We offer Spanish immersion Preschool, «Mommy and Me» classes, after school classes and summer camps. We have two wonderful locations San Jose and South San Francisco. We believe in learning through play.

At Let’s Play in Spanish we make Spanish lessons fun and exciting. We combine rhythm, music, songs, movement, puppet shows, arts and crafts, as well as structured and academic activities to create lessons that fascinate and enchant. Our award winning Spanish immersion program allows children to rapidly learn vocabulary and phrases, while having plenty of fun. Through the Spanish language they will learn concepts and social fundamental skills for their integral development in the physical, social, emotional, linguistic, and cognitive areas.

Susy Dorn, founder of Let’s Play in Spanish, grew up speaking Spanish. Her commitment to the quality of language instruction, combined with creative lesson plans resulted in a Spanish immersion language school that consistently wins awards for its language learning programs.

History

Established in 2000.

The founder, Susy Dorn grew up in Peru into a family of teachers and musicians and combined her early childhood development degree to create a very dynamic program that fuses music, theatre, along with lots of play and interaction. She is committed to the quality of language instruction; our Spanish language school consistently wins awards for its language learning programs. We offer Preschool, After School and Mommy and Me classes in Campbell, CA, Preschool, After School Spanish Immersion in Mountain View, CA. Plus offer Spanish Summer Camps in Campbell and Mountain View, CA. We also teach classes at other schools in the Bay Area. We believe in learning through play. Learning is natural and effortless. Our classes take advantage of the natural propensity of children to talk and move around — kids get to talk, walk, sing, jump up and down and play.

Business Owner

Susy Dorn is a native Spanish speaker from Lima, Peru with a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development Education. A teacher, pre-​school director, composer, guitarist, and puppeteer, Susy has been teaching Spanish to American children for over 15 years. She has amazing charisma as an MC and teacher. Her passion and experience led her to found Let’s Play in Spanish (LPIS) and to develop its playful musical curriculum (Musical Immersion™). Currently, Susy teaches Mommy and Me classes, Summer Camps, performs free concerts throughout the Bay Area and workshops for teachers. She continues to create new songs. She has published 200+ songs, Educational DVDs, and Spanish language workbooks and lesson plans. LPIS has won Bay Area Parent’s «Best of the Best» Foreign Language Program every year since 2008 and Bay Area Magazine’s Hall of Fame Award. LPIS media products have won Dr. Toy, National Parenting Publications and the Tillywig Brain Child Awards.
