After I met with my wedding couple I highly recommended that they have a planner for their big day. As a wedding and event photographer I know how much smoother a day will go if there is a good planner. I cannot tell you how glad I am they found Katherine Noller-​Fernandez of Custom Celebrations!!!
Months before the wedding I knew Katherine was the right woman for the job. She was so kind and cordial yet incredibly thorough and organized. I mean, let’s be honest, she was now the captain of this ship.

When my daughter first suggested that we get a wedding planner for her wedding, my response was «What for?» Then we met Katherine… From our first meeting, we knew we needed her. She is incredibly organized, knowledgeable and professional. She never ceased to amaze us with her advice and suggestions. But the real test was the day of the wedding – and she passed with flying colors!!! We had a few «incidents» that she handled seamlessly with no attention drawn to embarrass anybody. We literally worried about nothing because she was on it! She made my daughter’s wedding the Perfect Day!!! I worked with Katherine at a wedding in September 2011. Katherine assisted me to making sure the photographers were where they needed to be through out the night, the catering staff was on time with each course of the meal and that the bride and groom could enjoy their wedding day worry free. As a DJ I would hire Katherine to plan my next big event or wedding!

Katherine of Custom Celebrations was our wedding coordinator for our 9.24.11 wedding, and I highly recommend her. My husband and I both feel that she was the best vendor because of how much she did and how smoothly everything went. So many of our guests talked about how it was the most organized wedding they had ever been to, and that is all thanks to Katherine. She is very organized and detail oriented. She helped keep us on track throughout the entire wedding planning process. She reminded us of details that we wouldn’t have thought of and had so many great ideas for making our wedding unique to who we are.
I truly felt that I was Katherine’s only bride because she always responded to my e-​mails or phone calls very promptly. I had a lot of questions and sent her a lot of e-​mails, and there was never a time that I had to wait very long for a response.
Katherine is great at working with all vendors. She established a good rapport with all of our vendors and was very good about updating them on the wedding details. She also saved us a lot of money and stress by referring us to vendors that provide quality service at a reasonable price. Her florist and linen recommendations were fantastic.
Even after our wedding, she continued to provide excellent service and support. I sought her advice on a post-​wedding issue with a vendor (not one of her recommendations), and she was happy to help.
My husband and I interviewed a lot of wedding coordinators and Katherine was by far the best. One of the best decisions you will make for yourself and your wedding is choosing Katherine!

We LOVE Katherine! The thesaurus doesn’t have enough wonderful words to describe how much she’s helped us with our wedding. Without her, our day would not have ran as smooth and amazing as it did.
She was always there to calm us when unexpected stress was hurled our way. She was always there to make sure we were on track with planning. She was always there to shield us from crazy rabid grizzly attacks. I certainly didn’t realize (at the time) that there were so many things involved with planning a wedding that could go awry.
One thing I definitely need to mention is that she made sure that we were well hydrated and nourished! She made sure we ate at the reception. Most couples we knew that got married always said that they never got to enjoy any of their food. We certainly got the opportunity not only to eat, but to savor our food, with peace of mind that Katherine was taking care of all the loose ends.
She also managed to keep us within our budget without sacrificing quality. There were many vendors that she had worked with before that she was able to recommend (and at a budget friendly rate as well!). There were so many things that she did above and beyond our expectations, we would VERY HIGHLY recommend her to anyone even thinking about getting a wedding coordinator, even if it’s just for the day of!
We had a wedding of around 300 crazy guests, two mothers who wanted certain things done their way, and a bride and groom with a million different ideas which Katherine miraculously pulled into one of the most well organized and beautiful weddings that we still can’t believe was actually our wedding. Katherine is definitely a world class coordinator!

I came to Custom Celebrations 6 weeks before my wedding in a bit of a panic. I had done a lot of planning and secured several vendors, but our staffing company had just quit.
Katherine heard me out and was complimentary. She offerred suggestions without pushing her ideas of what she thought my wedding should be. I hired her on the spot.
She was gracious, motivated, ultra-​organized, and perhaps the most dedicated person I have ever met or worked with. She consistantly went above and beyond, not only in the planning and execution of our wedding, but even after our wedding was over, following up with vendors and ensuring our deposits were refunded.
I give Katherine my highest recommendation. Whether you are a planning an elaborate, expensive affair or a more cost-​effective soirée, something casual, elegant, big or small, I am confidant she is the person to hire for the job. The attention and level of detail she brings to the table are worth their weight in gold. As my now-​husband has said multiple times, hiring Katherine was the best money we spent.

