Used Shannon Moving for a move from downtown SF (high rise condo) to a bigger space in Oakland. Everything was professional, on time, and very fairly priced. A+. This was my first time hiring movers and we were so so happy we did.
Side note, if you are moving from a busy street, just be sure to secure parking with the city, big enough for the moving truck (the movers can tell you how many space they’ll need for their truck). It’ll cost you a little $, but worth it if you think there’s a possibility there might not be anywhere for the truck to park when it arrives.

A great moving experience! From my first conversation with Keith on the phone, I felt I was in good hands. On the day of, the movers were on time, courteous and efficient. After the move was complete, Peter was extremely helpful working out some final details. Moving is usually a pain, but Shannon helped make it a little easier.

The original movers that I hired were a no-​show. I called Shannon Moving and despite having other jobs that day, they squeezed me in. They arrived on time, handled my possessions with care and everything worked out. The last thing I will mention is the price. This can be tricky with some movers because it seems like the bill gets inflated when it comes time to settle up. But I didn’t have this issue with Shannon. Would use them again.

Great moving service. Showed up early, were a pleasure to work with, didn’t break a thing and wrapped earlier than expected and on budget. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone.

Overall great experience with this company. Called for a quote, got some basic info from me and gave me an estimate of what my out of town move would run me. I called probably 10 or more other companies and this was hands down the best rate! Moved from a 1 bedroom to a house so only needed 2 movers plus my husband was there to help with the smaller stuff to keep the process moving. Everything arrived in one piece safe and sound! The drive took a little longer than anticipated which in turn raised the price from the original quote but overall was worth it. Ryan and Danny were friendly and very helpful when it came to our move! They were respectful of our belongings and were quick workers. Thank you for the help!

It was so easy to book with Shannon Moving company. I filled out a form online and had a quote the next day. They followed up the day before to go over specifics. We received a couple quotes from other moving companies and Shannon was the most competitive.
Nino, Russel, and Rickey showed up to help us move and were wonderful! They were fast, extremely friendly and courteous, and took great care of our stuff. They brought plenty of wardrobe boxes which made moving go so much easier. We lived in an apartment with steep stairs and they powered through only breaking for a few minutes to catch their breath.
All in all, great moving company! I’d recommend them to anyone!

Kevin, Thomas, & Olafur moved our three-​bedroom house in record time. By record time I mean they arrived at 9 AM and their 26′ van was packed and ready to go by 11:30 AM. They got everything in, which was amazing in itself! They charged exactly what they quoted. I’ve always been leery of moving companies, since being quoted one price and charged another price, once they were done. That’s happened to me twice. This company is on the up-​and-​up and I couldn’t be more appreciative. Tipped each one of the three workers $ 50.00 and at the time I wished I could have tipped them $ 100.00 each — they really were that good!

Hands down the best movers you’ll find in San Francisco and as a home stager I’ve used lot of movers.
Super professional, punctual and go out of their way to accommodate your needs — above all they take great care in the packing and transportation of your furniture and fragile items.

Though their guys were an hour late due to the previous customer not being finished with their packing (thus, not really their fault), I had a seamless and practically stress free move — if that’s at all possible. My movers were friendly, fast, respectful and careful with my things. The company was able to book my move at the last minute and on a Sunday, nonetheless. Also, straightforward with pricing and fairly affordable. I would use them again when I have to move in the future.

They moved us from the peninsula to LA. Both houses have 3 levels, and it was hot in both locations. I never heard any complaints, only compliments. Their service was friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

These guys are great. I hired them to move stuff out of storage back into my place after I remodeled my bathroom and bedroom. Not a huge move but I have delicate furniture. Very nice guys. The 2 guys from Shannon were Mulla and Olafur. What I liked best … they wrapped and taped just about everything in blankets so the wood furniture would not rub. Seems obvious but the previous bozos from Craigslist stacked wood furniture on top of each other before transporting in a truck that vibrates while driving. Basically they treat your stuff like it’s their stuff. I originally thought the 5 star reviews were bs but now I totally get it. With the Unilocal discount and 5% cash discount it’s affordable. I’m sold.

