Fantastic job, all around. Edna was very flexible and able to make time for us with little advance notice. A friendly and respectful team arrived perfectly on time. At our request, they focused on the kitchen and bathroom and did not disappoint. All the little nooks and crannies were spotless.

My claim to fame is not as Suzy Homemaker, I hate cleaning. I hired E & I House Cleaning to come out and do some deep cleaning while we prepare our house to sell. A crew of 2 worked for almost 5 hours straight without a break and did a great job. They did my windows inside and out plus dusted off all of my ceiling fans and living room blinds. My house hasn’t been this clean in a VERY long time. (Did I mention I’m not a great house cleaner?!) I will definitely use them again unless, of course, I’ve scared them off. One of them did say ‘hallelujah’ towards the end. haha

I used E&I to clean my new house before I moved in, and they did an excellent job. The house was kind of dusty from all the contractor work, so it was nice to move into a clean house. I liked them so much, I used them again to clean out my townhouse where I previously lived, to prepare it for rental. That was a much bigger job, having been living in that townhouse for over 20 years straight, and not being a very fastidious cleaner myself. They again did a wonderful job, and the townhouse looks fantastic. We found tenants within just a few days!
I am so happy, I am going to use them to help me clean my current house on a regular basis.

I’m so happy with E&I cleaning. I have no idea the minimum time is 1.5 hours when I made the booking. Since I only needed help only with stove and oven, it turned out to be just an one hour work. But Edna made an exception despite the fact it is probably not worth the trouble to come here just for an one hour job. I’m so modified and even offered tips that the crew didn’t take. I rarely write reviews, but I’m just so happy with Lupe’s work and Edna’s customer service. In the future will definitely use the service again. Highly recommend! A honest business indeed!

I have used E & I Housecleaning for over a year. And they are AMAZING. Edna, who works in the office, is great at answering via email. So responsive. She takes PayPal, which is incredibly convenient. It’s a family business. The «E» is for «Edna,» and the «I» is for her sister, «Iovanna.» They have about 17 employees. They run this business like a tight ship. They charge very reasonable rates. And they are FAST. It’s an honest business – they do what they say they will do. I welcome you to contact me via email to ask further questions. I originally found Edna and E&I cleaners through a Groupon 5 years ago. Our first experience with them was so good I contracted them for one year as an anniversary gift to my wife. At the end of year one, my wife begged to keep them another year. We have since moved twice and with each move our cleaning cost have increased prompting us to look at other cleaning services. We have always come back to E & I Cleaning. Edna’s team has always followed directions and with communication and an extra «very reasonable» fee, they have performed extra work like cleaning the patio furniture or cleaning out the refrigerator and freezer. As we prepare for our next move I went to Unilocal to get an email address and I was surprised at the negative reviews. After reading a few I realize they are for the most part from people who are inexperienced with housecleaning services and seem to have unrealistic expectations. I am not saying that over a 5 year period we have not had a few issues, because we have. No one is perfect. The cleaning has occasionally been rushed and things missed. Edna has always been very responsive and any issues have been quickly resolved. *****Caution*****. .. HIRING E&I CLEANERS MAY LEAD TO A LONG TERM CLEANING RELATIONSHIP IN WHICH YOUR SPOUSE WILL NEVER ALLOW YOU TO CANCEL. Edna and her teams are the best! They have been cleaning our home for the past few years and they do an incredible job! Edna is very personable AND professional. She will do her best to try and accommodate the days and hours you need and is quick to respond if you have a question or have a special request. I have had many house cleaners through the years, and the ladies that clean our home are by far the best! Thanks ladies!!!

Edna and her team are extremely professional. I used the service for 2 years until my remodeling 2 years old. I used them for a 1 time service last month. They were here for about 2 hours. The ladies are nice and friendly. They know exactly what to clean. They did an extremely detailed work. Love them! Highly recommend Edna and her team!!!