I decided to hire a wedding coordinator when the stress of working full time and planning a wedding was taking it’s toll! I had seen photos of a wedding designed by Custom Celebrations featured in The Knot so I contacted Katherine Noller-​Fernandez. She was so friendly and professional on the phone and was even more so when I had my first meeting with her. I had already secured most of my vendors but needed help with some details and day-​of coordination. Katherine was SO organized and on top of everything… constantly following up and providing me with updates. Her calm demeanor really helped me reduce my stress! I knew she was managing other weddings at the same time but she made me feel like I was her one and only bride and our wedding was going to be fabulous. Her coordination on the day of the wedding was impeccable. She had developed a timeline for the day and made sure our vendors, wedding party and family members stuck to the schedule. When my husband and I walked into the reception room before anyone else, we were blown away by how beautiful it was… it took our breath away. Her attention to detail and unique talent really exceeded our expectations. Towards the end of the night as guests were starting to leave, she made sure all of our belongings and gifts were brought to our hotel room. If there were any hiccups throughout the day, I did not know about them! She took care of everything and I was extremely confident that everything would go smoothly. As a result, my husband and I had a stress free and beautiful wedding. I highly recommend Katherine and Custom Celebrations! I hope to use her for any party planning in the future!

After my initial meeting with Katherine — I knew working with her and Custom Celebrations was exactly what I was looking for! Having worked in events, I was determined to direct the creative vision of our wedding… but with work and the stress of planning a wedding from distance, how was I going to stay on task, remember due dates, and remain a relatively calm bride to be?! Well the answer is the very well organized, diplomatic (and when needed sympathetic), Katherine Noller-​Fernandez.
While planning our Monterey/​Carmel Valley wedding from Newport Beach, there was always an email reminder or phone call keep me on task. Whenever I was worried we weren’t far enough along in our planning she would let me know I was doing just fine. She works well with all of the vendors, and when difficulties arise is very diplomatic.
I have read the reviews for Custom Celebrations — and I had no idea Katherine had so many clients! This is actually a huge testament to her, however, because I honestly felt like I was her only bride. Now, I am not saying this because I was living in the bridal state known as «It’s all about me», but because she truly makes you feel like you’re her only client. Phone calls were returned right away and she always makes time for you when she meets with you. She has several package options ranging from Full Service to Day Of, depending on what you are looking for. Working with her is a pleasure!

Five stars for Custom Celebrations! We met at the wedding of a friend of ours, where my husband was the DJ and Katherine the event planner. That day happened to be a hot one, and we noticed right away that Katherine kept her cool throughout the entire day — setup and cleanup of the party. As we were among the last to leave at midnight
(with the DJ equipment), I noticed Katherine on top of a very tall ladder, removing candles from window sills. All this on a very hot day, with quiet cheer, efficiency, and grace.
So we called Katherine right away when it came time for our own daughter’s wedding. Katherine was perfectly attentive to every detail, small or large, for our wedding and reception in July. With her characteristic poise and quiet efficiency, she handled everything, and kept things sailing along smoothly. At the wedding itself, she took
over every detail so we could relax and enjoy the day.
Whether you want your entire event planned or just parts of it, she will accommodate your wishes, with good practical advice and recommendations. You will not be disappointed!

Its safe to say that we could not have gotten everything together for our big day without the help of Katherine and Custom Celebrations.
From the moment we started working with her, she helped keep us organized and on top of all the things that we need to take care of on our end. The things that she could run with, she did on her own accord and made our lives so much easier in the grand scheme of planning. She helped reduce a lot of stress that was being piled on top of our shoulders by all the crazy unpredictable wedding variables that seem to be a part of every wedding.
Katherine combines all the necessary traits for a great wedding planner as she’s sweet, easy to work with, thoughtful, organized, proactive and stern when an if the situation calls for it. Katherine with Custom Celebrations is SO fantastic at what she does, she makes it stress free and easy to plan your big day. She not only helped us plan our wedding, but kept us on budget, worked with all our vendors, prepared a timeline for vendor coordination and handled all the details of our wedding day. On the wedding day I knew that I didn’t have to worry about a thing, our wedding was amazing! I can’t say enough about Katherine’s professionalism and ability to take our wedding vision and make it happen. I would recommend Katherine and Custom Celebrations to my family and friends. As you brides can attest, planning a wedding is highly stressful and can certainly bear its toll. We enlisted the help of Katherine of Custom Celebrations to help us with the «day-​of» details, but she did so much more. As soon as she became our coordinator (about 2 months before the wedding), she was communicating with us, the vendors, and especially our site coordinator. She always conveyed any information to us and confirmed that we (us, Katherine, the vendors) were all on board. She helped us negotiate some deals and even went with us to pick out the reception rentals! Katherine not only is very good at what she does, she made us feel comfortable and had our best interest in mind. On the day of, we had a few little quirks, one being that our ceremony was outside with crazy gusts of wind, but Katherine was always cool, collected, and there to ensure that things went smoothly. She continued to be our biggest supporter and voicebox up till the last guest left.
There are so many details during the planning process and during the wedding day that having a coordinator is definitely worth it. We highly recommend Katherine for her expertise, professionalism, organization, excellent communication, and very importantly, for being a really nice and easy person to work with. We absolutely LOVED working with Custom Celebrations during the planning of our wedding. We live in Orange County but our wedding was in the Bay Area so we needed someone local to help with all the details… we decided on Custom Celebrations to help us during this process.
We wanted someone who would give us the flexibility to plan our vision of what we wanted our wedding to be, yet be there to orchestrate all the details on the «Day Of…»
