry from wardtek was very professional and nice to work with. He provided us with fair estimate for the fire damage of our house. He worked very hard and helped us at ease dealing with our insurance company. He completed the estimate and work diligently. I highly recommend Wardtek if you need someone to provide excellent service for your home.

Our insurance company, referred us to Ward-​Tec to get a hole in our bathroom ceiling and back wall of our bathroom repaired and painted from water damage caused by our neighbor’s washer hose coming undone. The estimater, Bob Smith was wonderful; very kind and knowledgeable. Scott was very good, thoroughly looking over and confirming what needed to be done once before the work began and on the day of the work with his guys. He honored my request to use low voc paint (with very little odor.) The techs, Neil and Vario were wonderful and very thorough, Neil making the drywall repairs and Vario painting. For the two days they were here, they worked their butts off and answered any questions and kept us updated on everything and a day ahead for that matter. I am taking off two stars because of the poor communication with their office staff and the lapse in time to get everything fixed; it should not have taken a month-​in-​a-​half to get this taken care of. We should not have been inconvenienced because the scheduler was out; they should have had someone else schedule us. Our insurance company and Service Masters were faster at getting everything reviewed and cleaned up (see my reviews.) I would never wish this on my worst enemy, but these are the guys to call if you need damage restoration.

I was assigned to have Ward-​Tek td repair work from AAA insurance after we had massive water damage in our condo. Kerry was responsive and nice to work with, and I liked Manny the foreman too. They get 3 stars because communication with their office staff was pretty bad. They dropped the ball several times regarding HOA Architectural Review documents, and not communication well with sub– contractors (which in all fairness I picked out and maybe I should have gone with one of their normal subs) which resulted in several weeks of delay. They are probably great if you are more organized than I am and can stay on top of your own project’s progress.

If you have a disaster that requires a restoration contractor, these people will only add insult (maybe even literally) to injury and cost you a lot more money in the end. They take advantage of people in trouble, do little to help, then charge whatever they want in the end. It’s a great racket for making money and driving insurance rates up.
On a personal level, they are rudest, most dishonest, inconsiderate bullies you could ever deal with. If you have to call a restoration contractor, take a chance with somebody else.

Unfortunately for me, I WAS a contracted client, and even more unfortunate, I had the displeasure of speaking with the author of Ward Tek’s response to this review too many times. She is just an awful person.
