Forever Floors & Design

Purchased around 1000 sqft of engineered hardwood brazilian teak floors from Forever. Also bought some stair nosing for the stairs.
I did not use their installers, and used my general contractor to floor the home. This was by far the lowest price that we had seen shopping around and believe me when I say, I shopped pretty aggressively. Many other floor shops (including 800 floors) suggested a joke of a floor for the same price that I purchased 5 mm engineered hardwood from Forever.
Enrique was friendly and helpful. If price is your thing, don’t hesitate to shop here.
Note this review is only for their showroom and the speed of delivery. I did not use their floor installing services.

I read all of the reviews for Forever Floors. The reviews fall into two categories: 1) Frustration from not enough or unclear communication, and 2) Awesome work! Well, the awesome work was what I wanted in the end so I decided to be a bit more proactive on the communication side. My result was awesome! The work was explained to me upfront along with the prices and the work is beautiful. My point of contact was Enrique at the business.

I wanted to like this place… I really did.
When we first came here we met Enrique, he was quite friendly and seemed to be genuine with his suggestions, and really cared about giving the customer a good experience and product. Based on first impressions, when it got closer to the time we needed the new flooring, i chose his place over several others I had visited. I went back to the store and met Jorge (Enrique’s brother) who also seemed like his customers are important to him. He took the time to talk with me about measurements, and things that we might need to consider etc. I had an entire 2400 square foot home and a condo that would need new flooring in the very near future.
Here’s where things go wrong. I leave floor plan paperwork with Jorge and he tells me he will get back to me during the early week (I stopped in on a Saturday). On Thursday I call and Enrique picks up the phone and says, yes, I see it In front of me, it looks like he is still working on it, but we set up a tentative actual measurement for Saturday. Okay great, well no big deal, just have him touch base with me before the weekend, and when he sends the prelim measurements, I can confirm the time for Saturday. Friday comes– no email, no call. Saturday I get a call saying are you home? Well… No I’m not, 1. Because I don’t actually live there yet and it’s several cities over. 2. I never actually confirmed the time because I didn’t get he email measurements. Anyhow, I let this slide because it could have just been bad miscommunication. So I actually set up a time for he next day at 10 am, verbally confirming it on the phone. The next morning I drive 30 minutes to the new house, wait until 10:30 and I call Enrique to see what’s going on. Per Enrique he can’t come because his brother couldn’t come in to work! Well that’s just fantastic. And inconsiderate! It would have been great if maybe you could call me and tell me that you had to cancel, but no, I wasted my Sunday morning, and I had to do the calling to figure out what’s going on.
That all happened 2 weeks ago, and still no follow up or email or anything. So sadly, I won’t be using their services or recommending them to anyone. I feel like I gave ample opportunities for things to be made right… I guess business must be really good, because they can clearly just blow off customers like it doesn’t matter. If you are looking into their services, don’t be fooled… Employ at your own risk.

The business is the first flooring place you see on the corner of Queens and Bayshore right off 101.
Last year I walked in looking to outfit my business with floor and im glad I went in here first.
They are experienced hard working professional experts in flooring.
They asked the right questions about my space, gave me a great price and had my boxes ready the same day for pickup. More importantly they educated me about my purchase, giving me expert advice about how to install my floor, the shape of my space and how to cut my boards to fit. It went perfectly.
The second time I went in with a sample and they matched it right away… again dropping knowledgeable advice along the way, quickly and expertly identifying the tiny edges of my sample as a specific cut then finding options that fit. even after I went to another place with the same sample, that was closer to my work, and getting bad advice… these guys fixed it. They were smart and to the point.
Come here for flooring… period… and forget the hassle in the giant superstores. These guys are about SERVICE!

We knew what color we wanted our flooring and went to a few places to compare prices. We actually drove by this place after going to lumber liquidators, a few block away. At first we were skeptical to stop by, but glad we did. They had the exact color we had in mind for our home renovation. Reasonable pricing and great customer service. It is a family owned business, but everyone was helpful!
How great is their customer service? Let me tell you how great they were.
We needed to order more flooring at the last minute (on a Saturday after 12pm, contractors were installing, but we were short on flooring) and they didn’t have any available at the store. They told us if we want it right away we had to go to the manufacture’s ware house in Fremont which closes at 2pm. (We zoomed there and picked up our order that they reserved for us.) I ask about payment and they said we want you to be taken cared first and you can stop by Monday to pay us for the flooring. How awesome are they?
Now, anyone who comes to our house compliments how beautiful our floors are. I really love our flooring. Thanks Forever Floors!

