Jeysson and his team were great! They trimmed four large trees and removed two diseased trees. Work was done on time, as promised and looks great. I would highly recommend their services.

I highly recommend Jeysson and his team to get your trees trimmed. I had two tall overgrown trees (liquid ambers) and they did a great job. They also trimmed my neighbors overgrown pine tree and our orange tree and Jeysson came and checked on the work and or any concerns. I feel lucky to have found them, very professional, they gave me a good price and they did great quality work. I will definitely use them again.

Just had New Leaf and Jeysson come out and take down a gigantic 40 foot dead tree that was in a tricky spot. Anyone without experience could have really caused major damage to property but Jeysson and his team did a fantastic job. They also took down three other large dead trees and the work and clean up was impeccable. I highly recommend and will use them again for all tree work.

Hired this company after reading Unilocal reviews. However, its been a thorough waste of time and money. Save yourself the trouble and hire someone honest.
They showed up late for the original appointment with excuses and didn’t even care to apologize for making us wait for an hour. Instead they blamed it on us saying we asked them to be there at a later time.
The work involved working with two groups together — private trees and community trees. For the private trees, they said they do not remove the dirt after removing the tree. We clearly told them that if they do not remove the dirt, then we will find someone else to do the «entire» job. Immediately they responded, ‘okay we will take care of the dirt. we have to bring someone to do it, but we will take care of it.‘
They offered an attractive low bid for the entire job, kicking out the competition. Once they knew they were getting the job, they called and renegotiated the price for dirt removal every other week. These guys made promises that they cannot keep and reversed the blame to us in a ‘he said — she said’ manner. They went to the job site several times to check the amount of work involved, so no surprises there.
Scheduling was always tentative — «I am trying for next week — may be Wednesday or Thursday’. They dragged the project out for weeks because they cannot set a fixed date and stick to it. They called at short notice on three different occasions, weekends and weekdays and asked if they can do the work «right now». Given the volume of work involved at the job site, we should have been a primary appointment, not ‘squeeze me in’.
When I asked them about permits to remove the tree, they said the trees are small and in the backyard and don’t need city permits.
Finally on the day of the job, AFTER they finished the community job, they renegotiated the price yet again for the dirt. They claimed that we did not show them the dirt, even though they went to the job site several times. At this point, we had enough and canceled the private job. However, it was too late to withdraw the community job. They ended up exploiting the situation to get the big job to their benefit. They played cleverly to call us AFTER they started one part of the job.
Further, they tried to make us a captive audience by saying: ‘We can give you this high price if you accept right now. But if you ask us to come back later, we will charge you even more.’ Jeysson tried to defend himself, sending photos, claiming he didn’t see the dirt, rewriting history, claiming he is only an employee and a middle-​man, and finally ‘lawyering-​up’ on me. At this point, Jeysson also said we do not have permits to remove the tree. As a licensed professional, it is their job to get the permits. And he clearly told me that permits are not required.
We do not want to work with people who lack integrity. We’d rather pay a higher price to someone who is honest in their dealings. This company lost a recurring client — if they had done a good job, they would have got repeat business to maintain the community trees every year.
Save yourself the trouble from working with this company. They constantly rewrite facts. Why encourage companies who exploit the situation to their short-​term benefit?

I just has New leaf remove a tree I had in my backyard yesterday. Jeysson was, from the first call, extremely professional and explained the process perfectly and answered all my questions. The removal was very quick & clean. I will use them for any tree service and will recommend to all my friends.

We used New Leaf Tree Service twice in the last month. They initially came out and provided some great education on the health of our trees and offered suggested trimming advice accordingly. They then quoted a very reasonable price for trimming our Elm tree, Cherry and Plum trees plus the 3 large curbside trees. They were quick, they cleaned up the cuttings and they left with our trees looking well groomed.
We highly recommend them to anyone looking for great tree trimming services!

I talked to Jeysson last Friday and got a very reasonable quote for my four large trees; a Monterey pine, an oak, and two palm trees. He and his crew came out the next day. They shaped the trees nicely and lightened the branches quite a bit, since I was worried that a dropping limb could cause property damage or injure someone. They cleaned up the yard nicely.
Best of all, Jeysson spoke very calmly and professionally to my neighbor who was angry that she hadn’t been notified that the tree crew was coming. The crew was able to finish the work in a way that was reassuring to my neighbor while still getting my trees in good shape.
I highly recommend New Leaf.

This guy interpreted my unique requirements correctly and executed perfectly on them. My tree wound up with just the right shape and just the right amount of body to create a nice filtered light. (The last guys who tried this made it look like something out of a Dr. Seuss book.)
The main guy (his name escapes me at the moment) jumped in and did a lot of the work in the heat of the day because he was short-​staffed that afternoon. I appreciated that he could step up instead of rescheduling.

I hired Jeysson to trim 3 large redwood trees in our backyard and his crew did a fantastic job! 2 guys came early Sunday morning and finished on time. I was very happy with the result and the way they cleaned up my yard afterwards. These guys are very efficient and professional. Jeysson is very nice and easy to work with. He was available throughout the whole process to answer any question or request that we have. The price was also very reasonable. I would hire him again the next time I need my trees trimmed!

I have used Jeysson two times, both times he did an excellent job of trimming my trees. I have very large sycamores and maples in which he did a great job cleaning them up and keeping the shape. He is a super nice guy, he came on time, his crew was also very nice. They did a great job cleaning up afterwards as well. His prices are very competive. I would highly recommend him.
