i ignored my shoulder pain for roughly a year, but it got so bad that i couldn’t even put my shirt on without being in pain. after 1 visit with Dr. Krystal Drwencke the sharp pain was gone and i could move my arm without crying inside. what i appreciated the most — well almost the most, is that she did not expect me to return for never-​ending visits. she prescribed a specific target date and we tracked my overall wellness toward that goal.

Problem: My hip is out of alignment. It hurts when I walk over 3 miles. I need to do a 35 miles hike in three days next week.
Solution: Dr. Denny listen to all my needs. Put a plan together to address my hip. I felt great when I left the office. After 35 miles of hike, I was the only one without any soreness in the hip (out of 6).
Dr. Denny listen to me, made me feel comfortable and aligned my hip. I can’t thank you enough. I am a customer for life. Keep up the good work!

5 stars really isn’t enough. I went to see Dr Denny last week for the first time, on this visit she did a thorough exam. Questions and physical (such as range of motion), with gentle pushing and prodding. It’s the second visit where the magic really happened.
But before I get into that I just need to say: I don’t really have any major issues, I went to see Dr Denny on the advise that its a good thing to keep my spine ‘tuned up’. I work hard in eating well balanced diet, drink plenty of water and get good exercise. So why not ‘tune-​up’ the part of me that runs this whole business — My Spine.
So I went in again yesterday for hear the results of my physical and to get a spine tune up. Dr Denny sat me down and explained what she discovered. She has very professional ‘bedside manner’ and at the same time is very thorough and compassionate. By the time I was ready to be adjusted, I was completely at was completely at ease. It turns out I really needed to come see her. My upper spine (neck) had limited range, meaning I couldn’t turn my head as much as I should. I thought I could turn my head just fine. The vertebrae had started to lock up. I never really noticed this, as it came on slowly and was ‘normal’ to me. But it all made sense. It also explained why my right arm tended to hurt when I slept on it. The nerves that exit my spine were being compressed and not firing properly. The other ‘problem’ area was the exact opposite, my lower spine. Same issue there– compressing. She said this explained why my lower back tightened up and hurt a few times a year.
So then she got me on her table and started to work her magic (thats what I’m calling it). It was a gentle, yet strong/​confident touch. There was a lot of cracking and some major release. By the time she was done (it only took a few minutes), I felt like a new man. Felt taller, clearer headed, much more relaxed. It was AWESOME! But we weren’t done yet. She used a laser on my shoulder to help unbundle the nerves that ran down my arm. Totally painless, but I did have to wear some goofy green goggles. At the end of the treatment, my arm strength was back to normal.
We sat down after and discussed my goals for treatment, and what her goals for me were. then scheduled a few more follow up adjustments. It took my body years to compress my spine and will take a few more adjustments to train the muscles back to normal. Its crazy to think, but I CAN NOT WAIT to go back and see her!

Recently I went snowboarding in Tahoe and rolled my ankle. Unfortunately I failed to go to the doctor or have it checked for more than 4 weeks, until I finally went to see Dr. Denny.
After only two treatments my ankle recovered fully and I was able to participate in martial arts again. If you are an athlete, a working professional, or just someone who doesn’t like going to the doctor. I highly recommend seeking treatment from Dr. Denny because she cares deeply about the outcome of your health and that is truly something you cannot put a price on.

As a former rugby player, current runner/​dancer/​hiker, and lifelong athlete, I have had my fair share of injuries that I have always powered through. When I finally got tired of dealing with chronic aches and pains, I sought out chiropractic care a few years ago. After one doctor in So Cal and one in SF, I became convinced that chiro could make my neck and back feel ok for a few days, but that my injuries were just too complex to deal with.
Dr. Denny was then recommended to me by a colleague after I gave up on chiro. She identified my major injuries during my initial exam without much questioning at all — she could read my posture, weaknesses, etc. She has been the ONLY chiropractor to ever address my chronic hip pain — EVER. I left this injury untreated for so long that I thought I’d live with it always. She has corrected my alignment to the point where the rest of my body is getting in on the healing — my surrounding muscles are learning to relax, my body is relaxing into a normal posture in between adjustments, and I even get more out of my workouts (which reinforces the healing) by being aware of and breaking my old patterns of movement that exacerbated my issues.
In addition to the hip work we do, Dr. Denny treats all of my ailments as they arise. Strained foot muscle from overuse/​new shoes? Healed. Shoulder pain from bad sleep on too many long flights? Healed without my even needing to mention the pain. Dr. Denny allows me to remain a lifelong athlete, and I am so grateful to have been lead to her practice.