I Contacted Edna and she responded quickly. They came out the following week. I was so impressed. My house was clean from the ceiling to the floors. I am scheduling them to come out once a month. I will be referring them to all my friends.

Edna and her gals are amazing! I contacted them through the website and received a response the next day, was booked and scheduled for that following weekend. They were in and out of our condo in less than 1.5 hours, and did an AWESOME job cleaning. They dusted, cleaned, wiped down, and scrubbed every corner of our condo and left is spotless. We didn’t want to get in their way so we moved around while they were cleaning, and they were very polite and sweet, not want to disturb us either. I am truly in awe at the professionalism.
Be flexible with them, she changed our scheduled time twice since other clients cancelled or rescheduled, but she was able to come earlier than expected. I don’t mind at all!

I found them on Unilocal and contacted them to service a move out. Being a super busy working mom help on the move out cleaning was much needed. I contacted them via email and got a response, by Edna, later that night. They were available to come in 2 days based on the window I provided. Unfortunately I missed the email and replied back of they could still make that time slot. They weren’t but able to squeeze me in later the week which was great, still within my requested window. They responded timely and responsive thru email. They sent two employees over, they showed ip on time and did a great job. After done they walked me thru at what they did which was great as well! My landlord had no complaints about the move out cleaning either!
They were definitely a great Unilocal find!

Edna and crew did an outstanding job! They got the condo ready for staging & selling with a great deep clean. They really put the sweat and elbow grease into their work.
Left a few fridge magnets scattered on the floor (??). This is the only reason for four stars.

NO, NO, y NO!!!
Edna and her team (s) cleaned my 5-​year old condo on Comm Hill for about a year, and in that time her cleaners damaged one of my bathroom mirrors, put HUGE nick my faucet handle in the kitchen, put DEEP scratches in my stainless steel kitchen sinks (I swear, what could they have possibly used to do this???), they replaced a rubber-​backed floor mat on my laminate kitchen floor while it was still wet! (miracle I caught it before it mildewed!), and numerous other issues that add up to quite a bit of damage. Yes, I said DAMAGE.
Be careful which email address you give to Edna; her Yahoo! email is FULL of viruses and bugs — I got spammed horribly a week after I accepted her first appointment invitation (in a completely CLEAN mailbox!!!) and she demonstrated no understanding of how much damage it can do to a laptop!
One time they showed up and their old vacuum cleaner BROKE when they turned it on, so my carpets didn’t get vacuumed. The next time I deducted from the fee and suggested they go back to Edna and explain why. Not sure if they understood me.
If you do hire them, WATCH after the FIRST cleaning for things like this. They’re good in the beginning and go downhill very quickly. Half the time they were late (Edna cannot schedule effectively to save her life!).
Oh, and unless you speak Spanish, you’ll be unable to communicate with them. They didn’t understand when I pointed out that if they disturb THAT plug, they’ll disconnect my modem!!! The team lead never explains to new /​different people what to do and not to do, I had to put stickers that said NO on anything they needed to stay away from.
When I called her after my last appointment and told her I needed to speak to her before the next cleaning (I wanted to show her the damage on the mirror) she said she was going out of town and would call me when she got back, which, of course, she never did and she has made no contact since then. I think she knew I was SERIOUS and not to try to argue with me as she does with everyone else.

Based on the date of some of these posts, looks like she dropped me when I was about to confront her and picked up some clients who are as impressed as I was in the beginning.
Save yourself some time and trouble: DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE INTO YOUR HOME.

