Soft Touch Electrolysis

I’ve been going to Sina and Elissa for quite some time now, and I’d like to say… come here. Come here if you want to see MAJOR results. I never would have expected to have such a drastic reduction in hair this quickly, but it’s crazy… I’m way past the point I expected if be at. I can’t recommend Elissa enough, nor Sina… completely changed my quality of life, and I’ll likely be done with treatments soon. Absolutely fabulous!!!

I started to see Elyssa beginning of this year for excessive hair on my chin and neck. I never had this growth before but learnt that the laser treatment I had gotten before was actually causing this out of control growth. I cant say enough good things about her. Elyssa is very professional and an expert at what she does. After about 12 treatments I am seeing significant reduction in my growth. The treatments are a little painful but… no pain no gain :) After my chin and neck showed great results she recommended I see Sina (her coworker) for my cheeks area. Sina uses a different type of machine and for my case it was a good option. Sina is also amazing and an expert at this! I am also seeing really great results with her treatments. My appointments are now only once a month and I don’t have to do anything in between! I am thankful to Elyssa and Sina and I am so glad I found them! Thumbs up and a full 5 star!

I’ve been seeing Sina for two years now. She’s wonderful — thorough, accommodating, and hilarious (you really come to appreciate someone with a good sense of humor when you’re going through electrolysis!). Sina won’t take you on if she doesn’t think you’ll see results, and she’ll give really honest feedback about the progress you’re making, if you can reduce the time of your sessions, etc. I haven’t worked with Elissa before but see her in the office all the time and think she runs a great business. I definitely recommend Soft Touch Electrolysis!

I’ve been seeing Elissa for electrolysis and the results are amazing. I trust Elissa because she always explains what she’s doing and works quickly and efficiently, using only the amount of time necessary for my treatment, which saves me money. It’s definitely a time and money investment, so this is something I really appreciate. Before I visited Elissa, I’d tried every other kind of hair removal: shaving, waxing, tweezing, and even laser hair removal, which stimulated MORE hair growth for me. Elissa obviously knows her stuff, using the right machine and frequency for my treatment. The results (after only 5 treatments) are so encouraging. I know it’s cliché to say, but I only wish I’d come to her years ago.

I’ve seen both Sina and Elissa for the past 8 months, and I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about them. Both Sina and Elissa are warm, personable, professional, and incredibly attentive to detail. They not only do a wonderful job, but are also incredibly accommodating to schedule changes, etc.
Outside of their professional courtesy, their work is astounding. I’ve been to electrologists before, with minor results, and decided to try one last time. During my first visit Elissa was very honest and said the treatment would last at least a year for my case. Now, 8 months in (4 months with Elissa and 4 with Sina), I can honestly say I see 70−80% improvement. I truly didn’t think my skin could be as great as it is now, thanks to these two.
I will refer anyone to these women in a heartbeat!

Sina is EXCELLENT! She is personable, experienced and very thorough in her work, a real credit to Elisa. I am seeing such wonderful results– the hair is pretty much gone! I highly recommend Sina to anyone who wants to look their best and gets results.

Hey, it’s electrolyis… I just couldn’t vote 5 star «woo hoo». elissa is punctual (key, given how many times you have to go to get it to work!) and meticulous. Again, it is electrolysis so it hurts but Elissa does what she can: numbing beforehand and pintsized ice backs on the way out. As good as it’s gets.

Elissa is a wonderful woman who has truly changed my life! I’ve been coming to her since February 2013 and she has been nothing short of professional. She always ensures that my appointments are on schedule and accommodates my busy schedule.

Quick and professional! Elissa said I’d see less hair in a matter of time and she delivered as promised. I’ve a little ways to go but see light at the end of the tunnel. I would certainly recommend any of the ladies at Soft Touch Electrolysis!

Hair removal by electrolysis is just a rite of passage for the women in my family. My other sisters have tried laser, waxing, etc, to no avail and have all come back to the only permanent method of hair removal: electrolysis.
After I got my first real paying job and finally had the money to start regular treatment, I found a place close to work on the peninsula. I went for almost a year, every week for 30 min. Being my first electrolysis experience, I didn’t know what to expect as far as progress and was content that I was at least hairless for a few days and my ingrown hairs had lessened.
So when my mom came to visit over Christmas this year, I was surprised but actually relieved to hear her dismay. She was like, «How long have you been going? Wow, every week? And it still looks like this? Does she have her macine turned up all the way??» My hairs were still coarse and flourishing, but I was trying to be patient, knowing that the process can take time. After the reality check with my mother, and spending over $ 3000 and 20+ hours, I decided to move on.
After careful review of the options downtown SF that would work with my commute, and after speaking on the phone to Ursula at Soft Touch, I decided to give them a try. I have to say that I was impressed with Ursula’s care not to bad mouth my previous technician. I was pretty pissed that I had wasted so much money and time, yet Ursula wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe the other technician didn’t realize that what she was doing to me was prolonging my treatment. If a technician plucks instead of waiting for the current to release the hair, it’s almost like you are just plucking. Two steps forward, one step back. It’s gonna be awhile.
Four months after finding my new salon, I have to say that I am extremely happy. I have had treatments from both Ursula and Alyssa and they are both very skilled. Ursula’s treatments are very relaxing with your eyes covered and soft music in the back ground. Alyssa is very personable, warm and interesting to talk to. They are both very skilled and add their own finishing touches to their treatment which nourish and revitalize the skin. Instead of going every week, I go every two weeks. I don’t even have hairs for a week and when they do grow in they are softer than they have ever been. I figure at this rate I should be done in a year, and I’m going half as often. It’s great! And having the benefit of multiple skilled electrologists, I can nearly always get in when I want to.
One last note, my boyfriend likes it too because I’m not all prickly when we kiss. Super bounus, yay :)

