Branham Self Storage

I have been using Branham storage for more than 15 years. I use it primarily for storing business files and records as required by my real estate license. I have been on the 3^rd floor, utilizing the cargo elevator to move files each year. I eventually moved to level 2, only because the unit was closer to the elevator and not further down the hall. I am still currently on level 2. I have never had an issue with lights, elevators, access or cleanliness. I am very impressed with all the new improvements they have made, including the extra lighting, paint and general cleaning. I expect storage facilities to be just that — storage facilities. This one has always more than adequately met my needs and continues to do so with new management and the improvements. Although they do raise rents from time to time, I don’t find the raises unusually high or out of line with the market. I will probably continue to use Branham Storage for my office storage needs as long as I have the office.

Been using this place for a little over a year now and was really happy with the location. It was close to my apartment and made life easier for me to go back and forth to grab last minute items.
Pro’s — Location is great, facility is clean, John and (weekend gal, sorry forgot her name) are friendly. John is very honest and direct, so don’t take that personally people! He’s always up for a good chat and is a pretty mellow guy.
Con — Hours MUST change in my opinion! Opening at 10am is not efficient and closing at 6 sometimes does not allow for some of us who work during the day to get to our locker in time. I would recommend 9am — 7pm.
Con — the damn elevator! LOL It works fine when the button for the second floor actually syncs! I’ve sat there and had to push Floor #2 for about 3 minutes (perhaps hit the button 100 times?) in order for it to work. I would strongly advise to get that part fixed first out of anything.
Otherwise, the place is just fine and has kind of a «homely» feel to it. Also, they have had some good locations available and options for sizing. But please take my cons into consideration.
PS. we just up’d our size of our storage unit, so that should hopefully say something about the place! ;) We will be staying there until we buy our house in a year or so.

I’ve had a decent experience in the last three years I’ve used Branham storage but be warned they love to increase your rent every year the maximum the law will allow. When I first got there in summer 2012 the hallway lights were missing knobs and it’s impossible to turn them on. Problem was finally solved but it took a while. There have been several people in and out of the front desk so that is a bit concerning but the current staff had been friendly and helpful. Hope they stick around. If it wasn’t a huge hassle to relocate a 10×10 storage unit I would leave based on the rent increases. If I see another one next summer I will leave. I’m not getting any extra services so why charge more? Just wish they had later evening hours. Some of us work during the day.

I ignored the managers racist comments and figured he’s just old and ignorant. Then he starts trying to say stuff like «don’t annoy me or I’ll give you notice»? Then one day I walked in there and I was singing to myself (not even loud and not in front of him) .I did it as I was walking up the stairs on the way to my storage.. When I came down he told me“people who sing annoy me and I give them notice, and if you don’t like it you can move out” I was like what??? Who the hell does this Archie Bunker think he is??? I told him «i hope your just joking but if not you can screw yourself and go ahead and give me the stinking notice I don’t need this crap «he didn’t but I’m out a here… what an asshole!!! By the way jerkboys name is John

Year go this please was mess and horrible. This place was awful but after manager change oh my good new manager john clean the storage. Change all locks and secure. Hes nice and very professional. Love this place now clean and secure. Thanks to john for awesome job

This place has the same vibe as a Halloween corn maze, you never know what crazy character is going to be in there. These people are a bunch of inbred a-​holes. Any time I have questions they are condescending and rude. Whenever I go, there is a new carnie looking receptionist too busy to pause their computer game to help. I had my dog in the car and some lady with no teeth kept trying to lean into the window to pet her. My poor dog was terrified. Not to mention she had a cigarette hanging from her mouth and blew all the smoke into my car. I never feel safe coming to this place and will no longer be using their services.