Moving sucks. These guys make it bearable and dare I say slightly fun!
Dave, Eugene, Rob and the task master Carlos moved us into our new home efficiently and with no drama. They were totally accommodating, extremely polite and professional. Nothing arrived broken. They asked smart questions and followed through on each task.
We have moved a handful of times and used Bekins, Allied and Delancey. I would say without a doubt this has been the best moving experience in terms of price, quality of the work and experience on moving day.

The blurb that captures my experience is «so easy». Why? Background; we moved a three bedroom + garage stuff + patio furniture from SF to Lafayette. Every step of the process with Shannon Moving was just made so easy.
First, getting a quote and working through iterations of whether we would pack or not was made extremely easy by Keith. He contacted me right away, and was very very flexible should we have needed to change the date.
Second, packing which we had them do. Our move situation was (by our design) such that packing had to be done on a Sunday afternoon and then the move on Monday. No problem! The team of three from Shannon arrived promptly, were courteous and friendly, and in 3 hours quickly and efficiently packed everything! They left the beds for the next day so we didnt even have to worry about that.
Finally, the move out and in. The team called ahead before showing up, packed the rest, loaded up — again very efficiently. I was onsite but didnt have to ‘repeat’ or micromanage anything. Just so easy. And then on the other end, they moved in everything, including re-​assembling two sofas, two beds, a futon etc in the exact time they had estimated.
Nothing broken. Nothing scratched. Just so easy.

A surprisingly convenient and easy way to store your boxes, bike, etc!
I came in yesterday with half of my apartment in boxes and was able to pack away everything safe and secure into pods. They have different sized pods for however much space you need.
Great monthly rate and no additional charge of you want to add more things or take out thing from your pod! (Just a 48 hour notice)

On the day of the move, Peter called saying they were going to be 10 minutes late. And then showed up exactly at the updated time.
These guys mean business. No lingering around just straight to get the job done.

We combined two places into one, and they didn’t put a fuzz about having to make a second stop before the final one.
I wish we had more cash to give them a juicy tip, because they deserved it.
I’ll definitely use their services again next time I move (hopefully no in the next 7 years) and will make sure to recommend them to friends and family.

Choosing Shannon moving was a great decision.
They were extremely professional and helpful. They showed up right on time, and worked very efficiently to move us across town. I also really liked Moe. He was super helpful and made sure we knew he really cared about making our experience a positive one.
I’d definitely use Moe and his crew again next time we move.

Update: Keith, your response is condescending and resorting to personal attacks is utterly ridiculous. I didn’t ask you to replace my items from Ikea that you broke. I was much more reasonable in my request to replace my shedder that your guy dropped in front of me, as well as repair my laptop, and work with me on replacing my mattress that your guys destroyed. You avoided doing anything to rectify the situation in the slightest. As I address you by name you refer to me as «the customer.» You’re strictly speaking to your potential future customers, doing damage control, while still ignoring me. It’s a really great way to illustrate how you take care of «your customers.»

I used another moving company after Shannon Moving that was truly amazing. Just the total opposite. They’re called One Big Man, One Big Truck.

Shannon Moving broke a bunch of things and didn’t replace a single one.
Keith, the owner, offered to send some guys out and they tapped my bed frame a few times with a hammer and left.
I told Keith, that I understand pressboard IKEA furniture is not built to last.
I asked him to replace our mattress and have my laptop repaired.
Reasonable right?
I would call Keith. He’d ask me to send him pictures. I sent photos. Nothing. I call again, I send more photos. He wants the photos emailed as attachments. Nothing. I call again, he has the audacity to tell me it’s been too long.
Too long!
I paid you almost 3K! Replace my things Keith!
Things that were destroyed by Keith’s guys:
* Macbook pro was thrown into a box. The lid was bent when I pulled it out and it will not hold a charge since.
* One of the guys dropped my paper shredder right in front of me as I watched shards shoot off of the canister.
* Top of an end table was ripped clean off.
* Our months old mattress was so badly damaged that a quarter of it is smashed in and the side is jutting out.
* A few irreplaceable hand-​me-​downs trinkets.
More incompetence:
* Ridiculous things like a bag of flour is wrapped BUT NOT A MACBOOK PRO
* The rebuilding of the bed frame was so half-​assed that pieces were just kind of attached.
* My daughters metal bed frame was together by one Keith’s employees who thought bending the frame was the right way to assemble it.
* Stripped all the screws on my daughter’s crib
