Awesome soy Mexican Mochas. Can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu. The location is awesome too.

Denise, the owner, is so friendly, always greets you with a smile and makes sure you are taken care of! It’s also great to see that her whole family helps at the shop giving it a true family small business feel. Breakfast sandwiches are delicious, bagels are always fresh, coffee is yummy and they are always offering new snacks like warm paninis or fresh unique baked goods! Denise and her family have made this the heart of the Village Square and a must go place!

Sort of grumpy man behind the counter has something very lovable about him. The coffee is always amazing, and if you haven’t tried it, the sandwiches are also great. You can taste the good quality ingredients. :)

Cute little shop, great croissant and the after dark is strong!

Been here a few times to study and I like how quiet it always is here. It’s cozy and small, but they utilize their space very well. There’s a TV at one end of the coffee shop with couch seating. There’s also lots of outdoor seating too, perfect for that nice weather.
The drinks here are good. I got a breakfast croissant one time and the croissant was soooo light and perfectly toasted. The two downsides for me about this place are that they close early and the menu is a bit pricey.
I never knew this Plaza in evergreen existed. I love it!

In dire need of coffee and Unilocal pulled up this gem. I ended up trying their Mexican Mocha and blueberry cream cheese croissant. Both were extremely delicious. The Mexican mocha is something I’ve never tried before and I’m glad I did. Tastes just like Mexican hot chocolate but with coffee! Has great cinnamon, chocolate and spices flavor to it. I think I’ll be back to try their bagels thay everyone gushes about.

Stopped by to get quick breakfast. The place looked quaint, a cute little coffee shop with a mini living room complete with couches and a television! First off, the guy at the cash register was not really friendly-​looking, did not greet me when I walked up, and was difficult to hear/​understand when he asked me questions regarding my order. The scone I ordered was fine, as well as my drink, but nothing too special that I would come out of my way for.

I have been coming to the area for over a year and just found this local gem! The staff is friendly and engaging which pairs perfectly with the coffee!

Most of my out of town friends that I’ve introduced to this place end up LOVING it too and travel just to come back.

Delicious Bagel Sandwiches, tasty smoothies,
But most importantly Friendly man who greets you, he is the owner I believe.
I live down the street, and I would always see this place packed. So it caught my attention.
For a quick brunch, or nice coffee come here!
It is located on the corner, nice plaza location, parking is on the street, or where walmart is located.
Nice, quiet, café.

Review #150 for my most slept-​on, under-​the-​radar coffee shop I’ve (n)ever been to until now. I probably would’ve said I had a good finger on the pulse of this area if you asked though.
Reading reviews on this page it looks like ECC opened its doors back in 2010, but I could’ve sworn it’s been there since the Dawn of Evergreen Village Square. I’ve mentioned before in my review of the Square that this is a tough area to stay in business. A number of small stores, restaurants, even a frackin’ Quizno’s joint was ran out of the estate for low revenue and high rent prices (I’d assume); so it’s surprising to see something independent like a coffee shop stand on its own.
After a drenching trudge over Hassler Hill, I walked in looking to score a breakfast sandwich and an iced whatever based off their business pictures… TOTALLY did not expect such a confident menu, lively sitting area or round-​the-​corner window views off everyone’s snapshots here. I just wasn’t ready for that kind of impression coming into this place of business. Their menu is «chalk”-full of coffee/​juice/​smoothie options as well as breakfast amenities and pastries in their counter display.
I had the seeded-​bagel sandwich with ham, egg n’ cheese and a Mexican Mocha. Outstanding. My tip says it all: the bagel was toasted the right amount, the Mocha size plentiful for a full day’s worth of caffeine making it all worthwhile to come back a 2^nd, 3^rd … 9, 10, 11^th, however many times it’ll take to crown myself Duke. It can happen too because it’s practically next door and in my Line of Jog late afternoons.
What a «hidden gem» if I say so myself. I usually hate that term being thrown so loosely on here but what the hey, it fits.

This is a wonderful café in probably the most picturesque shopping center of San Jose’s Evergreen area. I enjoyed their Café au Lait, and the Numi tea you get for checking in on Unilocal.They also take Five Stars.

I live I around the evergreen village area so I have seen this place for many years. I never really tried it or stepped foot in here since a few weeks ago. My boyfriend and I have been trying out new coffee spots since we now have an obsession with cofee. I decided on checking this place out since it was only five minutes away from my house. When we arrived it was slow and not many people were inside. I think it’s because we went around 11. The older lady was helping us out and she was very nice. She mentioned if I had the rewards and I said no this is our first time here so she signed me up so that I can start saving. I love rewards and thought it was nice of her to mention because I know some places never mention a rewards system when they have it.
The inside looked very nice and gave it a at home like feel with the couch and tv. My boyfriend said it reminded him of friends and how they have the couch at a coffee shop. We sat down on the ouch and had our coffee while watching general Hospital haha since that was on. I would come back and definitely recommend it to anyone who lives in the area.

This place is definitely homey. If you’re looking for a quiet place to read a book, or do some light work/​studying, this is a good spot! It is also ideal for chats over coffee with family and friends.
I personally wouldn’t recommend it for extreme study or work sessions. It just doesn’t have the right atmosphere for me. As aforementioned, it is very homey.

Venue was so quaint and the iced chai teas were amazing, first time every having that tea iced by the way. The employees were lovely. It happened to be my and a good friend of mines first time in the area so they definitely gave us an overall positive and welcoming experience.
We will definitely be coming back again :)

After not coming in for over 8 months, I stopped in this morning before my nephew’s basketball game. It was a pleasure to see Jordan and Austin who are siblings and children of the owner. Austin remembered exactly who I was for writing a glowing Unilocal review from the previous times I came in. He also recognized my sweatshirt which has one of my favorite Rumi quotes printed in front. I coincidentally wore it the last time I came in. You know that feeling where everyone knows your name? It happened here.
I only wish this place was closer to work so I don’t have to go to the other coffee place that’s on practically every city block. After ordering my 2 soy lattes, I took my first frothy sip of the extra hot goodness. I’m coming back. Not just to see Jordan and Austin tho.

Definitely a nice place to drop by and catch up with an old friend (which is exactly what I did when I came here). The Lox sandwich on a bagel was delicious, and the service was friendly/​personable. (Shoutout to Nick!) They have plenty of indoor/​outdoor seating and plenty of parking. They even have a couch right in front of a TV if you feel like flying solo and just sipping on some coffee.
I’ll definitely come back, the price points were good, the food was delicious, the service was excellent.

This is my new favorite place to grab breakfast before going to work or just to start my day in general. I have been loving the lox bagel with cream cheese, capers, and onions (and more recently, I have asked for cucumbers to be added). They get extra stars in my book because they are extremely friendly and they take the effort to make sure that what they serve is the best.
Use the punchcard and after the 12^th item, you get any item of your choice for free. They will actually give you as many punches as the number of items you purchased. Usually, other places that offer punchcards will only give one punch per transaction, regardless of the number of items you buy. That’s certainly not the case at EV Coffee Co!
Oh, and don’t forget to check in to claim your free small coffee or tea! ;)

Evergreen Coffee is really cramped. there’s. not much room between tables so trend carefully. 10ish tables available for sitdown.