This is a review for my experience back in 2012, which is why I’m putting two stars instead of one, JUST in case they’ve improved.
I got a unit for a year with a deal they had on their website. The units are located inside a very dark, unsafe feeling building. I always thought it was pretty unsafe, especially since more then a few times I was able to just go in to the building without having to sign in, since there wasn’t anyone up front at the desk (or they weren’t paying any attention at all, instead just staring at the computer screen).
Towards the end of my year, I had noticed a LOT of rat droppings, so much so that I tossed some things (pillows and such), for fear of how else they could have been contaminated.
We had to get all of our things out by a certain date if we weren’t renewing, but a few days before this date a situation came out where we couldn’t get everything out by the date. We asked if we could pay a day by day rate instead of paying a late fee and for a new month, since it would only be two more days. We spoke to a woman, who then called the head manager (who was a fairly overweight woman with a breathing problem; I assumed the girl at the office was her daughter), and was told that this was fine.
We came to get all of our things and close out our account. There was a young kid working that time, someone who very clearly looked liked he hated his job, and we told him what the manager told us. He told us that this wasn’t allowed, and after a bit of arguing, we asked him to call the manager to confirm. Clearly annoyed, he called her and then told us she would be at the building within 10 – 15 minutes.
A half hour later, she shows up and immediately begins to throw a fit. She continues to deny the agreement we made, saying we misunderstood, even though we spoke to both her AND her daughter (who came with her). She told us, while swearing and huffing, that we were wrong and that was that. We told her that since there was a miscommunication, it’s not our faults and we should get some sort of discount, since if we had known we would be charged a whole months rent for two days we would’ve found some way to move all our things sooner. She refused, now yelling at us and swearing some more.
We eventually paid NOT the price we were quoted, but the price they told us at the last second, and made snide and rude comments as we left.
The building alone was unsafe, unwatched, and horribly unclean, but it was this service at the end that completely ruined it.
Again, I see higher reviews then mine (although I’m almost convinced that they delete bad reviews/​have people leave them positive reviews in exchange for a discount) so they might have improved, but based on my experience, I would never, ever go back.

This place sucks! it has some nasty cigarette smoking junkies that never shower running the place.(the only reason the smoke smell has stopped is because the nasty woman who works there is on oxygen now! Its always so dark and who knows who might jump out from behind a wall at you. I never felt safe walking in there alone. It needs some paint inside to make it easer on the eyes. Whoever the owner is only cares about the money and not much of the building. It had mice at one time, may still have them. Most of my things I had to get rid of when I took my stuff out of this place. MOST IF NOT ALL PEOPLE POSTING «GOOD» REVIEWS GET 50 DOLLARS OFF OF THIER STORAGE. Just an FYI

I’m very pleased with the service and value a Branham Self Storage. Richard checked me in and he was quite pleasant and helpful. He took time to show me several units even though it was almost closing time. Prices are excellent and there is a wide range of sizes/​prices to choose from. Parking is far better than the ubiquitus orange and white corporate facilities all around the Branham area. I was also pleasantly suprised when I saw the bill and there were indeed no aditonal fees! I would give a 5^th star if the front elevator went to the 3^rd floor. All in all a great deal. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I was worried this place would be a dump after reading the reviews but it looks like they cleaned things up now under the new management company. The rates were good since they had the special going on and it was lower than what I found advertised in the area. I used them for only a short period of time but I felt that my stuff was safe there and would use them again.

I’m a pack rat. I keep everything and hate to throw things away. Since I didn’t want to be profiled on «Hoarders» and I don’t live in a mansion with endless space, I looked into storage units. I’m all about value (i.e. cheapest price) so I called a few places and found this place to have the best price. With their 6 months free special (check website), I couldn’t find a better price. I was a bit concerned about some of the older reviews, but due to the price I gave it a look. While it’s no Bellagio it certainly is sufficient for leaving my stuff into storage. I don’t plan on coming in and out a lot, but from my «move in» experience, I didn’t have any issues.

I have been here of about 8 months. The rates are super low but the place is really a pit and so dirty, and it smells like cigarette smoke. I am writing this because today is the 2^nd time I have gone there to get something I needed and they are not there during business hours. I called Friday to double check what time they open on Sunday and they said 9 – 5. Well I was there at 9:20 and again at 9:50 and no one was there. I have been calling all morning and still no answer. I have all of my ski stuff stored there and am leaving at 5am tomorrow and am screwed if they don’t open today!

We used this storage facility for 6 months while we were moving. The people there were extremely helpful with getting us a space downstairs and close to the door. When we realized we needed a second room, the were able to get us one just two spaces down from our first one within a couple days. The price is excellent, much less than Public Storage. The people working there were always very friendly when we went in, some were a little odd, but always friendly. I would certainly use them again if I needed a storage facility. I admit, it’s not as professional or clean as Public Storage, but it served us very well and the price was right.

We’ve been customers for a long time and can’t wait to get out. This place is filthy and constantly cluttered with garbage from tenants, and the employees. When you walk into the lobby, there is junk all over the place, and the dark hallways are no different. My wife feels unsafe going there alone because there are always homeless people milling around in the hallways. Go to Public Storage instead.
