I wouldn’t recommend taking your young children here for their haircut. Although this business appears to be a kid friendly salon the hairstylist’s don’t know how to handle a crying and scared child. I brought my son here a few times and he cries every time because he is a 2 year old. The last time I took him the woman cutting his hair had no way to soothe him and make him feel comfortable she just manhandled him like she was grooming a dog. After the haircut was finished we go to pay $ 17 dollars which in my opinion is very over priced for a child’s haircut. The woman charging us had an attitude and said «no tip?». She then rolled her eyes and started talking crap in her foreign language to another coworker. We declined tipping due to the high cost for the haircut to begin with. I’m a grown man and I only pay $ 9 for my haircut when I go to get a fade at my hairstylist. I just don’t understand why she had the nerve to get upset after not being tipped when the haircut is double the cost of a grown persons haircut. If you don’t like dealing with crying kids you should change your business to a regular hair salon that way you don’t have to deal with young children.

This our 3^rd visit to Tran for our daughter’s haircuts! I’m so glad to have found this place on Unilocal!Tran does a great job, she always cuts my daughter’s hair to the perfect length, ever since we’ve started with Tran my daughters’s hair is the healthiest ever and oh boy does it grow back super fast which is a plus!

I’ve been here twice now. My son 18 month old has super curly, and both times his cut has come out great! Especially since he does not sit very still. We’ll keep coming here!

We have come here for a few years now– always good service, trims are even, and there are entertaining kid-​friendly movies playing. Recommend making reservations for weekends.

Best hair cut! I took my new born daughter they did an awesome job. Reasonable price for baby’s haircut 17 $ good location well decorated interior for kids! Keep up guys.

We had a very good experience. There’s lots for kids to do. Our stylist listened to exactly what we wanted. She was so patient. We are very pleased with the end result!

My son got his first professional haircut today and we had a great experience. Tran cut his hair and was sweet and professional. He was very comfortable with her and even though his only experience of having his haircut has been with me at home, he was so calm and nonchalant about the whole thing, that I couldn’t believe it myself!
Tran let him pick his own seat and he chose a pink truck (the general pictures posted here will give you an idea oh how the space looks). Since we were early in the morning, we were the first customers but Tran mentioned that it got really busy on weekends.
All in all, I really liked the place, the smiling staff, the restroom (has a changing table if needed), the toys for the kids, the cute car seats for haircuts, and the haircut itself. It’s nice to see a place dedicated to kids’ hair and one that considers their wishes and state of mind during haircuts. Tran even gave him a cute First Haircut certificate even though this wasn’t technically his first one.
We live 20 minutes away so I may not bring him here every time he needs an haircut but I’ll surely stop by at least once or twice a year. My total cost was $ 20 with tips.

We just moved here from Santa Barbara and have been looking for a kids hair salon. Came across Kinder Cuts and pretty much LOVE this place. Real nice staff, very clean and incredibly cool for kids! Each station is a cool car or animal for kids to sit in while getting their cut. What a smart way to get kids to chill. The look on My 3yr olds face when he walked in was priceless. We will be coming here from now on. I highly recommend.

We have been going to here ever since my son was 11months old all the people that work there are great at what they do and very friendly. The place is nice and clean. Definitely recommend to someone with young children.

No More Maria, shes cut both my boys (8yr & 2yr old) Since their first cuts. New management, (thumbs down) not so friendly ladies, they ignore your child and rush for the next tip. They’ll
never replace Maria.

I would not recommend this salon if you would like any «in style» haircuts. I asked for a comb over haircut, with a blended fade for my son. The woman who cut his hair literally did a bowl cut! It was awful! The fade was completely uneven, not blended. She blamed it on him having bumps on his head? Because most people have perfectly shaped no bumps on their head right? No. Lame excuse. She could not cut hair.
After she butchered my child hairs for well over thirty minutes with her bowl style haircut, I had to complain and ask for another woman who worked at the salon to fix it. End result was alright, way shorter than I wanted, not how I pictured the final outcome at all and all around not worth $ 17 for a child’s haircut. I would highly recommend going elsewhere to get your child haircut– a great clips, would have had the same exact crap outcome for half the cost.
I would suggest to the business owner to hire stylist with actual basic talent for cutting hair, or charging $ 5 for the actual worth of their final product.

