I came across Lightbulb from friends that have hired them for weddings. My company had a product launch and they wanted someone externally to record the big day since we didn’t have the bandwidth to do so ourselves.
My company loved how personable yet professional they were. They never got in the way of our guests and in two weeks, we had an amazing video that not only reminded us of the fun we had that night but also made everyone so proud of all the hard work we put into making our company a success.

The Lightbulb team filmed and produced a video for a corporate event I was working at before in san francisco. I met one of the guys filming. I was able to see some of the shots that they showed me on the spot and was impressed by them. I got their contact after and stayed in touch. They showed me the video after in just about two weeks and was blown away by what they edited and put together. I was a bridesmaid for a wedding that Lightbulb filmed at earlier this year. The videographers were very professional and experienced. They definitely knew what they were doing and were running around everywhere to capture all of the details and shots. We all saw the final wedding videos and were amazed at the final turnout. It was nice to relive the day again since it was so long and tiring. Capturing these important moments are great, but making sure you have the right team to capture it is even more important. Lightbulb is definitely a great film/​video production company here in the Bay Area. They definitely have the creative imagination for motion picture. The work they produce is high quality and superb. What stands out most about them is their ability in storytelling. I’ve seen many other videography companies out there, but their work is just edited and thrown together. Lightbulb seems to really take their time in piecing together a masterpiece that is timeless. Lightbulb = AMAZING!
A few weeks back, I attended a wedding for one of my close friends and was able to see the Lightbulb team at work. My main focus was, of course, on the bride and groom. I couldn’t help but notice how amazing the Lightbulb team was! They were extremely friendly, professional, and so conscious of the guests. They have definitely mastered the art of working weddings– they were able to catch priceless moments of the wedding without compromising the intimate ambiance the bride and groom had set.
What topped it off was when everyone was seated for dinner– the lights dimmed and the DJ announced a same day edit video. I wasn’t too sure what I was about to witness– The Lightbulb team must be ninjas. They were able to capture the wedding, edit the footage, and piece everything together so seamlessly within just a few hours!
It got everyone in tears– including myself! (I didn’t even cry during the wedding ceremony, shhhhh!) It was a magical moment that Lightbulb was able to capture. The look on the bride and grooms faces was priceless– and for that, I am definitely going to book them for my wedding! Whenever that may be ;P

I have been following Lightbulb’s work for about 2 years now. They have covered a few of my friend’s weddings and do amazing work. The Lightbulb team is very professional and you can see they have a true passion for what they do. It’s amazing that they are able to put together all of the visuals to tell a story.
They just keep getting better at their craft and I can’t wait to have them film and produce my wedding video one day soon. Back in 2012, they shot one of our good friend’s wedding and showcased a music video that they shot before the wedding day. The crowd went wild and everyone was cheering. We just had the Lightbulb team shoot our wedding on Sept 14, 2013. Our wedding was not the typical wedding: began at 8:30 AM (filming started at 8 AM) and ended at 2 AM. Did I mention it was a 1100 person wedding?! Our wedding schedule was:
8:30 AM Tea Ceremony at my house and fiances house
3:00 PM American Wedding Ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara
5:00 PM Cocktail Reception 1
6:00 PM Cocktail Reception 2
7:30 PM Wedding Reception
2:00 AM Wedding day is over
They showed up as scheduled at 8 AM to my house and my fiancé’s house and started with great energy. Starting the day hearing ‘this is going to be great day. I could tell it’s going to be fun’ definitely reassured me that everything was going to be okay, to enjoy the day and brought me back to reality. They had the same energy level as when they started the day as when they ended. They were so much fun to work with and brought good vibes to our wedding throughout the whole day.
The one thing I am truly amazed about is our ‘surprise’ same-​day edit. My fiancé had no idea about this. While the dinner reception was going was, they pulled aside and announced to our guests that they had a surprise Same-​Day edit video for us. The video wasn’t simply just capturing what happened earlier in the day, it was like a movie. The music, the angles, the mood, and the timing of everything was PERFECT. I teared up and my maid of honor was crying her eyes out watching the same-​day edit. I don’t know how they did, but they did and made our wedding day just that much better!
I highly highly recommend them for any type of video. They amazed me so much that I am 100% confident they can shoot anything and create the vision you want and even more.

My husband and I hired Lightbulb for our wedding day this past labor day weekend and are so happy with the same day edit video they have produced for us. Back when we started planning the wedding, we had no interest in hiring videographers. Then, we came across Lightbulb’s work on a different wedding and knew that we absolutely needed to hire a videographer. We spoke with several Bay Area vendors, and watched many many wedding videos. Lightbulb truly has the magic touch. There were some technical issues at the banquet location, but it was obvious that Sonny and David really tried to make it work. Our guests were so impressed with the quality of the same day edit and their cinematic approach.
