Arroyo and Shpritz

Helaine is really great about educating her patients about what is going on in their body. Her level of knowledge and ability to explain the information is really admirable!
Not only is Helaine knowledage, but it is also very evident that she genuienly cares about her patients well being and their improvement.

I had shoulder and neck pain for months and saw two different chiropractors prior to going to Dr. Arroyo. I had minimal relief with the two prior chiropractors. I have had four adjustments with Dr. Arroyo and I am pain free. If you need a chiropractor Dr. Arroyo is the one to see. He and his staff are very friendly and helpful.

When I first went to Dr Arroyo about 8 years ago, I could barely walk. My muscles were so tight and my overall posture and flexibility so limited I was headed to a very painful place. Dr Arroyo changed all that. Immediately, he loosened up my aching psoas muscle and adjusted the surrounding area and my gait and pain level improved almost overnight.
I have always returned here, for maintenance or for flareups, and he has always treated me like family– and treated my musculoskeletal issues. There’s a reason many claim he’s the best Chiropractor in the city!

Dr arroyo, was treating me for something that he called reduction of neck mobility, so I went there and just he crack the neck and that is it we finish. So for that he charged like 120 and he did not offer of do another adjustments or simple to warm up the area with light. (the neck thing I can get it free with my family) So if you are just goin a 5 min. work then you should pay five minutes service. For me was useless so I found this lovely chiro in Berkeley with a real 30 min session warm up the joint and if was enough time he give a distress massage. He really was loving his work and doing it for love not just for money.

Dr. Shpritz has been seeing me for about a month and a half now and I’ve already been seeing results! I came to here with upper back and neck pain, and so far I’ve had a significant decrease of pain in both areas. She’s very attentive to my needs, gives me exercises and stretches to do at home, and always leaves me feeling better than when I entered her office! I can’t thank her enough for helping me!
Other pros are that I can book online, get appointment reminders to my email, and contact her through text. Perfect for someone who lives on their phone like myself :)

I made an appointment with Dr. Shpritz based on Unilocal reviews and location for some upper back/​neck pain that had been ongoing for months. I’ve been to see her 5 times and have seen significant improvement in the acute pain. She is precise and measured in her adjustments, and best of all friendly and professional. I got appointment times that were good for my work schedule, and she does text appointment reminders.
AND…for people who are worried about getting sucked into a never ended commitment, I felt she recommend reasonable and necessary treatment. After 5 weekly visits she’s recommended I switch to 1x per month due to the improvement I’ve seen, which seems spot on to me for the more mild pain that still exists that could benefit from some maintenance.

Dr. Helaine Shpritz has been treating my week back since 2008 and I’m a true believer in this form of back treatment. I used to go every 2 weeks and am now down to 1x a month because she’s helped me so much! Aside from the great bedside manners, she’s a gals gal and is so relatable!

Dr. Helaine Shpritz is amazing! I’ve been waiting to write this review as I think she’s SF’s best kept secret.
I am not a fan of chiropractic medicine and don’t like the idea of spine manipulation. My acupuncturist recommended that I see Dr. Shpritz for about 2 years. One morning, I woke up with a pinched nerve in my lower back. She was able to see me that same day! Since then, Dr. Shpritz has diagnosed a long time chronic injury that I have — no other doctor, physical therapist or sports medicine MD has been able to do so.
Dr. Shpritz’s approach to chiropractic is extremely gentle. She is not a DO that insists on manipulating the whole spine — only the areas that need gentle adjustment. I have never left feeling sore (as I had in the past) and she is not very aggressive. What I love about her is that Dr. Shpritz’s adjustments are small, but have huge and lasting impact. She will also give you lots of exercises, stretches and even visualizations. This is an amazing approach to chiropractic medicine as she does not simply focus on adjustments and alignment, but also on the musculoskeletal problem areas.
If you have chronic knee/​hip/​back/​anything pain, do yourself a favor and see her!

Amazing. Let me just say I’ve been struggling with pain in a variety of issues & Dr. Shpritz has been incredible! Today specifically she got my intensely stubborn shoulder to go back into its rightful place! We both exclaimed with victory! Not only is she extremely skilled bit she’s also incredibly warm. In fact, everyone there is extraordinary, I just can’t say enough about how wonderful they are!

I was recommended Dr. Shpritz by a friend and I could not be more happy with my choice to start seeing her. I have been seeing her for a little under a year now and have had a great experience every time I go in.
Prior to coming in I had been to several specialists and alternative therapies for the pains I was having with no luck in easing them. My case wasn’t a typical one that walks through the door, but she was up for the challenge of trying to find something that could help me to start feeling better.
She quickly and affectively evaluated me in our first consultation to setup a regiment to try to ease the pains I was having. In the beginning she was upfront that there was a possibility that it might not help as much as we’d like to see and made me feel ok with telling her if it wasn’t as I was having severe jaw pain from TMJ. Which isn’t something people typically work on nor really want to attempt to treat.
Since then I have had a vast reduction in pain in my problem areas, even ones I didn’t originally start coming in for. I’ve had neck, shoulder and hand pains for years that I had just gotten use to living with, which she narrowed in on them and now treats them as well.
Helaine is very easy to talk with and obviously cares about each of her patients. When giving treatment she is open to explain what she is doing if you are curious and typically has suggestions for easy things you can do at home in between appointments. Over all she is a delightful person with great energy. I feel quite lucky and am incredibly thankful to have found her.
Aside from Dr. Shpritz everyone else that works in the office are always friendly when you come in making the experience the complete package. I cannot more highly recommend coming here if you are in need.

