Renata is amazing. Worth my trip across the bridge. This visit as good as the first one a few months back. I would highly recommend the eyebrow tattoo process if you are like me with then eyebrows. She is efficient and a perfectionist all things one wants for such a job.

I would give her more star if there were more… Renata is great in every way possible, I was referred to her by a friend a few years ago and for that I’m grateful. She knows what you need, she takes the time to analyze your skin and customize every facial to your skin needs. My favorite one so far is the new one she introduced to me (HydroDermabrasion) your skin feels really soft and clean afterwards.
Back in November I finally took the courage to get my brows done permanently. I schedule my appointment and went on to get the Microblading Eyebrows, best decision ever made, my brows look better then ever and everyone compliment me on how natural and how good they look, and best part, she did such a GREAT job that I didn’t even need the touch up done after 8 weeks, that’s how amazing they came out. So whatever you have in mind that you want to get done, Renata is the person to do so. I’ve done waxing, facials, brows, chemical peels and always walked out of there with amazing results.
I highly recommend Renata to anyone out there looking to get whatever you need to get done! She’s extremely friendly and easy going, she’s my number one choice.

Renata is amazing! My first facial (ever) and she did an incredibly thorough job. I have very sensitive skin and she took her time and was gentle but didn’t miss a thing. She explained everything to me and gave me at-​home tips as well. Definitely will be making this a regular part of my skin care. No point in my trying to find other places when I already know that I was very happy with my treatment here!

My mom found Renata two years ago and made me go see her for an eyebrow design. Unlike salons/​wax centers, Renata really takes her time doing and perfecting it. She waxes it and with a magnifying lens, plucks whatever hair was still stubborn enough to be there. Instead of being painful or annoying — as these things can sometimes be — I usually find myself falling asleep during the «procedure».
Renata is one of the reasons that, even though I moved to the east coast, I still find myself coming back to see her every time I’m in town. I simply haven’t met anyone as good as she to take care of my eyebrows.

I’ve been to Renata two times already and I will definitely be going to her more now that I have moved back into the city! The biggest issue with my skin is that I have clogged pores so both times I went in for the Deep Pore Facial and I saw significant results in a matter of a couple of days. Due to the extractions that are done during the facial I did have a bit of bruising that lasted for about 3 days which is normal, but after the bruising disappeared my skin was glowing!
I highly recommend Renata to anyone looking to get a facial! Shes extremely friendly and she was also helpful in giving me tips to use natural products to help my skin during the healing process rather than pushing her own products. Will definitely be making another visit to her very soon!

So glad I read the reviews and found Renata here at Pure Skin. I completely agree with what others said, regarding Renata’s sincere concern for each client’s needs and goals. Many other places in the neighborhood really do seem to push their products and make suggestions that don’t feel personalized, but Renata told me to exfoliate at home with brown sugar (among many other inexpensive, practical things)! Truthfully her prices are a bit higher than the place I had been going to, but at this previous place, they gave discounts to everyone who was a regular and had come at least 3 times. It seemed suspicious that the «normal» rate was more than twice as much as the rate I was getting. I’m all for deals, but here I feel that Renata is very straight forward, there are no gimmicks or incentives to go to her exclusively, other than the desire to get the best care for my aging skin! Given the cheap at-​home care in between visits, I can manage to come monthly and looking forward to keeping up my routine!

I recently had a stranger in one of my yoga classes turn to me and compliment me on my skin (no makeup, first thing in the morning) completely out of the blue. THIS is what compelled me to share how amazing Renata is!
I have seen Renata 3 times and after my first facial, I resolved that I would make facials with her part of my regular skincare regiment.
What I specifically love about her facials:
1) Renata clearly knows skin and can «diagnose» what is needed for you specifically that day and tailor the products that she uses. (She custom-​creates everything on-the-spot…I don’t think she has used the same product on me twice yet!)
2) She is always communicating what she is using or doing so I feel informed (and educated!) the entire session.
3) In addition to the standard facial, Renata’s facials are much more «medical than others. She has these amazing ultrasonic tools that she uses to enhance the effectiveness of the serums/​moisturizers. (These are non-invasive…more like a gentle massage or a special light.)
4) She genuinely cares about beautiful skin. She has never once tried to sell me any products. Instead, she emphasizes the importance of a consistent skincare routine regardless of price. (She actually recommended many natural options: green tea as a toner, organic brown sugar as an exfoliant, vitamin E oil as a moisturizer, and honey/​yogurt as a face mask… all things that you can pick up at the grocery store and whip up right at home.)
5) Renata is INCREDIBLY thorough… never rushed even though her schedule is pretty jam-​packed. I think she literally cleared out every.single.pore. the first time I saw her. (Hurts so good!)
Top this all off with the fact that she is such a delightful person with glowing skin herself and it’s really a no-​brainer! See you soon, Renata!

