King Futon

We have been their customer for 5 years, 2 beds, 4 night stands, and also sent our friends here. They were great a while back. However something isn’t right anymore. The customer service is horrible. The guy is very rude and not helpful. When we bought a third bed he didn’t warn that it doesn’t work with adjustable motorized base. He’s a businessman and needs to know basic stuff. When we asked to exchange this bed (still boxed) for another in return he was so rude and refused. Nasty nasty guy.
I think his wife Christine is good but this guy needs to be fired.

I just love this place. Christina is awesome! Very straightforward, helpful and trust worthy. I have always ended up buying the furniture she recommended and have never had a problem. The bed we bought once had a few deep scratches when it was delivered. However, Christina took care of the issue very well and offered to replace the set and did not charge us for the re-​delivery. Highly recommend this place!

Good service and delivery. Plus the furniture was not damaged and the delivery guys set it up with 1 hour completely. And the best was that John offers the best price compared to all stores.

Simply the best people around for furniture. Kristina gives the best prices in town and the service from start to finish is awesome…
They only carry coaster and some other furniture which limits your options but if you like something from the catalog, u will get the best price for that item, guaranteed!
They also carry the Indian styles hard mattress which was a life saver for us :)

This is one of the best affordable furniture place in the Bay Area. We were looking for an inexpensive mattress for temporary use and they had just what we wanted at a great price! I was surprised to see the sofa collection they had too, we didn’t buy anything apart from the mattress but will definitely keep this place in mind when we are buying furniture next time.
It is definitely worth a visit!

This is my second time here looking for something affordable. I found this place a few years back on Unilocal and the experience was really good. The owner, Christine, was super nice and was not pushy.
Fast forward 4 years later, I moved out on my own. As everyone knows how costly it is to do that on their own in the Bay Area, I was looking for something affordable. I went to Macy’s first and looked at some sales items and found a love seat with ottoman for $ 800 and was told delivery was $ 90 for the first piece and a second piece is $ 30! Thats more than what I had in mind with the $ 125 delivery fee. I ended up going to King Futon to check it out and Christine remembered me from 4 years ago! That’s what I call customer service. She remembered where I worked back then too. Lol
Anyways, found what I liked in a catalog and talked to Christine about it but she told me to go home and do the measurements again before committing. So glad she had me do it because I ended up changing what I had in mind cause my place is so tight and narrow. While most places are pushy and want you to spend more, Christine was not. This is why I definitely would recommend King Futon.
The quality may not be on the high end side but for temporary living situations or for tight budgets, I recommend at least checking it out. I am glad I did and love my set. Its not super fancy or high end quality but its all mine!

This is the best Coaster furniture shop in the bay.
They have the lowest price with great customer service.
We got all our home furniture from this place including their custom made mattresses which are great.
The owner Christina is really sweet and helpful… she mixes well with all her customers. we have practically become friends now.:)

Their charges for delivery and setup are minimal and the delivery guy Jose is great. He setup all the furniture as per our needs and cleaned up everything before he left.
I would recommend to go on weekdays as they are very busy on weekends.

This is a real good place if you want to get the furniture for a good deal. The variety and quality is not compromised at the same time. Christine helps you select the right furniture based on your requirements. We purchased a 3+2 couches with ottoman and we got it for a good deal. Our furniture was delivered on the date promised (within a week) and assembled by their staff. I highly recommend this place!

It’s a kind of a hole in the wall place but it’s a gem! Christina the sales lady really showed us everything and gave us alit of options. Very Friendly and affordable! We got a king bed frame plus futon that we are very happy with!

Don’t let the name fool you. They sell WAY MORE than just Futon. THE place to get coaster furniture with great price.
Kristine is very nice and sweet. I was looking for furniture in my new place and she suggested me with different options giving the limited space.
I would suggest you go to coaster website and note down the pieces you like (SKU# and product #) before going there. The show room is more like storage place. Not much to see.