I started seeing Dr Shpritz last year when I felt… broken! I could not bend down and touch my toes and was in constant pain. After a few sessions I started to notice a difference, and now i am completely pain free. To top it off, I am now pregnant and also running after a two year old every day, which would normally mean I am having back issues, but again, I feel amazing! She is very knowledgable and would help me understand what was going on with my body. Not only did she have the magic touch, but was full of great recommendations. She told me Pilates would be very beneficial to me and boy was she right! She also introduced me to a woman who specializes in BodyWork and that was also a wonderful experience. Every time I would try something she recommended I would feel even better. She liked to call the chiropractic work, bodywork, and Pilates the «trifecta» :)
If I was not moving to San Rafael I would continue to see her every couple of weeks for maintenance. Thankfully she has recommended a chiropractor that is in Marin, and based on her past recommendations, I’m sure she is leading me in the right direction. Thank you so much Dr. Shpritz!

I had dr Dr. Helaine Shpritz in the past after I started feeling some back pain, I am very pleased with her. I highly recommend her for anyone plus she is super lovely and friendly.

A million Trillin Stars for this practice that has saved me after being hit by a car in a crosswalk. When I first came here I was in tears and desperation from the daily pain and agony from my injuries from the collision. In a short period of time I am mobile and am starting to be able to smell again (which the neurologists at SFGH said I never would again and hadn’t for the past 6 months!)
I also can’t express enough the kindness and generosity and positive feeling that is experienced here. No wonder why they are rated so highly.
Dr.Shpritz and Dr. Lawlor have been a godsend to me! They have combined their treatment to help me.
I had never heard of Upper Cervical Care before meeting Dr. Lawlor and now would recommend it to everyone and am a huge believer as it has helped change my life quickly!
Dr.Shpritz has great style, attitude, and energy as well as does more than just chiropractic. She sent me home w Qi gong moves and tapping exercises that work.
Dr.Lawlor is full of energy and confidence and excitement in his work and breaks down scientifically why and how what he is doing works.

I’ve never been to a chiropractor that actually gives you results. I’ve always walked out of an office feeling the same way I felt when I went into the office and that’s exactly what Dr. Shpritz doesn’t do!
I went in to see Dr. Shpritz with a shooting pain in my right leg, not knowing what I had done. Dr. Shpritz easily pointed out that it was a pulled groin muscle (I should have gone to her 3 weeks ago, which is how long I was limping for). During my first appointment, Dr. Shpritz made an adjustment and showed me a few exercises to do, which helped TREMENDOUSLY! For the past 3 weeks, I would normally wake up and have to limp out of bed and so far it’s only been one week and I can already walk normal without thinking about my leg that has been hurting for long.
I highly recommend Dr. Shpritz as she very easily pointed out what was wrong and was able to get right to the point.

I stumbled upon her after my Chiropractor at the time said that basically I would never fully recover. I felt like I needed to find someone that believed in their work enough to help me fully. Upon googling award winning Chiropractors, I found this office and called and spoke with her. I am thankful every single day for the grace that guided me to her healing hands.
Dr. Helaine Shpritz is a brilliant Doctor. She also happens to be a total ray of sunshine. A rare & winning combination if you ask me. She is warm, inviting and sharply tuned into all the avenues of helping you in the best way possible. She is aware of many modalities within the Chiropractic spectrum and she will treat you accordingly.
Regardless of how I feel upon entering her care, I always leave the office with a new bounce to my step, feeling calmer, happier and with a smile on my face. Over time she has been helping me to shed the compounded pain & constant spinal discomfort to experience new ease, flexibility and peace in my spine. Her touch has strengthened my spine, my back and my core in ways that overflow into my daily experience. I am stronger, happier and more grounded now. I’ve been seeing Dr. Arroyo for a little over a year. My previous chiropractor moved his business and recommended that I start seeing Dr. Arroyo. I was wise to have followed his suggestion.
One thing that I appreciate about Dr. Arroyo is that he always extremely thorough and always takes his time to make sure that I understand everything that’s going on. Furthermore, all my appointments with him have always been on time (it might help that I try to schedule morning appointments). Lastly, Dr. Arroyo is an overall great guy and I feel that he genuinely cares for his patients.

I was looking for a chiropractor for a few months, and after scrolling Unilocal for the name of a great doctor who is also in my medical network I came across Dr. Helaine Shpritz. She is fantastic! I like that she has a holistic approach to chiropractic care. Of course she is technically knowledgeable and able to explain what is going on with your body without sounding too clinical or removed, but she is really down to earth and looks at the larger picture instead of simply adjusting you and only focusing on the issue she is treating. Plus she’s really personable and great to talk to.
If you are looking for a smart, down to earth, compassionate chiropractor who is easily accessible then look no further!

I started a new job about a year ago and a month later was having terrible neck pain, apparently I wasn’t sitting «ergonomically»… I was willing to just deal with it but my wife insisted I try a Chiropractor. Well not A Chiropractor… specifically Dr. Shpritz!
I went in and felt instant relief. I have been going monthly since and have gotten to the point of very rarely having any pain at all.
