Never knew this location existed. Took off one star because the service is slow. Came on a random night, 45 minutes prior to closing… little to no customers around besides us. And they still took quite some time to get our food out… and the fries were warm, not hot. I expected the food to be scorching for them to take THAT long to get our food out. But I won’t take off more than one star because Popeye’s never disappoints. Love the fries. Love the chicken. Love the biscuits. Love the dipping sauces.

I like this place when Asian man(Richard) is working — I would happily give this place a 5 star rating if it was about him. But the last time I came here, there was a young Indian(?) lady(Nathalie) working the front. When I arrived, it was about 20 minutes before close, and of course they weren’t making any new stuff she gave me the list of all the choices that were unavailable: «No mild strips. No spicy chicken pieces. We ran out of beans and rice.» When I told her that list consisted of everything I had intended to order, she seemed pretty unconcerned — no suggestions, no questions, nada. So I ordered from what was available and made a mental note to try the other Popeyes at Capitol/McKee. She started filling boxes, and I could see her picking up pieces of chicken, looking them over, inspecting each piece, putting some back on the pile — when she finally chose one to put in the box I couldn’t help wondering«why that piece and not the last 10 she picked up?» When I got home I found out why: she had to look pretty hard to find a piece that small(see photo). Pretty impressive. If I owned a place like this and I was about to close, and this customer had just been forced to settle for a bunch of food she hadn’t wanted because everything was gone, I would give the customer a bunch of extra stuff. Not her! So yeah, the food is good, but damn, what’s wrong with these people?

Chicken and fries were good, but customer service wasn’t, the cashier gave so much attitude and when she handed me the receipt angrily because I didn’t hear what she said when she asked mild or spicy. They need to work on customer service.

I been here when they first open but on my recent visit, I receive really poor customer services. Very hard to understand the cashier and very confusing with the order. They screwed up my order and Im missing 2 item from my orders. I highly recommend not going here.

Service is so so slow, so slow to where I given up my addiction to the Popeyes because I can’t stand waiting 20 mins for chicken… I thought it was fast food not a 5 star restaurant

They lock the door 15min before closing. They’re lying if they say they don’t have any chicken. It’s good that they’re «we’re hiring» signs are up because they need to replace that one employee with coccsuccing lips telling me «WE’RECLOSE!»

WORSTPOPEYESLOCATIONINSANJOSE! I WISH I COULDGIVETHEMZEROSTARS! I’ve gone to this location multiple times in the past because of its close proximity to my house, but whenever I would come here they’ve always disappointed me. This is a list of a few experiences I’ve had of separate accounts/visits: 1. The pieces of chicken were cold and SUPER greasy. It was like it was just sitting there. Definitely not fresh from the fryer. 2. They take forever with your order just because you got a family pack. Every customer gets a number on their receipt. They should honor the numbering system; not the amount of chicken pieces you order. It’s unfair that someone that just ordered a 2-piece gets their food before me when I’ve been waiting for my order for a good 30 minutes already. 3. One of the younger female employees was quite rude. I just asked when will they be making more sweet tea since they were completely out of both options, and she said«You’re gonna have to wait» with so much attitude. 4. My most recent visit — The Hours of Operations sign says they close at 10pm. I got there at 9:40pm, and the doors were already locked. What’s the point of the stupid sign being up, if you’re not even going to be open for the WHOLE f**king duration. Like, I know you still have chicken in there, so why aren’t you open to sell???

Chicken is good at this location but not the best. I would have given this place 4 stars but there was no customer service at all. The employees here look miserable. The best Popeyes in San Jose is located on Capital Automall.

No leftovers when we order from here. Always same Chinese man at the register during the weekends. I assume he’s the owner. Chicken is consistent and my children’s favorite chicken strips.

This place has HORRIBLE customer service and needs help. Someone please tell corporate popeyes to come down and get a new owner and management into this spot. It needs HELP! Popeyes is a great chicken fast food place, but this location makes you not want to eat here ever. I believe owner is this older asian lady that is cheap on sauces. I mean I understand some people may go overboard on sauce, but this lady hands out like ONE ketchup!!! SMH!