Like Unilocaler’s, «Jennifer F.» and «Snigdha S.», my fiancée and I had a similar disappointing experience. My fiancée left clear instructions twice for the 3 person cleaning crew. Once when they arrived at our home at 3PM, and again when my fiancée left to run errands at 4:30.
The reason we requested E & I is my 1 year old daughter’s birthday party is tomorrow, and we are hosting guests in our front living room. The clear instructions were to clean the front living room and floor before the crew finished their job. That was the primary requirement. In addition to the simple task of cleaning the front living room and floor, we asked they focus on the kitchen, master bedroom and bath, and 3 bathrooms.
At 5PM a 4^th person arrived, Edna, the owner. She asked me what areas my fiancée wanted cleaned. Right there I should have asked her and the 3 other (very slow) cleaners to leave, because she simply admitted she didn’t know what needed to be cleaned and what our instructions were.
They cleaned the master bedroom and bath, the 3 bathrooms, and «most» of the kitchen, but only quickly vacuumed and wiped the kitchen floor. The only thing they did not clean, was the front living room and floor where we planned to host our daughters birthday party the following day. NOTHING was touched in that room, we had even picked up prior to their arrival to make sure our personal belongings were out of the way.
We paid $ 360 for 9 «man hours» of time, that’s 3 people from 3PM-​6PM. The instructions were not followed, and on top of that we immediately called Edna, the owner, to ask her why the room and the kitchen floor was sticky, and still dirty (see photo). First my fiancée spoke to her and got no where, and then I spoke to her. All in all, the call lasted 36 minutes. She kept saying «we didn’t have enough time», «the house was in bad shape», «that’s not what your fiancée told my people», «we rushed the kitchen floor, because there was not enough time» — it was a broken record over and over again.
We told her we were not satisfied, we clearly explained the instructions were not followed, as it was clear her staff couldn’t communicate with each other nor her, the owner, about what the client, my fiancée, had asked for.
We asked for her to fix the problem, she said she could «only finish the kitchen floor» if she returned, which clearly means she still does not understand that the VERY FIRST item requested was for the living room to be cleaned, and that the living room comes before any other room in the house. If you come to fix anything, how about vacuum the living room floor?
The fact that the call lasted 20 minutes is obvious I wasted my time, since I argued with her and played her excuse game over and over again, and that she talked to a client for 20 minutes in the time it would have taken her to at least vacuum our living room floor, and likely at least finish the kitchen floor, instead she chose to not honor her service minutes after she and her crew left our house in favor of arguing with a client whom she wanted to do even more business with. Yes, she left an estimate for $ 225/​bi-​weekly cleaning. We’ll happily take our business elsewhere.
E & I Refund policy: «…cannot offer refunds. However, we want you to be 100% satisfied with E & I House Cleaning. Please see our 24-​hour guarantee if you are dissatisfied with your cleaning.» — I’m cool with no refunds, but what is hilarious is we told her we obviously were dissatisfied and so the «100% satisfaction» is a JOKE! Not sure what the «24-​hour guarantee» is since it is not listed on their website, nor their contract?
It’s 8PM the evening before my daughters first birthday, and I’m doing the job my family hired Edna, and her crew from E & I House Cleaning to do in the first place.
HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK — if you don’t care about detail, and don’t need instructions followed or get what you asked for, then take a chance with them.
E & I House Cleaning has been around since 2008, but the owner and operation comes across as amateur and unprofessional.
1-​star rating: for not following basic instructions, for not finishing basic cleaning (the floor), for miscommunication between the crew and owner, for arguing with the customer, for not rectifying the problem despite «100% satisfaction» and «24-​hour guarantee».

So I had rented my home for 2 years to bunch of bachelors. I was expecting poor maintenance on the home front, but when I came back to see the house after 2 years I could not believe how dirty the house was especially the bathrooms. Called Edna. Boy am I glad I did. My bathrooms look like they have never been used before (yes I am exaggerating a bit, but trust me not by much). They cleaned out the kitchen, closets and everything in between very thoroughly. She didn’t clean out some areas which were extremely tedious with no return on investment and she was very clear about it (e.g., windows from outside since it was going to rain, the individual grooves on the closet shelve where clothes would never touch). I am already planning on using her again and would definitely recommend her.
She is very punctual, professional and easy to deal with.

