Advantage: opens early. Disadvantage: food sucks Banh mi thit nuong sandwiches were dry, meat was not marinated, and bread was tough. I couldn’t even finish half of it because it was not good and too dry to eat. Save yourself the trip and go to Lees or somewhere else. I rather get American fast food breakfast than go here.

don’t go here! bad place for sandwiches. the bread is very hard( old bread?). sandwiches are very bland and not very tasty. they don’t put enough meat in their sandwich. i also bought their steamed peanuts and it was still raw. the only good thing about this place is the fresh vegetables they sell. skip the sandwiches.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. This place is a joke for their sandwiches. I ordered the #12 which is suppose to be the banh mi nem nuong, and all I got was a toasted baguette slathered with mayo, hand full of pickled carrots and daikon, and one small piece of nem nuong sliced in half. Felt like I was eating a carrot and mayo sandwich. All of this cost $ 3.00! Never am I coming here again. I only came here because it was convenient and close to my work and I wanted something quick and easy. Who knew this place was so cheap with their ingredients. All their items there look like they’ve been sitting out for days. Save your time and money, and go somewhere else!

All you get here is a lip service. I would give NEGATIVE star if there is an option here. I order couple party trays and confirmed few times that I will pick up on Saturday at 2:00PM. The owner told me over and over that«Sure, I remember, will make it on time and get ready for you.» I showed up at 2:00PM, waited for about 10 minutes to have someone called the owner out to talk to me. The owner said«I am sorry, I thought that it is for Sunday. Very sorry, can you come back in 1 hour and will make up for you». Well, I felt in her trap again. I came back to pick up my order and didn’t check it. I reached home and learned that the order was only 2⁄3 of the food I normal got from the PREVIOUSOWNER. I was pissed and called her up. She lied to me that they left another pot and forgot to give it to me. Well, I ordered porridge and it only filled 3⁄5 of my pan and the things going with this soup only ½ of the tray so there is no way they missed or left it. She told me that she will bring it to my party. I told her that it is far away. She told me that it’s ok so I gave her the address. She now came back and told me that it’s too far so I should leave my name and number(She already got it when I placed the order) so she will make up for me again. I told her that she does not need to do it since there is no need since I won’t come back. I talked to few more people at the party(since I was still really pissed) and learned that other people got the same problem.

I’m not a fan for their prepped foods. Most of their prepped foods are not good, to me at least, and they usually look old(every time I’m there). But if you are looking for fresh groceries, Phi Khanh sales some groceries, and they are fresh!

Phi Khanh has prepped food all over the place. saw banh mi on the board but so pricing so passed. grabbed a package of shrimp imperial rolls(3.50) or so i thought –wrapper chewy not a good sign –didn’t taste so fresh –last roll had chicken meat with gross taste(spoiled?) tossed it, and spitted everything out. leftovers: –place was busy so something is wrong here.

I’m turning soft. Time outs instead of scolding, letting someone overcharge me without putting up a fight, accepting no for an answer on a date. Am I giving up too easy? And now this… my last seven reviews were four stars or higher. I do have other five star reviews teed up, but I do have the need to balance the good with the bad, the handsome with the ugly, the sweet with the sour… you know where I am leading to. I always like Phi Khanh, except when they run out of bread. If you want your banh mi good, fresh, and cheap, this where you go; I just wish they would show more discipline and not make my sandwich with the same hand that just reached into the cash register to make change. Phi Khanh, at least I know your bread is fresh, but please don’t ever run out.

It’s not very clean inside, and majority of the snacks you can go next door to Maxim for a better price. But I only go here for the Cha Lau. haha, and when I do, it’s buying literally 5 – 7 rolls. There’s over the counter hot food as well as sandwiches, but the food isn’t all that great unless you stick with the chicken leg quarters. It’s my safe food, because I’ve tried some of their other food, the fish can be a bit salty and the sandwiches can be dry and very little meat(like meat in the center only) The packaged desserts I’d try, since they’re delivered from elsewhere: D I’m kinda afraid to try whats in the counter because I don’t know how long it’s been there… and I’ve had bad desserts experience there if you know what I mean :(

OK I gave this place a second chance. I really wanted to like it but I just don’t. I’m not a picky eater but really it was all bad, again. First off I ordered 2 items over rice OMG6 bucks for crap? Really? See photo. The rice was OK the curry chicken had a strange spicy flavor and it was 2 pieces mostly bone. No no no the other item was pork ribs OMG more bones? WTF? Where is the meat? I think there was 4 pieces of that so basically I paid 6 bucks for some rice with bone samples. Sorry I will not be back a 3rd time

Mediocre at best. I was expecting this place to be a Ba Le(Oakland), but the food as unappealing, the set-up was unwelcoming, and it just rubbed me the wrong way. I was forced to eat here as it was my only option. I just ordered a simple Banh mi with Pork Cake and it was just mediocre. You can’t really mess up a Banh mi too much.

I have not been to the store. But my sister catered some of their eggrolls and i’m a fan now! They were still crispy and yummy 5 hours after they were already cold. My 5 yr old son who is an extremely picky eater had 4 of them in the same day. I ate what was left from the party the next day and they were still yummy, not greasy at all. Will cater from here myself for the next family event.

The People —– I giving it four stars on all the yrs i’ve been here… i would give it 5 stars but the lady owner over there is a moody woman… a bit greedy too… trying to jiff me many times… I usually go at night because there’s one of the worker there she’s really cute… nice too. she’s not pushie about how long u want to glacé at the food… and smile at you too … hehehe The Food —– they have very good variety of food from the healthy to the not so healthy food but soul food of Vietnam… they also have snacks, deserts… lots of food for one place…

I’d give this place a 4-star as a regular customer, but a 3-star if you’re walking in. First and foremost, if you plan on grabbing something quick for lunch, come here. BUTCALLINWITHYOURORDER. They make nam nuong rolls here, and they’re great, but the problem with them is they make their stuff in the morning and sell it throughout the day. Their rolls are only good fresh, so order ahead of time. In fact, you should probably do this for everything you get. If you just come in though, expect food that is good, but not great, and definetly not made fresh for you. You can always request to have it made fresh, so I only recommend getting the stuff off the counter only if you’re in a rush. The rolls are the main specialty of this palce though. Other than the nam nuong rolls, there’s also bbq beef rolls, spring rolls, and some other ones. They’re all 3 bucks, and you get 3, so it’s not that bad of a deal. Everything else is pretty standard. If you’re looking for deserts or snacks, you might want to just drive down the road to Lion’s plaza instead. I’d say me and my family are regulars, mainly because the food is decent, the service is quick, and the parking is easy.