I went to Forever Floors because I was replacing the worn out carpet in my condo and wanted to replace it with some type of wood flooring. Enrique showed me options and I ended up with a laminate that looks like wood, including the texture. Not only did the team at Forever Floors rip out the old carpet and replace it with the laminate. The added baseboard through out the condo. They even worked with the Homeowners Association to get the approval on the material, which exceeded the HOA guidelines. The outcome was amazing. I would use Forever Floors for any flooring project.

I’ve been doing business with this company for some time now. I have had the most positive experience thus far.
I am a Realtor and have referred a numerous amount of clients here to have their floors done and I must say, there’s been nothing, but happy campers.
Great customer service, jobs have been finished on time and the prices make sense.

We just recently had Forever Floors install hardwood flooring in our entry, dining room and hallway and couldn’t be happier. Jorge and Enrique helped us select the right floor for our home and Jose and his crew did a very nice job with the install. Forever Floors was without question the best value in the area. Shop around, and when you’re done, go to Forever Floors. You’ll be happy you did. Forever Floors has a wide variety of product to choose from that is of excellent quality and very reasonable in price. Jorge, Enrique and installer Juan were extremely honest, helpful and professional throughout the process. The floor turned out beautiful. Thanks guys!

Forever Floors has the best deals in town! We have been searching for flooring for months all over San Jose. We kept coming back to Forever Floors. They have the lowest prices around.
Enrique has been wonderful and very easy to deal with.
The store is nothing fancy but the products and prices can’t be beat.

My experience has been suboptimal. Do not go with this company to install your floors. I’m very upset that we did. Very dishonest business.
We just had our acacia hardwood pre finished floors installed by Enrique’s installers. They had my husband and I leave while they put these coating on the finished floors. It smelled like gasoline. The installer did not know what chemical he was using when I asked.
When I came home and they had left, our brand new dark wood floors had a white haze over them. Enrique and his men assured me that my floors are «supposed to look like that». Funny, when I left the house before that fluid was put all throughout the home, the floors were dark and beautifully shinny.
Enrique did not know what chemical his installers were using. Turned out, it was a glue remover that they wiped down the entire surface area with! Also, they used the lazy method to install. Glued the boards by the wall to the wood subfloor instead of hand nailing those, and used staples instead of nails which is likely to split the wood. I have at least 10 split boards, and 3 obviously chipped boards. Enrique is trying to tell me «you can only see the chips if you look close» and «those aren’t splits, it’s the wood». Nope, they are splits.
They came to clean the haze off the floor today but still left their pencil markings all through out the pieces they cut!

Believe the 5 star reviews. Jorge and his brother are a class act, I purchased a very small amount of wood to wrap small counter at my business. When the first order came, the wood looked nothing like the sample and they gladly returned it and let me pick another type of wood in exchange. Will definitely recommend.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Forever Floors! My Mom and I stumbled across this place as we were on our way to a tile center down the street, and boy are we happy we did!
Enrique is honestly one of the nicest people I’ve ever met! He is so knowledgeable about all the products and helped us select a floor that would withstand wear and tear for our rental, but still make it appealing to prospective renters. He is very accommodating and made us feel very comfortable right off the bat. We did not feel like we were being pressured in any way, or lured to a more expensive product.
We called him a few days later to tell him that we were ready to move forward and he was at our house within an hour to measure. IMPRESSIVE! Not to mention we live 30 minutes away. He was in and out in no time with accurate measurements.
We had received estimates from other installers that had quoted us for an additional 200 ft. plus they were charging installation fees on the entire amount of material ordered!!! Enrique showed us the breakdown and explained how we are only going to be charged installation fees on the actual amount installed, and we would have material left over just in case we need to make minor repairs in the future (we were not charged installation fees on that amount). He’s a very honest and transparent person.
We had nearly 900 sq. ft. of Antique Java Fossilized Wide Click Bamboo installed and it looks AMAZING!!! The installers did a wonderful job and were in and it in a day with minor touch ups the following day. We added the extra thick padding to go underneath to help with moisture/​mildew since our house does have a basement that gets damp. You can tell it made a huge difference with the sound as well. Their pricing is competitive with the big box stores, but the level of service that we received from Forever floors is UNMATCHED!
All in all, Enrique along with his Brother Jorge were so pleasant to work with! Their communication via phone, email and follow ups is impeccable. I cannot wait to work with them again in the future, and would definitely recommend them to anyone who is considering new flooring.