I was very disappointed with this cleaning service. I asked to have a deep cleaning of 4 rooms and my utility/​laundry room. I have a TINY house in Willow Glen and specifically asked that my woodwork– which we disclosed we had lots of– be cleaned. They quoted a price and when I came home, they had left parts of the work undone such as leaving the wooden blinds above the kitchen sink partially wiped (first three blades) on one side only– the other side wasn’t even touched; cleaned the woodwork on dining room side of doorway but not the kitchen side; left a full set of shelves covered with dust and flour and the lower shelving in the kitchen was untouched completely!
When I complained and asked for a fix– I was told that they «quoted» 3 hours and 3 people and what I got in the three hours was it. LOUSY quoting! I didn’t ask them to clean an unquoted room– I asked them to wipe ALL of the blinds in a kitchen window and do the job I asked for.
I will not use this service again!!!

First cleaning day was today and they were on time, in, and out as promised! The place looked great!
I already had a feeling that I was going to like E & I housecleaning, based solely on how organized the owner was for our initial meeting. Her attention to detail and service was far beyond my expectations, based on my last housekeeper.
The origination of my skepticism: My last housekeeper (whom I fired after she complained about one too many things) had a problem with bending too much, dusting pictures, wiping walls, reaching high things, cleaning high ceilings, vacuuming rooms, parking downtown, and so many other things that wound up being major inconveniences to me (I would give her my parking spot on cleaning days, etc). I put up with so much crap from her, I guess I was expecting at least some of the same from the next company.
None of those issues arose with E&I! So far, the experience has been stress-​free, seamless, and outstanding.
During our first meeting, Edna even told me that I could leave dirty dishes in the sink (not that I would), leave the bed unmade, and that she wasn’t worried about parking! I think my jaw may have hit the floor.
Although E & I is more expensive, they are WELL worth it. I still can’t find anything in my home that I’m not happy with for this initial cleaning, and I’m as critical as they come as a customer. That is well worth a few extra bucks per month! Thank you, Edna! Even though it sounded too good to be true, you still under-​promised and over-​delivered! A+ customer service!

Edna and her crew do an excellent job at cleaning my home. I used to have E&I clean my one bedroom apartment in Santa Clara. They were always friendly and did a great job and getting my home clean.
Recently, I needed a two bedroom condo I was living in to be cleaned. I had a problem with the people who were scheduled and had to send them home on the spot. That left me in a situation where I had to find someone fast. I remembered Edna and what a great job she had done on my apartment. I knew her company had become very busy. I took a chance and gave her a call. Luckily they had a cancellation that day and were able to fit me. Edna and four of her employees came over and did a move-​out cleaning on a 1200 sq foot condo in two hours. They did an AWESOME job! Even the property manager was impressed as how clean the home was when we did our walk through.

I thankfully have found E & I a few months of ago and have been using them consistently ever since each month. I honestly think they have been getting better with their job and I’m impressed they find little details that I notice that need cleaning and they take care of it.
She is very communicative and if she needs to reschedule, or if I need to, it makes the whole process very easy. I have a cat that tend to shed and the make the place feel like no pet lives there. I always feel the need to have people over after I have a cleaning done by them because I feel so proud of how it looks :)

A friend recommended E&I cleaning to me. I contacted Edna, who came over and did and estimate. She was very prompt, communicated very well and was very professional.
I signed up for every other week cleaning. Two weeks ago the girls came and cleaned our house, they had did everything I had specified to Edna about, even cleaned the windowsills! They moved things around and dusted and didn’t just dust around items! I have to say after going through 3 other house cleaners, this was a job well done! Everything was clean and spotless! I was so excited and happy!
Pricing is reasonable and fair compared to my experience with previous cleaners
They just came again yesterday and they were consistent with the first time and again everything I wanted was done, cleaned and it is one of the most amazing things to come home to a well cleaned house!