Lonna and her entire team are sensational. She has her practice down to a science and I cannot even begin to tell you how many people she helps on a daily basis who love her and her team.
She is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and caring towards her patients. As a patient she is always on schedule, provides good treatment options and goes above and beyond for her patients. In pain? Check out Dr. Denny.

Dr. Denny diagnosed a condition that my MD had missed for years! Needless to say, her scope of medical knowledge is far greater than Chiropractic.

I have known and admired Doctor Denny’s work for some years now. Both my Mother and I have been treated by her from time to time. Most recently she did something miraculous for me. I fell on the street on my way to work and injured my hip, shoulder and most seriously, my right arm. I was in a lot of pain but an xray showed no fracture. I was taking advil and icing my arm throughout the day for several days. When I went to see Doctor Denny, she got out her gadgets and went to work on my arm. Before I left, she had me sit under infra red lighting for awhile. My arm was completetly healed by nightfall. I was free of pain and no longer needed to ice my arm nor take any pain pills. Very impressive !

I had a major dental surgery and had stitches all along the inside of my jaw line — Dr. Denny used her cold laser machine on the swelling and after just one treatment it was remarkably improved. I wouldn’t normally think of a chiropractor for treating this kind of thing but that machine is the bomb!

I am so happy I went to see Dr. Denny with my back problem. Within a short amount of time she had me back on track. She is the best chiropractor ever. The office staff is helpful, fun and always pleasant. If you have a back issue or any other musculoskeletal issue, call Dr. Denny. If she can’t fix you, no one can.

Best back crack in town. I’ve been seeing Dr. D and her staff for several weeks for a shoulder injury that I have been trying to rehab since last November (2013). I had worked with a PT and Orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and Physical therapy with residual pain. Then, came to Dr. Denny and her staff for some TLC. Within a month… No burning pain in my deltoids and lats! Amazing.
Downside is that my insurance has a cap on # of chiropractic visits per year, but I trust Dr. Denny. I saw her for my runner’s knee in 2012 and with a few adjustments, I got back to running within a few short months. She does a thorough evaluation, develops sound treatment plans and assists with follow through with gentle encouragement.
Also, this is the home of the famous «no sex» massage in the tenderloin… Of course, it made more sense when the sex shop was open downstairs lol

I wish there were a gold star available for people like Dr Denny. I had an acute flair up of a 10 year old whiplash injury that I hadn’t treated (I was 21, I had no idea) and only treated the acute flare up that would happen every couple of years even though my neck would tense up every few months it seemed. This last time was so intense and painful I was in agonizing, debilitating pain. I immediately called Dr Denny’s office and she was able to see me that afternoon and squeeze in my first treatment early the day after that so that I wouldn’t have to suffer through the weekend.
Folks, if you’re looking for effective treatment with a plan, look no further. I immediately began to feel better after the first treatment and within 4 sessions I don’t just feel «back to normal» I’m actually starting to feel BETTER and now learning just how much chronic pain I’d been in for years. (Turns out that shoulder ache was a nerve in my neck not a joint issue). She is effective and her personality will put you right at ease. My dogs LOVED her from the first minute, I know you dog people will understand this.
I’m now starting the rehab process since we’re through the acute phase and I’m really looking forward to working with her to fix the chronic issues that I’ve been dealing with for years. I’m excited too have a healthy, aligned spine for the first time in memory.
I cannot recommend Dr Denny enough and the rest of her staff are friendly, efficient, and helpful. I recommend her to everyone I work with. Do yourself a favor and become a regular, your body will thank you.

Dr. Denny and her team have provided me quality therapeutic care for just over a month. In this short time I’ve seen a marked improvement in what ails and I’ve come to really enjoy the experience of getting my body back into alignment. She utilizes a vast array of techniques and tools, which has been an exciting experience. The post-​adjustment motorized table treatment is incredibly relaxing. Dr. Denny’s office not only provides quality medical services but there’s a real sense of community in her office. She and her team even checked in with me after my first adjustment to see how I was feeling. As if this all wasn’t enough, Dr. Denny ends each appointment with a sincere and enthusiastic «you’re perfect!». Now, who doesn’t mind hearing that?
I highly recommend Dr. Denny and her team, including Cory Cook who is the resident massage therapist and part-​time receptionist. Top notch!

