Tidy Taylor

Sorry yall, this is the longest Unilocal review, but I was SO disappointed, I needed to explain.
Taylor is unresponsive, lacks attention to detail, and cant take responsibility for her wrong doings.
As the stay at home mother of a special needs child and a baby, I have outsourced many things that I dont have time for anymore. I did my research and contacted 6 cleaning companies. I was so excited to hear from Taylor, bc 1. She offers organizing services and 2. She speaks English, so I could be very upfront about what I expect. I contacted via text (many of the companies contacted me this way so I thought I would give it a shot and I was eager!), and I sent her an email. All of the other companies responded within the day, and scheduled an in person consultation within 48 hours. Taylor didn’t respond to my text, and took 1.5 days to reply and another 2 days and a follow up email from me to confirm a date and time to come give me a quote, almost a week later.
Prior to meeting, Taylor gave me a price range based on the size of my home, the maximum being more expensive than our last housekeeper, but I believed in Taylor’s abilities based on her reviews.
The day of the consultation, I had a conflict, and requested Taylor come 1.5hrs later, which she replied via text early A.M. «yes, see u at 3». Awesome.
At 3:20, Taylor shows up, says nothing about being late, brings a clip board to take notes. I walked her through everything we expected.
I told her what I wanted, and that included the sofa vacuumed, including the cushions and the edges of the rug swept under. My husband chimed in that things needed to be cleaned under, like the sofa and dining table.
She took notes, said no problem to these requests and quoted me at the maximum of that price range. The dates available didnt work for us, so she offered to move around some things and she would text me later that day with them.
2 days later and no text from her. I sent a text early A.M. telling her it was nice to meet and asking about dates/​times. Taylor responded by asking me to wait until business hours to text her (fair enough, but I wasn’t exactly clear what those hours were since I had received early texts from her too.), along with dates and times. I apologized to Taylor, explaining I don’t have time to respond most of the day, and am excited to hear from her even though it seems to be taking a while, which was a nice way of putting how annoying her lack of follow through was. Instead of apologizing for her lack of responsiveness, Taylor just responded «I am a terrible secretary» with dates that were available.
Family emergencies came up and I forgot to respond to Taylor. Realizing my mistake on the day she had offered to come (but I had never confirmed), I emailed her to tell her I forgot, and not wanting to impose on her, I asked we get started the next week. She texts back (super early, mind you!) that she can still come. I tell her great! Come over and ask how long it should take and she replies «I haven’t got a clue.» Totally weird comment, but okay, just a time frame would help. After I get the kids ready to leave she texts back to cancel and so we plan for the 20^th as our first clean. Again, no apologies and this is almost 2 weeks since my initial contact request.
Taylor arrives, while I am leaving, on the 20^th, so I remind her of what we talked about, asking her to refer to her notes and she confirms & offers to keep a set of my keys.
Returning home, I find an unevenly clean home. Taylor took great care with my possessions, and did a nice job organizing things that had been left out after a party. But when I looked at the areas I had requested, like the edges of the rug, sofa, under the table, they hadn’t been cleaned. Also the kitchen floor was weirdly slippery and tracked footprints around the house from the products used. My child slipped several times, so I ended up recleaning these areas.
I texted her and thanked her, noting the items she did well. I mentioned that items we specifically requested had not been done and hoped we could have them next time. I expected a text back basically saying «I took so much time with everything else, forgot & sorry!» Nothing. A week later I receive an email from Taylor telling me we aren’t a good fit and that I should look for someone with a smaller clientele list than her own. No apologies, no explanation other than that. I was sad. In the end, I agree it was a poor fit. I expect a detailed job, professionalism and customer service, none of which Taylor provides. It takes guts to tell someone they made any kind of mistakes or to give someone helpful feedback. Taylor feels she is either above these things or thinks being a business owner means she makes no mistakes or doesnt need to provide solid service. Either way, it was a very disappointing and super confusing experience, and I only hope to save other busy parents/​singles/​whatever the amount of time and energy I put into this experience.