My son was ready to transition from his convertible crib to a twin bed, and I looked at a lot of furniture at various places online. Eventually, I found a bed with lots of built-​in storage and a matching bookcase by Coaster that I liked. The Coaster brand is inexpensive, not high-​end furniture, and I knew what to expect in terms of quality (it’s okay). I searched around online for the best price from other stores locally and around the country that offered free shipping, and then went to King Futon based on Unilocal reviews. Their price pretty much matched the absolute lowest I’d seen elsewhere, and the extra cost for delivery and assembly was reasonable. Also, I was dithering on the finish (walnut vs espresso), and Christina was patient and helpful, even when I called a few hours after leaving the store to change my mind (again). My only complaint is that I was told the items would take one week to arrive if in stock, or 2 – 3 weeks if on back order. I was informed a few days after making my payment that they were on back order, and it would be 6 to 8 weeks. It was actually just over 8 weeks before the furniture arrived. Fortunately, we weren’t in a big hurry.
The location is basically a small warehouse and there’s not much of a showroom. It’s pretty dingy and bare-​bones, not the kind of place where you browse a wide selection. They have just enough pieces by various low to mid-​range furniture makers to give an idea of the quality and finish options. I think it’s best to go there knowing exactly what you want to buy, rather than hang out and flip thru catalogues. They seem to be able to order from pretty much any manufacturer.
The delivery and assembly crew was great. They used shoe covers, were polite, and did a very good job putting it all together. Definitely worth the extra expense since the platform bed with built-​in storage would’ve been a huge job for a layperson like myself.

Really good selection of furniture (They let you select from a huge catalog). Great prices and super fast delivery. We love the furniture that we got. True to the catalog picture. Easy to assemble as well with proper instructions.
We really liked Christina, she is very straight forward and gave us all the information we needed. What we really liked was that they gave us ample time to decide what we want without rushing us or pressuring us in any way.

They are a distributor for coaster, alpine furniture etc. They have really low prices. Much lower than overstock or even walmart. The prices are mostly listed or hong/​cristina can list it for you. Very reasonable delivery and installation charges. One issue is that lot of times you have to decide looking at the catalog, and the actual feel, color can be pretty different in reality. But overall, a good place.

Like 99% of the furnitures stores around here, they are distributors for catalog furniture, such as coaster, acme, alpine furniture.
The gal, Christine who runs this joint is super nice. You cannot find a better deal. There is no need to bargain or negotiate, because the prices are so damn great.
The showroom is lacking, and this place is strictly a place to put in an order and pick up later. Delivery too for a small fee. Her customer service is top notch.

Prices are great and delivery is quick. I bought a futon and a recliner from them which seems to hold up pretty well. My only grouse is that you have to order from a catalog so you don’t see/​sit on what you buy until it get home.

So, the service is good. I got the bed quickly and as promised and the folks who set it up were nice and efficient. The bad news is that it’s not a very good product. I needed a compact sofa, so I chose the one that has 3 parts, with one part pulling out from the rest. I’ve had one before and the design of this was is flimsy. When extended the bed does not provide a flat surface; some slats create bumps. I chose the low-​end mattress, so it could fold over when the bed is in sofa configuration, but the mattress is terrible. It provides essentially no padding from the slats and I needed to buy thick foam to go under it. Was the bed worth $ 350? Perhaps. But since I needed to spend $ 200 more to be able to sleep on it, probably not…

I have heard good stuff about this place and intend to my bedroom set from them… although went there on a ‘Wednesday’ evening and the place was CLOSED, (guy next door came out and told us that this place is Closed on Wednesdays)…Does not state that here or on their website… Please be clear owners on what days and times you are OPEN!

If you are looking for reasonable prices on furniture, then you should go to King Futon. I have bought futon mattresses and futon frames from Christina throughout the years and even purchased a dining room set from her. She uses good materials for her futons and has different levels to choose from. I recently brought my cousin over there and he ended up buying a futon from her. The prices are really unbeatable. If you look elsewhere, you will find that King Futon has the best price and the best quality. She specializes in Futons and bed frames, but she also sells other furniture. She’s got a small showroom in her warehouse from bed frames, to dining room sets, kitchen sets, etc… She also has a catalog of furniture that you can thumb through if you’re looking for that special something that you don’t see in her warehouse.

I found this place quite easily. I was prepared for a «hole in the wall» so not surprised. The matresses were what i was expecting and the person helping me never tried to upsell or hide anything. All over a good experience.
Only con i felt was that the mattreses that were laid out to try looked very dirty. I was feeling a little uncomfortable lying down on them as you have to do before you BUY a mattress. They may benefit by changing the display ones to look newer /​cleaner.