Everyone’s writing about Dr. Denny and how great she is… I wish I would have seen her and not one of the other folks there.
I have severe neck pain, very localized, and described this in detail to the CMT who massaged everywhere except for the muscle that hurts. I kind of feel cheated as I’m still in an incredible amount of pain, actually more so then when before I came in. I guess the upside was the massage was a gift, so didn’t have to pay for it.

Dr Denny saved my life! Literally-​saved-​my-​life!
I suffer from plantar Facaiitis which started to flair up. It made it impossible for me to work out and caused me to have a quite unsightly limp.
I saw a podiatrist. I saw a Pilates instructor. Did yoga. Talked to my trainer… Nothing worked.
They all said the same thing– stretch it, ice it and for the love of all things holy– stay off of it. (They obviously don’t know me).
That’s easier said than done with my lifestyle but I tried– to no avail. Six weeks went by, then eight. Finally I heard that chiropractic can assist and remembered that Dr Denny had said (more than once or twice) that she specializes in extremities. Of course I didn’t really know what that meant and certainly assumed it had more to do with the bones in the foot and not the fascia.
I was wrong. One visit and I was cured. Well, not cured quite– but on the road to recovery. She made me swear to not start jogging until the full treatment was completed… But I certainly felt like my old self again.
And let’s face it, everyone wants to see me in cute shoes!

I came here because I noticed my collar bones were uneven and my neck hurt sometimes when I woke up. Dr. Denny did some tests and it turned out I had a few more problems than I had realized.
Thankfully Dr. Denny is a highly trained and wonderful Chiropractor to go to. It’s been just over a month and I’m feeling 100% better.
Her staff is great as well. Always polite and easy to work with.

Heaven… I’m in heaven! WOW, what a crazy couple of months it has been. I swear I wouldn’t be able to even walk out the front door if it wasn’t for Dr. Denny’s magical adjustments. I was in a car accident that left me banged up and I’m talking pain. After a couple weeks I was able to do things I was doing before but better. Magic right? I have been meeting new people since the accident that don’t believe I was in the hospital just a month earlier. It’s all to do with Dr. Denny and Cory Cook her number one massage therapist. I am so lucky to have worked with this office. It’s calming and healing in nature and everyone is super friendly and deal with my odd sense of humor. I have even recommended another friend go and he is seeing the magic as well. I wouldn’t be back to me without their help.
P. S. She has this machine in the back that is frickin awesome… if I could get it down the stairs I would take it home with me… but then I would need an adjustment so I’ll keep the theft to a minimum.

Visiting this clinic is like being inoculated against aging.
Dr. Denny is compassionate, experienced, and highly knowledgeable. She has helped both me and my spouse to a breathtaking degree.
None of us is immortal, but Dr. Denny gives us a fighting chance at it. We give her our highest recommendation.

Dr. Denny has been a huge help in the short amount of time I’ve been going to see her. When I first arrived, I was in an extreme amount of pain and it hurt to move or breathe. She immediately knew what the problem was and corrected it. I immediately felt a hundred times better.
She offered me a reduced rate since I didn’t have health insurance — and were great working out a treatment plan that was affordable and that assessed my needs. I highly recommend her!!!

I’m new to Dr. Denny’s practice but I must say that I am impressed already. I liked that she really spent some time examining me and going over her concerns and recommendations. Indeed, in the first session, I learned things about my back and shoulders I didn’t know.
Here’s the thing I really appreciated, though, a treatment plan!
I have had decent to good chiropractic care in the past and but I have always felt that I had a hard time getting a straight answer … as to why the treatment was what it was and what it was supposed to do. I feel like chiropractors who I have seen in the past, perhaps not intentionally, expect you to accept the inherent value of chiropractic care and not ask too many questions about where the process is going. I am sure chiropractic care has such value … but, as a patient, I like to talk to a doctor and not a guru. With Dr. Denny … you get medical care, answers, and a plan … that’s a refreshing change.
Also, I have to also say that Cory at the front desk is friendly, helpful, super competent, and seems to be in constant motion … as he calls insurance companies, gives out paperwork, answers the phone, places reminder calls, and greets patients. It’s a dizzying pace.
All in all, I would say, for someone whose never been to a chiropractor, this place is the best I’ve seen for a first-​timer — you’ll feel very taken care of.