My son got his first haircut at Kinder Cuts and we were lucky to be paired up with Kim. Kim did an amazing job and made us feel comfortable from the start. She was friendly and asked questions to understand what we needed before getting started. She is super fast (in a good way), yet very precise. I have been using Kim for my boy’s haircut ever since and she hasn’t given us a chance to complain :) Thank you Kim!

First time coming to this place with nephew. Place is warm and welcoming. Greets right when i entered. It was somewhat packed when i was there but the wait wasnt long. My nephew usually get nervous when trying new place but he seems fine. Overall, customer service and quality work, i would give it a 4.5÷5 stars and would recommend it to my sister so she can take her children.

The lady cutting my daughters hair helped her get over her fear of haircuts! My daughter just asked me when she was getting another haircut. Salon is clean and has toys and play areas. We stayed 10 minutes after the haircut playing with other kids. Really happy that my daughter loved and enjoyed her haircut!

Kinder Cuts is my go to place to have my toddler’s haircut. Ian had his first haircut when he was one year old in Los Gatos with his Lola Beth; his second haircut was at Kinder Cuts. Kim is the only hairstylist at Kinder Cuts that has cut my son’s hair. She is careful, precise and does an amazing job of cutting hair when he was a little one up until now.
The entire shop is clean and well maintained. Upon entering you’ll see the front desk and on the right you’ll see the area where they have hair products for sale, on the left is the waiting area for the parents and kids with a tiny activity table. In the middle of the shop there are cars for boys and girls that your little one will sit inside when they get their haircut. They have this fun activity area towards the back of the right hand side of the shop with puzzles, books and toys. On the left hand side area of the shop in the back they have play structures with slides etc. They very back of the shop is an extremely clean restroom with changing table for those who have little ones in diapers.
Moms and Dads can get haircuts here too (though we’ve never tried it out). Kim is the main reason I come back here because she’s a fantastic hairstylist and works hair magic with my little one. I love the welcoming environment, the cleanliness and the televisions that play kid friendly movies which keep everyone entertained. This is definitely a favorite in my Unilocal Notebook!

I tried this place out last Friday as my son’s normal stylist was closed due to unforeseen circumstances. Anyhow, I walked in with no appointment at about 10:30am and there were a couple of kids ahead of us. The man in the front was nice and took my son’s name down. We waited for about 10−12mins for the next stylist to finish. When we finally got called, we were told to pick a car/​chair, my son wanted this specific car/​chair but another lady put their stuff in it and not one worker bothered to ask her to move it, so we picked another one. Already with a kind of not so good feeling about this place, the lady stylist didn’t even greet us or say hi to my boy. She just asked what kind of haircut would I like to get him. I told her what I wanted and she started cutting, not even saying a word to him, not friendly at all. She was rushing to get his hair done and missed his little hairs on his neck. She was also not very gentle. Probably not coming back. Please have your workers be a bit more personable.

I love taking my kids to this salon for their haircuts. My kids look foward to getting their hair cuts here. I been coming here since their first hair cut. The hairstylist are so sweet and they do any amazing job and take their time on each kid. The kiddos have enough to do while waiting for their turn. I highly recommend this place.

Best haircut ever! I’d been taking my four year old to another place (with better reviews) for two years, and I couldn’t seem have them understand exactly what I wanted. The thing is, he’s got a fairly large forehead. In retrospect, I was never 100% happy with the final cut (more like 85%). The other place is closed for vacation today, so I drove over to Kinder Cuts for the first time despite the poor Unilocal reviews.
My son’s stylist was Amy and she totally understood what I want for my son’s hair. It’s perfect! Short and layered around the back, just right over the ears, and the bangs are still long so he doesn’t look like an egghead (a super cute egghead, but still…). My son made a few faces when she started wetting and cutting his hair, but about halfway thru he actually said, «I’m so glad I’m getting my hair cut!» What?!
Today’s Wednesday, and since there was very little waiting my son wanted to play with everything before we left. There’s a lot of entertainment besides TVs– play houses, climbing gym, activity tables, etc. Also, they have the coolest gumball machine I’ve ever seen. This is our new place for haircuts!

Kim cut my 4 year old daughter’s hair yesterday. I asked if she can give her a layered look and she said she couldn’t because it would make her hair look thinner. I was confused because I thought more layers gives more volume but what do I know? I’m not a hair stylist. Ha. After I showered my daughter last night, I realized it was uneven… it was definitely noticeable! I came back today to get it fixed and all I have to say is that I’m never coming back because Kim was really rude about it. She didn’t even apologize. I can’t believe I gave her a $ 3 tip for a lousy haircut.