Closed early cause they are out of chicken, when you can clearly see a counter full of chicken. Suspicious…

We love Popeyes, the food is great. Unfortunately last night we bought some take out and found a piece of chicken basically raw. Check out the photo.

Worst experience! At 9:40 pm, 4÷28÷15. Almost closing time. two of the cashier are just talking and talking. Giggling most of my stay. I waited for 10 mins in line and there are 3 cashiers but only one is doing it. one asian and one indian female are just talking and gigling. next, i waited for 15 – 20 mins for the chicken to cook. When it was ready, no one even bag it or put it in a box untill i called these ladies! Then my order was ready, it was just sitting there for few minutes before i was called. That was fine. But, when i went home, the cajun rice was half the container. Worst was it was as hard as uncooked rice. Very disappointing! I was suppose to go back but they closed. Worst popeyes branch and staff! Not even worth a star!

What can I said, first time there and it was not such a great experience. Placed my order and it took forever for a 3piece tender, and the stuff seems to be playing around and not working cuz, it took more than 15 min. And the chicken was sock in oil, not tender, not crispy, I won’t never go back nether eat there again.

Pros: Best binge chicken eating deal on Tuesdays. Come by for the $ 1.69 for two pieces deal. If you’re into paleo or just into chicken. If you’re hear looking for a posh dining experience, you’re pretty much not the best decision maker. Fast food joint with cost effect quantities. That’s what this place does best. Tip: get the ice tea to wash down everything

The last few visits have gotten steadily worse, and I’m done with this place. Luckily I’m moving on in my work and won’t be near this particular store any longer. The staff has degenerated to the point of being one of the worst I’ve seen at any fast food joint, and that’s saying something. The most notable of these fuckups is the one Jae T has a picture of. She has no sense of urgency, and the day I decided was my last visit she had friends sitting in the booth facing the registers talking to her in Hindi, distracting her further from her job. She would take time out to talk to them and interact before working with her customers. Eventually there were at least 5 customers in line and she was still talking to her moron friends, giggling and fucking off instead of getting people taken care of. On top of that, one of the cooks drives a green Mercury van and doesn’t know how to park. He puts his car in all crooked and off kilter, with the right front tire over the line and the rear right tire on the line, and has blocked me from being able to get into my car at night when I’m leaving from my work in the same lot. I guess that’s just more evidence of the level of intelligence and care they’re hiring at this establishment. Lack of self-awareness or regard for customers and other people are at the fore. Service is awful, wait times can be unacceptable, especially when that Indian girl is working, and my stomach has had issues the last couple times I’ve gone here. PASS

Horrible horrible horrible service. How is their service? H O R R I B L E !!! Their employees are always in a bad mood and rude!!! My goodness, out of all the restaurants I have Unilocaled… This is the WORST! Who cares about the quality of the food if the customer service SUCKS! My bad experiences at this Popeye’s location: 1. Cashier(her name is Sapna, and she’s indian) does not pay attention to you, even when you’re the one she’s helping at the register.(I asked her for extra sauce, and she straight up ignored me and continued to gossip with her coworker). 2. My meal came out wrong and I told her to fix it. When she came back with the correct order, she slapped my box of food onto the table and glared at me!!! Oh my word… I have never, NEVER experienced such terrible service. Wow.

I asked the cashier, «Hey, so is the owner really that bad?» Cashier looks around the restaurant. Not a soul was in the building. Sweat begins to form on her forehead. Her hand is shaking, trembling. The lights begin to flicker. A loud baboon screams from the back cooking area. Cashier: «She is very good.» The Cashier hands me my food and walks to the back. I get my chicken and leave. I open up the box and find a note: «Please help.» I threw the note aside and started eating the chicken. The chicken was definitively good Popeye’s style chicken. The buttermilk biscuits were appropriate flaky and chewy. Seasoned fries tasted like the fries at all other Popeye’s. Can’t really complain. I had to deduct some stars for the Cashier and her erratic behavior.
