Hair 2000

Grace has been doing my hair for years. I followed her when she came to this salon, and continue to always be super happy with my hair cut/​dye. She always does a great job, and puts a lot of time and effort into my cut. I would highly recommend Grace to anyone who is looking for a new hairstylist!

Came to this Place becuase i read good things. I called and they told me to come in we can fit you in. I showed up with my friend and we sat down as no one welcomed us, and sitting there for already 25 Min, Not one of the workers there Said A word to us. Very Disrespectful, rude and waste of time. Do Not go unless you want Old Women to stare and not say a word to help you.

I came here because my regular girl was all booked and my hair has been long overdue for some some. Lupe was great! Very easy to talk to, gave me hair tips and I left happy with my cut! Not to mention it wasn’t expensive at all. I’ll definitely come back :)

First time here, saw Lupe, she was awesome! I have natural curls and every other stylist I’ve seen has done an ok job but Lupe seemed to know how to work with my hair and my haircut came out fabulous! Next time going to get color!

The last time i went i was very disapointed, ask for a specific haircut and didn’t like it!

Dropped in to see if someone had time to cut my son’s hair. «I guess» was the response. Really? Customer service and getting business is not a high priority. We walked out.

After experiencing a multitude of terrible, terrible haircuts throughout a majority of my life, I have finally found the perfect stylist, Young Suh!
I have been coming to Young for about 2 years after discovering her on Unilocal and she is just amazing. She is so knowledgeable with hair and gives great suggestions when you are unsure whether a specific hairstyle will work with your face. She also won’t deviate from the type of cut you ask for, even if she is completely against it.
I have never been disappointed after a haircut with Young. Moreover, after a wash, my hair still looks just as good as when I stepped out of Young’s chair.
Young also doesn’t charge an arm and a leg for the stunning work she does, which makes my wallet very, very happy. It’s about $ 45 for a wash and cut.
If you are looking for a new stylist, look no further than Young. Remember to call to make an appointment first before you come in :)

Omg the worst hair salon ever! Moved to San Jose and I didn’t kin any hair salon so I went to Unilocal.Read some good reviews about this Hair 2000 and so I called and they’re able to accommodate me in 30 minutes. So I get there, the front lady assigns Emma to trim my hair. I specifically said layer both sides. All she did was compliment my hair and layer the bottom part then said we’re done. So I said, «can you layer some more?» Cuz obviously, I didn’t see any layer. She cuts my hair again and says «done!» Awww, she shortened my hair instead of layering it. The worst part was she charged me $ 26 and to pay her directly! So I asked if they accept debit card. She said oh I only accept cash & there’s Wells Fargo across! Wholly cow! Didn’t say anything but I’m not going back there again ever!

I’ve been going to Lucy for years. She has always done great cuts and colors but recently I had the Brazilian blow-​out in my «not so manageable» hair and I am one happy camper! I love, love, love it! Thanks Lucy! As always you do a great job!

I just got back from an appointment with Tania. She was wonderful!
She washed my hair, styled it and gave it a blow dry which cost me $ 38. Totally worth it, I LOVE my hair! I’ve been to a hundred salons and no one could quite cut my short hair the way I imaged it. Tania did it just right! I was also offered a cup of coffee which was crazy! :D I’d recommend making an appointment before you go, that way you’ll just be in and out. (My appointment took me about 40 minutes)

I just got done with my haircut with Lupe Castillo at Hair 2000 and love it! I’ve been going to her for years and she always does a great job at a reasonable price. I’ve never been the least bit unhappy with her service. I’ve referred quite a few friends to her and they all loved her service. If you’re looking for a new hair stylist, make an appointment with her!

I made an appointment with Young after reading great reviews about her. She’s cut my hair twice, beautifully! I brought a picture of what I was looking for and she altered the style to suit my hair and face shape. Her price is pretty inexpensive too :)

Tanya did refund my money when I requested although of course she was very defensive about it. I believe she was having an «off» day and she stated no one has ever been upset with one of her haircuts. Because I left town the day after my haircut I wasn’t able to show her the hair and explain. I took pictures of it but she didn’t have me send her them. I guess I really wanted her to see what she’d done!!! I don’t think she believes she messed up!
Almost a month later and it still looks just as awful. I did have someone offer to try to fix it but I don’t want my hair any shorter than it is. If I wear my hair down I have to curl it otherwise you can see the uneven layers. Shorter in certain areas than others and further away from the bottom of my hair than requested. There are like random short pieces scatter through my hair like someone randomly snipped pieces out. So ugly. Also it turns out that the bottom is not an even cut either. Usually you get used to a cut after a few weeks right? Not getting used to this one. Or over it for months. Waiting for grow out is a very long process!!!