Elissa has changed my life for the better. I came to her after a bad reaction to laser treatment on my face (hair grew back thicker and darker — terrible!), and I was seriously beginning to think that I was out of options…
I came to her in a vulnerable state, and she calmly and clearly explained the process of electrolysis, and answered all my questions. The consultation was free, and she even did a test run on my problem area. Even though the process is a lot more time-​intensive than I thought, she works quickly and is able to cover a lot of ground in one session. A little over a year later, she has successfully reduced almost all of the dark hairs that used to be on my chin and neck. No scarring and completely permanent. It’s amazing.
Beyond the fact that Elissa is really good at what she does, her office is a really warm and inviting place. Elissa and I have really nice chats during every one of my sessions, and all the other ladies who work there are super sweet. They’re also really on top of things in terms of making sure you book appointments in advance so you can keep your preferred time slot.
And they do more than electrolysis! Just yesterday I did a microdermabrasion facial, and my skin is totally smooth and glowing. I never thought of myself as a facial person, but now I’m a total convert.

I’ve been going through the process of electrolysis for 8 weeks now and I have to say both Ursula and Elyssa are THE BEST. Ursula is so funny and entertaining, but she also really cares about you as a client. Due to Ursula being on sabatical for a few months I’ve switched over to Elyssa and could not have fallen into better hands. On my first session with Elyssa we were off to a slower start as I have very course hair on my neck and I’m prone to ingrowns hairs. Elyssa spent about 15 or 20 minutes extra time on me and did so complimentary to make up for the time it takes to get just the right setting, needle type, and for lack of a better word pace. I thought that was so kind of her, as it’s not customary.
Elyssa is very passionate about her work and understands that for many of us this process isn’t simply about hair removal. She understands that many women who have struggled with excessive hair growth often have gone through so many measures to get rid of it and it takes a toll on your self esteem as a woman.
I personally have alot of damage on my neck and chin from tweezing and picking. (TMI I know) I’m coming up on my fourth sesson with Elyssa, (8 sessions total) and I’ve seen a significant change in the texture of my hair. I’ve gone from bristle coarse to baby hair soft.
Elyssa also recommended a Skin Ceuticals mask which I used this weekend and have already noticed some of the dark patches of hyperpigmentation are begining to clear. Whether that’s a result of the electrolysis, or mask, or me no longer tweezing… I don’t know. All I can say for sure is that it’s working. I’m seeing progress and real results, and for someone who has struggled with this all her life, I can’t describe to you how happy and excited I am!

I only had two appointments here, but I have tried many electrolysis places before this, and as of right now this one has worked the best. I had a happy trail on my stomach — thick black hairs. Since my last visit, it has been half a year and none of those hairs have grown back. I did not have any scars or discoloration either (although I don’t care too much about that). I will be coming back for more treatments in other areas, and I’ll update the review based on how those treatments go.

I only wish I could give this place 10 stars. All the women that work here are friendly and sweet — Mila, Paulina, Elissa, etc. My electrolysis was done exclusively with Elissa. She is absolutely amazing at what she does — professional, friendly, compassionate and most importantly — truly skilled and educated in her craft. I started seeing Elissa for electrolysis treatment about 2 ½ years ago, and since then I can honestly say my life has changed. I started out going once a week for about a month and a half. Then once every two weeks, then once every three, four, five and at the end, every six-​eight weeks.
Thanks to Elissa, I no longer have to worry about getting rid of unwanted facial hair EVERY single time I get ready in the morning. She’s completely made that problem disappear for me. As a light-​skinned person with jet black hair, this has always been a problem that has plagued me and taken hours upon hours of my time to resolve at home. Since I began electrolysis, however, this has changed completely. I spend almost no time at home dealing with this and Elissa has gotten rid of 95% of the unwanted hair. When we began treatment, she told me she could guarantee a 70−75% reduction, but the results we got were much better.
Throughout all the treatments, Elissa was always as gentle as possible (yes, it hurts, but that can’t be helped) and we also managed to get to know each other quite well. On my last couple of visits with her (I only stopped going because I moved out of the state), Elissa took the time to ask about my move, my future job, and everyone important to me (my sisters, parents, best friends, etc). She remembered everything I had told her! Not only is she great at her job, but she also cares and becomes invested with each client. I wish I could have taken her with me when I moved but I will always remember her as having changed my life. Thank you Elissa!

I heard they are wonderful, but my experience with Elissa was sub-​par.
I went twice now and don’t think I will go back. The first time the front waiting room was super-​hectic and actively unrelaxing. It was a madhouse. The appointment itself was okay but I didn’t feel the results were as good as I’ve had elsewhere.
The second time… worse! I was the only one in the waiting room, a little bit early (10 min) to respect the tight schedule. Elissa comes out of her room and walks by me. She pauses and asks who I am there to see. Now, she has A LOT of clients, and I have only been to her once before so I do not expect her to remember me, but when I rely that I am there to see HER, she gives me a dirty look and walks away without another word! Seriously? Seriously!!!
And then during the appoitment she’s telling me some stuff like, the electrolysis isn’t killing the hair follicle at all… just making the hair finer in texture… Is that true? That isn’t what my other electrolysist said is going on…
I don’t trust this woman anymore, plus she was unpleasant. Then to top it off, the reception staff, who you have to give payment to, seems to be always gossiping when I am trying to get out of there. Having to work to get their attention to give them $$ makes me want to walk out without paying!

I don’t want to give her five stars because now it will be even harder to get an appointment! and I want to keep her all to myself!
She is, hands down, amazing. She is professional, caring, wants to help you achieve your goals and will work on a strategy with you to make it happen.
She’s changed the way I feel about myself and given me back a confidence I had lost.
what more can I say!