My contractor, with poor reasoning, decided to order our floors, but not the trims. By the time I realized that I needed the trim, the flooring place said they did not have any in stock. Upon arriving, Jorge immediately pulled a very close match to my floor sample and gave me the best price out of all the other flooring stores I went to, PLUS there wasn’t a shipping charge. I came in the following day to place an order, saddened that I would still have to wait for the pieces to be shipped, which meant a delay in my renovations (but c’est la vie) and I was blown away by the fact that Enrique called several people, found the pieces and pulled strings so I would be able to get it later that day. Also, extra kudos that he was such a gentleman as I reached into my purse to get my check book and embarrassingly discovered a whole lot of melted chocolate inside (California heat wave). He gave me napkins to clean up everything inside, and politely waited as I wiped down pens, coins, chapsticks etc. Great work gentlemen! I am beyond satisfied.
Yes the place isn’t as glamorous like other showrooms, and it will look like you are in a trailer on the inside, but they have a decent collection of flooring and are worth checking out. I actually saw the flooring color that husband and I were hunting for when we first started our renovation, but we gave up early on in our search and settled for a second choice. I wish we came here.

Well, two years later and they’re still awesome! Came back to Forever Floors because I had such a good experience last time. And they did not disappoint. Came back because we purchased a new house and wanted to re-​do the upstairs. Told Alma my budget and what I was looking for. We decided on a couple samples and she said she would bring them with her when she came by to do the measurements for the estimate. When estimate came back above my budget, Alma worked it out and got it down so that it was very close to the budget. She was also very patient with me because we were having issues with knowing exactly when the house was going to close. There were delays and she was able to reschedule the installations a few times for us. The installation didn’t go as smoothly as it did last time. And the clean up wasn’t great. But the customer service and constant communication from Alma makes up for it. We did have some issues with our stairs, but they did come back out and fixed it.
Overall, I’m very happy with our new floors. Not every job is going to be perfect and I’m not looking for perfect. I’m looking for a business with great customer service and one that knows how to communicate and fix issues when they arise. And this one does. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them or using them again.

Around 3 months ago, we installed around 500sqft of laminate flooring before moving in to the new place. We dealt with Alma. She got the job done fast, and always on time. And the quality was excellent. And the prices were very reasonable. She arranged for the existing carpet to be hauled away for free. We shall certainly go back to them in the future.

Anyways, I dealt with Alma and she was AWESOME. We put more than 1000 sq ft of laminate flooring and put some vinyl in 2 bathrooms of our home.
Alma was very patient with my wife and I when we could not decide which laminate floor to go with. In fact, she suggested one that ‘contrasted’ our stair railing and cabinets (showed her a picture of the wood color on my phone), but we weren’t quite sure of her selection. She then offered for us to take the samples we were considering with us to the home to see how they looked. Lo and behold, we chose the one she picked and it provided a great contrast to our existing wood stair railing and cabinets.
Install with them was a breeze and went very smoothly. The installation team (led by Jose) was great and cleaned up after the job was completed. Touch-​ups? No problem, they came back and took care of it all.
Best part about the whole thing… they offered a very good price! We’re very happy with the work they did and would definitely recommend anyone looking for flooring to give them a chance to win your business.

My daughter and father went to go pick out floor and believe me, she had been doing her homework on the best deal.
After hearing about her experience with Forever Floors, specifically Richard Perez, we will absolutely, without question, be return customers. I can’t write enough comments on the just the wonderful overall experience. By the way… the best deal in town.

We recently decided to replace our living room carpet with laminate flooring, as our dogs made it a personal mission to ruin the carpet.
After checking numerous places, I decided to drop by Forever Floors. I had seen a huge range of products before, but thought that Forever Floors had both the best product, and a great price. Richard was great to work with, and he helped me make the right choice in laminate. The floor was installed yesterday, and we absolutely love the final result. It’s a great floor and Richard gave us a great deal.

I went to check out their selection of laminate floors. Richard was on the phone when i walked in, so he waved at me as I walked past him. As I was browsing, he came and introduce himself, and started asking me question about my installlatoin situation. While he was trying to get business for his installation business, it is nice to know a floor guy is interested in what the environment the floor is going into and make recommendations accordingly.
I also bought in samples that I lilke, but wanted in a shade darker. Richard spend a lot of time working with me to see the samples in different light and compare them to the samples he had in the show room. After selecting 2 items which may work, I was also able to loan the bigger samples to see how they fit in my house.
I find the retail service friendly and helpful and would gladly do business with these folks.
