Just wanna thank Juan for doing our wood laminate, can’t even begin to explain how great of a job he did to our house, very detailed, meticulous and really cares and loves his job. If you guys are looking for a very experienced and affordable wood laminate contractor, he is the ONE! Juan was the greatest. He worked with us, explaining every step in detail. Helped move large furniture, also. We feel he was the most economical way to go as he only charges for instillation. He does help us with selecting what and where to order the materials which we do independently. He was very punctual, did exactly what he said he would do and on time. I also like to deal with the independent self employed, figuring they need the business most.

Juan is a very thorough and professional flooring installer. We saw his work at my best friend’s place and immediately decided to call him on for laminate installation at our place. He came to my home and took a very detailed set of measurements and sent me a copy of the plan. He also made several useful suggestions about what quality of flooring to buy and came to 3 different stores including the final one where we bought. He drove his truck all the way to Monterey area store where we could find enough boxes of the laminate flooring needed for the job. As per the plan he gave to us, he said he will take 5 days to complete the entire job, but he finished it in 4 and a half days and that too with one room where he had to repeat the job twice due to some water damage. He also helped me move heavier things and appliances around the home. He had a liking for getting his job done perfectly and in the most efficient manner and it showed in every step of the job. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with his work and timeliness and sticking to plan finance and time wise.

Juan is very professional, punctual, has a great knowledge of hardwood and laminate, pays attention to detail and very nice to work with.
He helped me with the right choice of the laminate, picked it up from the store, installed it in a timely manner.

Juan is an engineer, and that shows in the way he approached my flooring needs. His initial estimate was super detailed, with accurate dimensions and he calculated the square footage of laminate he would be laying down to decimal points. He made great suggestions on the laminate choices, and helped me pick it up at the store.
The work that Juan and his team did was meticulous, and he did not cut any corners in making our floor look beautiful. He was very punctual, helped with the furniture, and cleaned up each day after he was done. His attention to detail alone is worth much more than what he charged for the job. He not only got the hob done, but also advised me on caring for the new floor.
A couple of things stand out for me when I recommend Juan
1.Juan advised me against laying down laminate in the bathroom, and suggested a vinyl that matched the rest of my floor. Best piece of advice.
2. Juan alerted me to a coupon for the laminate … after w had already bought it. And I was able to make use of the coupon to get a refund on the difference.
There are a lot more such instances that I can write here, but anybody that can get on Juan’s busy schedule should consider their floor in great hands. I highly recommend Juan and will definitely call on him in the future.

Just got laminate floors installed in 3 rooms and a hallway from Juan. He not only helped me choose the right laminate, accompanied me to the laminate store and offered to pick up the laminate for me.
Juan did a very thorough and professional job. He was very punctual, reported to work at the time he committed and finished the job on time. He helped me move a few big pieces of furniture around and also worked around a computer table that we could not move out of the room. He answered any questions I had about the work. He maintained a clean work environment and also cleaned up the rooms after he was done.
His rates are very reasonable and he delivers high quality work. I am scheduling him to replace an existing laminate in my master bedroom and highly recommend his work.

Juan was highly professional, very considerate and extremely thorough in his approach to helping us with the flooring for our condo. He did an amazing amount of work putting together an accurate and affordable estimate. Offered to help us collect materials for the project from various suppliers. Answered any questions we had along the way. Was always reachable by phone or email. Gave us very professional advice on the best flooring in our price range. Assisted us in moving a few pieces of furniture and gave us great techniques on moving in our other furniture. Juan arrived at the house on time every day and left by 6pm each evening. He even completed the job a day earlier than intended. I feel so lucky to have found Juan on Unilocal and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a flooring installer.

I had recently bought a town home & had decided to layout laminates for entire home flooring. I was looking for some one who is honest & give me correct information on flooring. I was fortunate enough to find Juan Simg (through a reference from my colleague). Juan first estimated the flooring area, gave me the sketch with the measurements and the basis of cost calculation. He accompanied me to COSTCO while purchasing the laminates and was very careful while laying the laminates. He finished the project in time & within the cost he committed at the beginning of the project. He was flexible enough to work around our schedule on weekends. thanks a lot Juan.

Juan is a very patient guy and a perfectionist as many other reviewers mentioned. The first time he came in to take measurements for estimates, he sat down patiently for 2 hours and explained us the different types of hardwood and their pros and cons. You never get an impression that he is pushing you in towards a particular supplier which many contractors do to get a cut. You also get a feeling that he really loves what he does. He also came with us to different stores to help us pick our hardwood floor (never again pushing for something). In fact he helped us carry all the stuff from Lowes to our house without charging anything extra.
Now for the actual work, it was immaculate and perfect. The work was completed as in the time promised and looked really good. He cleaned up well after everything. I really have no complaints with him which is difficult to say after such complicated work.

Juan was excellent from start to finish. He provided detailed estimates in a spreadsheet over email.
He arrived every morning at 8:30 am promptly and left around 6 pm in the evening. He worked very diligently non-​stop without even taking a break for lunch. He did not take any short cuts and is a perfectionist. He completed the work in the time promised at the estimate he provided. He cleaned up thoroughly. He was easy to work with and I would highly recommend him!