Renata customized my facial to my specific skin needs. Not was the treatment super relaxing the effect is amazing! I think I can postpone the cosmetic surgery I was thinking about with regular appointments. My skin is tighter, smoother, lifted, and healthy looking. I am now on a regular appointment schedule with Renate. For those of you who don’t know «Renata» means «re-​born». How appropriate.

Pure heaven! Once again Renata has made me feel relaxed, pampered, fresh and clean. She customizes the facials based on your skin and also what you want — she doesn’t pressure you to do or try something you don’t want to. Can’t wait for my next appointment!

I am not even sure where to start. Renata is a blessing. I am 26 and suffer from terrible acne. It started at about 23 and progressively got worse. Fed up with terms putting me on antibiotics and prescriptions, I decided I wanted a more natural approach. I knew that I couldn’t resort to pills for my entire life. I have been doing bi-​monthly facials with Renata. She takes her time and does a thorough job. She never rushes and always goes the extra mile. She never pushes products on me either. I had my first facial with Renata last week and can’t say enough about how awesome it/​she is.
I had been having problems with some dry spots on my chin along with just all around not great texture on my face. Renata not only gave a great facial but she took note of every irregular spot on my face and sent me home with a set of notes, recommendations and a daily routine to help calm the red dry spots and keep my face soft and happy. 5 days later and I can already see/​feel a huge difference! Excellent! I found out about The Pure Skin from a living social deal. Renata was very professional and sweet. The space was clean and cozy. She made me feel relaxed and educated me on a variety of things regarding my facial. During the facial she used a step by step approach which made it more comfortable for someone new to facials. At the end of the service, she gave me some organic and inexpensive suggestions to help with my daily skin care. I highly recommend her services!

Love the location it is seriously easy to get to. Renata is warm and does a good job to take care of the details. It is private and relaxing, you feel like your at home and in a way you are. She explains what she is doing and when which is great is you are curious about her process or what she is using on you.

The great thing about TPS starts with convenient parking; I was able to find free two hour street parking just half a block down on Union Street.
Renata was very warm and kind, and she takes great care of her clients by catering to every little detail: warming up the bed and covers, offering water, and went over each step of the treatment process. Since the spa isn’t in a commercial setting (it’s in a I guess Victorian style home), I felt like there’s no rush through, which means greater relaxation in a quieter environment. It’s not fancy, but the decent prices and her friendliness make it a great place for spa treatment.
Right when you get inside the door, there’s a bathroom, and few chairs where clients can sit and read some magazines while waiting for treatment.
Although I didn’t fall asleep during the massage like I have had in the past, this indeed was still a very relaxing experience. She’s also very accommodating with appointment needs, greatest thing is the oils she used on me left a faint fragrance on me for the rest of the day, loved it!

Now, I know you’re all going to tell me that three long days of sun, wind and chlorine exposure aren’t the best things for my skin. And I think you’re right, but unfortunately for my skin, I like my swim meets and I’m going to continue to go. And guess what, I’ve recently discovered the perfect antidote:

She is knowledgeable, friendly, and gentle (yet firm on extractions). I love the extra perks of the cozy environment with a warm bed and sheets, eucalyptus-​scented warm towels, and the neck and shoulder massage. Renata is also careful to state the name of everything she puts on your face, so that you can learn too.
But more important than anything else are the results. I walk out of there glowing (not red and blotchy like after other facials I’ve had). After my first appointment, I got several compliments on my skin at work (under fluorescent lighting people, so that’s saying something). I also noticed fewer breakouts.

Renata is the sweetest, most pleasant, and most thorough facialist! She has great skin herself, which is always a tell-​tale sign that you’re in for a treat. If a facialist doesn’t even take care of her own skin, how can she buff and polish yours away to perfection?
Not to worry. Renata customizes every facial to your skin’s needs that day, and can give you great advice on how to maintain it after your visit. It’s certainly a soothing experience to receive a deep cleaning followed by the MOST relaxing head, neck, and shoulder massage I’ve ever had. I will return to Renata time and time again and recommend her to anyone who wants a relaxing, yet very cleansing facial.

I am very picky about my waxing… and Renata definitely a miracle worker and gives an almost painless Brazilian (which I dare say is near impossible). She’s incredibly sweet and fun to talk to… if you’re in need of a wax, she’s the best. The salon is cute and in a nice area of town.

The Pure skin is a professional place where i get my facial, waxing and everything else done. I even got my armpit cleaning with her, even though it wasn’t in the list of her treatments. We talked about it and she was great in doing a deal for me. I just bought my boyfriend a back treatment with her and he will love it– he is super picky. Also, nothing better then getting a BRAZILIAN bikini waxing with a BRAZILIAN, rt?
