My daughter attended this school for voice and piano. She enjoyed the time she attended her class and liked her piano and voice teacher. I highly recommend this school for beginners, intermediate and advance students.

So disappointed in this school. They have some rude staff and don’t care about their students all they care about is the money. As well they use their students to give good Unilocal reviews. If I was were you I would never come to this school ! This school is a disgrace to music schools everywhere ! Never have I ever been so upset with a music school. Recently I went to this a fashion show fundraising event and they played a disturbing clip of a student of thiers. In the clip they used a black student and portrayed this student as a at risked teen and in the clip they said «you can help teen like …» And I walked out to breathe and saw the teen talking to a what looked like a staff member upset and I knew she was upset with the video. you would never play this clip in a cultural event because it is upsetting!

If you have children that are interested in music, whether it’s learning how to play an instrument, learning how to sing, or learning how to act or dance, this is the place to take them! Elvie has opened the door to our future generation of talented children and giving them access to showcase their talents. The great motivation for the children to come to practice and persevere their music number is that ESOMA holds recitals and these great music production shows where they can show off their talented skills. It is such a delight to see all of these wonderful children when they perform! As a parent, I have a daughter that takes voice lessons with Susan. Susan is great! My daughter started voice lessons 3 years ago and she has improved tremendously. Not only in how she sings, but also in her stage presence. She use to be very scared and would cry right before she hits the stage. But now, she can’t wait to get on the stage. My other daughter participates in ESOMA’s art class. YES! They also offer art classes. Mildred is great! She teaches the art class and I am amazed at the art I see when I pick them up. My daughter won her yearbook contest cover 2 years ago and I credit their art class in helping her with how her talent has improved. Overall, this place is amazing! Staff are very helpful, friendly, and professional. Place is well kept and clean. Location is in the middle of Evergreen and tuition rates are reasonable. Once you become a part of ESOMA, you become a part of a family. All the parents contribute to help put on the recitals and music shows and that’s what makes this place a success!

I would highly recommend ESOMA. My 4 grand daughters attend this school, and there’s so much variety for their different interest. Art, music, dancing all in one location, so I can bring them together… They enjoy participating in the awesome shows that Esoma puts together. It doesn’t get any better than this… A school dedicating in enhancing and improving children’s talent and keeps them interested. The staff are very friendly and professional and the price is decent. location is great. Instructors are so great with the kids and really builds bonds and provide tremendous support.

My first impression: its clean, feel at home, the rooms are well equipped and organized. From the owner to all staffs, they all are nice and professional. They concentrate and already have a customized lesson plans for you. The price is reasonable and the teaching is above and beyond. All I can say and suggest, always ASK. Never hesitate to ask or suggest, be open-​minded, accept criticism and lastly, ENJOY and have FUN at ESOMA!

This review is written after my daughters first show with Norcal/​Esoma.
My daughter became interested in performing in a play when a friend of hers decided on doing it. My daughter had little experience on the stage. Mostly school talent shows and a 2^nd grade play. So, this was her very first big production. From the start. The company keeps everyone that auditions. So, they have parts for all skill levels. The process is organized and up front. Including a parent meeting to get informed about whats ahead & what they expect of parents.
When my daughters part was given. I believe the director knew what she was doing. My daughter was bummed about being ensemble (extra), but like I said it’s her first time. She warmed up to the idea and learned what it really takes to put on a production.
I would recommend it, I was recommend by another parent. We are looking forward to doing the next show.

Worse piano school in San Jose. We moved our kids out of the school and their piano skills grew leaps and bounds. The teachers were going through the motions. Even though my child would make a mistake, they would just say good job and move on to the next piece.
Don’t waste your money.

Attending this school for a little more than 7 years now, I think its time I write an appropriate, reasonable review for this amazing school (unlike Preeti A. who hasnt had enough experience in this school as I have). I’ve been actively involved in this school for more than 7 years; participating in violin, piano, vocal lessons, and in all their musical productions of Mulan Jr., Aladdin Jr., High School Musical, and Hairspray. I can tell you from all of the activities that I’ve been involved in, I can say that all the instructors are knowledgeable of their profession and are amazing at what they teach. With many encounters with staff, I will say the staff is very helpful. Being involved in this school has made me grow as a musician as well as an actress. I can now play advanced classical pieces as well as sightread modern pieces. I am sure when I have children, that they will attend this school and have the same experience I did. All the teachers I’ve had at ESOMA here have helped me discover my love for music and one day minor in music in college. I’ve never had a bad experience with anyone here. I’ve made so many friends here, and this school has always made me feel at home.

It’s unfair for Preeti to rate this school a 1, just because of the Friday parties in the past. If she appreciated her son’s piano teacher, it should amount to a score more than a 1.
I’ve been taking piano lessons with Peter, who is gentle and non-​intimidating, yet so knowledgeable. The staff is friendly and I particularly enjoy the camaraderie. More power to Evergreen Studio!!!

I have been with ESOMA for about 5 years now starting out with theatre, but now I take voice, piano, and dance lessons here as well.
I LOVE doing musicals here. It is a great experience and I really discovered my passion for performing here. I definitely feel like I’ve grown as an actress and performer from participating in 6 musicals here. I also participated in choir during the summer for 3 years, and Francis Salamanca is THE BEST choir teacher there is! I don’t know anyone more talented than him! We do mash ups of modern songs and perform each summer at different gigs. It’s really fun. I take voice with Tracy Cruz who is sweet and really inspires you to try different things! I’ve been singing since I was 7 but Tracy is really good at pushing her students to strive for their goals. I also take hip hop with Argie who has amazing choreography and is really nice as well. His choreo really pushes me to try hard and it is also a good workout. Lastly I take piano with Peter who is a great teacher. He is kind and teaches me so much in one lesson!
The staff here is incredibly nice and I feel like I am with my family whenever I’m here. The atmosphere is definitely positive and uplifting. I’ve also made my closest group of friends here and we are all still very close even 5 years later! I have had countless amazing memories here and honestly spend so much of my time here! I love ESOMA!