Taylor and her team have been cleaning our house for over a year. They are thorough and work incredibly hard. They always come when they say they will, and their rates are very reasonable. I’ve already referred them to two other families! But the best part is Taylor’s eye for detail and organization: Taylor and her crew have great ideas about how to organize our toy-​cluttered space, and take extra time to organize things in a zen-​like way. You will not regret hiring Tidy Taylor!

Taylor and her crew are great! They have been cleaning for us for several years. Not only is she thorough, communicative and hardworking, but she is mindful of things like pets, scheduling etc. I alway look forward to coming home on the days when she has been here. I would definitely recommend her!

This review is long overdue.
Due to moving out, I was in dire need of my apartment to be thoroughly cleaned. I have never paid anyone to clean anything of mine before. My mother was a housekeeper so the thought of paying someone else to clean my home really pained me. But, after having moved all my belongings out, the mess that accumulated and the amount of cleaning that needed to be done to get my security deposit back was overwhelming. I didn’t have enough time or manpower on my hands to be able to get it done myself in such a short time frame. So, I sought the assistance of a cleaning service.
Being that it was my first time doing this, I was surprised at how many companies were already booked. I searched Unilocal and was unable to find anyone available at the last minute. I called during the week for assistance on Sunday. I began to feel as though my hope for professional cleaning was a lost cause, until one of the companies referred me to Tidy Taylor.
From the moment I reached out to her, she was pleasant. Always very responsive and friendly. Fortunately for me, she was open during the time and day I needed her. Thank God! Her prices are very reasonable and after having called so many places, I found her prices to be better than the others. What a God send she was. I showed her my untidy messy empty apartment and without skipping a beat, she was ready to take it on. I left her to do her thing and waited for her text that she was done. I can admit that I was a little worried at first. She didn’t come with a van full of equipment and supplies. She was a one-​woman job with supplies enough to carry with her own two hands. So, I prayed that everything would go well and that I wouldn’t come back home to see my apartment done halfway.
Taylor blew me away and upon entering my apartment it was as if I was seeing my apartment for the first time. I was the first renter and vividly remember how it looked upon moving in. It looked the same. I looked in every nook and cranny and she got it sparkling and clean. I was and still am amazed at what she was able to do in such a short time. Again, it pains me to have to enlist the help of someone else to clean my home. But, I would do it all over again and only with Taylor. She is wonderful, sweet, a professional and very efficient. If you ever need your place cleaned, please do not hesitate to contact Taylor. You won’t be disappointed.

My favorite day of the week is Friday, because that’s the day I turn the key, walk into the house, and am greeted by a spotless, gleaming house. It even smells good.
Taylor has been cleaning our house for the past year or so, and she is a delight to work with. She is hardworking, trustworthy, funny and very reasonably priced. She’s also easy to communicate with (text, email, phone) and communicates her needs clearly. She’s flexible and as someone else said, very non-​judgmental. She also seems genuinely fond of our gigantic, shedding labrador who follows her from room to room.
We are a family with very different cleaning standards (me, sloppy husband, teenaged son, big dog) and having Taylor in our lives has removed a big source of tension and has made our lives much easier.
She’s the best, and I would recommend her without reservation.

Wow. Taylor cleaned our home today for the first time and it looks like a brand new home. She’s thorough, efficient, hardworking and unbelievably nice. I have recently had some trouble finding someone after our baby was born — turns out communicating with the person who cleans your home becomes exponentially more important when there’s a kid involved. I will skip the bad press for the folks in my past and stick to the great review for Taylor.
She is the first person I’ve worked with who just gets it. First, she communicates effectively and professionally. She also approaches your home with care and respects your things. And here’s the real big plus, she flat-​out cleans your home… and she works hard doing it.
I didn’t have to spend a lot of time giving her directions and specific instructions, although the instructions that I did give her she noted and followed perfectly. From the moment I reached out to her… she has been an absolute pro to deal with and I’m thrilled I was referred to her.
Absolutely recommend Taylor! Hands down, the best in town.

I think Taylor has saved my life. She is as good as it ever gets. She’s a gem. Hard working, strong, non-​judgmental, smart, nice as they come. I can’t say enough good things.