Lupe cut & colored my hair tonight and I’m feeling quite happy about my overall experience here. First of all, I was happy to get a 7:30 P.M. appointment since they were fully booked tomorrow because I have a busy party weekend out of town.
She (Lupe) was so nice and schooled me on my hair which is just what I need to hear because I know it was drab, dull, and dry. She showed me how to take care of it to keep it looking as good as she made it look.
For months I’ve put this off due to past bad experiences. Now I feel I’ve found someone I can trust. My hair now has volume and I got a good haircut while keeping the length I wanted.
I’ll be back for touch ups and maybe some highlights in the near future.

I. Love. Lucy. Literally! Lucy has done amazing things to my very dull and «meh» hair. She’s professional, keeps up with the trends and has worked her magic on me many times. One of the things I love is that she really listens to what you want. I’ve come in with some off-​the-​wall ideas and she takes the time to discuss the pros and cons of what you’re looking for. If it isn’t a good fit, she’ll suggest something that will work better with your features. The bottom line is she won’t let you leave the salon unhappy or not looking your best. She really takes pride in her work and wants her clients to be satisfied, no matter how long it takes to get it just right.

I have been seeing Lucy Aguaristi consistently for about 5 years or more now. She is awesome!!! Not only do I have her as my hairdresser but my daughters see her as well as my mother, aunt and many friends. My daughter’s will not let anyone touch their hair but Lucy and that’s coming from a 15 and 9 year old. She also made my Niece look amazing for prom. So all around Lucy knows how to do it all!
Lucy takes her time and will tell you truthfully what should be done with your hair. She ALWAYS accomplishes what you want. She is very resonable in price too :)
When I leave the salon I feel like a million bucks!!!

Initially, I didn’t like my haircut. But I am LOVING it right now. Young knows how to cut, because the hair really grows out beautifully. My side-​sweeping bangs and face-​framing layers are growing out so nicely and blending in well with the rest of the hair, as to give that natural flowly-​looking hair. Gave it two weeks, and the cut is amazing! Just in time for my job interview, which gave me a good amount of confidence because I looked good :)

Two words: YOUNG SUH.
Unlike most hairdressers, she actually LISTENS and FOLLOWS what you tell her to do to your hair. I’ve been going to her for 4 years, and I always get questions about where I get my hair done. Even though I’m always in Irvine for college, I always, ALWAYS come back to San Jose for a haircut, even if it means that I have to wait 6 months before I can go back home. Yes, she is that amazing, and her friendly personality makes her even more fabulous.

I have been seeing Linda Bernal consistently since 2000. She is fantastic! Over the years I have come in to have anywhere from hair coloring, updos, to regular hair cuts. I appreciate the fact that she will let you know if you might be making a mistake with a hair color or new hair cut choice. She has swayed me from making some mistakes by kindly suggesting another style or color. Her wisdom has never led me a stray.
Honorable mention goes to the receptionist, she is always polite and will go the extra mile to try and get me in to see Linda regardless of schedule conflicts.

I went and saw Young awhile back during a quest to try all the highest rated salons of the area to find my favorite places. I arrived a bit early and had to wait while Young finished up with a client, but she was on time. Upon greeting, she asked me what I wanted to do with my hair and explained her cut process thoroughly. The thing though, is that she is very hair technical – inventive she is not. The cut was just okay, but the blowdry was the worst. She curled my hair with an iron and even some of my bangs. I thought I looked like a twelve year old asian bo peep. Even though conversation flowed freely, I did not bounce out of the salon feeling suave.
Plus, as a first time customer, I totally felt like long-​time ones had preferential treatment. Her prices had recently increased as well. Note, that she takes her own personal appointments as she just rents out a station.
The salon is really basic and unremarkable. Not for me.
