History

Established in 2012.

In January of 2012, Yvette decided to start the New Year off right, and went ahead and started SF Candy Bar. «While coming up with the candy bar buffet business, I had the idea of bringing the candy store to the event. I want adult guests to feel like they stepped into an oasis that brings them back to childhood, and I want kids to feel like they can have the same amount of fun as they would at Willy Wonka’s Chocolate factory!»

Business Owner

Yvette Mannion, owner of SF Candy Bar, worked in the legal industry for over 9 years, and decided that adding to the enjoyment at special events was a better fit for her. Over the years working at law firms, as a paralegal, she always aspired to do something that could give something positive back, and make people happy by adding to the pleasure of people’s lives. In 2010, she invested in a photo booth, and simply loved watching guests have a blast engaging in photo booth activities at weddings, birthdays, and corporate events. Eventually, after experiencing the joy of providing guests with her photo booth services, she decided to add to her services, and create another business called SF Candy Bar.

SF Candy Bar is TOP SHELF! I’ve been to a number of events and have kept seeing SF Candy Bar provide candy services. Their presentations never cease to amaze me. They have high quality displays and the candy is always delicious!
I had a chance to talk w/​the owner, Yvette, and I have to say that you won’t find a business owner who is as enthusiastic about her product than she is. You can really tell she takes pride and ownership of her work.
I would definitely recommend SF Candy Bar to help with an event!

Love candy bar, this company. Yvette is so easy to work with and also very professional. She can make things happen for you but you need to know what you want, concept, budget. Any events /​weddings? If you’re looking for a candy bar, look no further than SF Candy Bar! Yvette’s candy bars are absolutely amazing! I work in the wedding industry and have had the pleasure of working with Yvette on several of my client’s weddings and now my personal wedding. I knew once I began my wedding Yvette’s candy bar was a must! I’ve had the pleasure of seeing many of her setup’s that are literally jaw dropping beautiful… who knew candy could look so good?! She does an amazing job matching candy to your wedding/​event colors, order’s high quality product and her jars and vision are top notch! I’ve seen a lot of «do it yourself» candy bars and there is a huge difference in buying mismatched jars, cheap candy and asking your bridesmaid to set things up for you than what Yvette offers. SF Candy Bar was the perfect wedding favor that not only guests enjoyed but added a beautiful and interactive element to our wedding.

Yvette did a wonderful job for my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah celebration. And that’s saying something as the theme for her party was CANDY. Yvette put together an awesome spread that was very appealing for both adults and kids plus she introduced me to the event coordinator who designed the centerpieces for the event. They designed centerpieces that were floral with vases filled with different types of candy. It was all around a great experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Yvette again or recommend her to anyone!

Yvette is amazing to work with! We hired her to put together the candy bar for our wedding last Saturday and it was truly the attraction of our reception. I saw a number of guests hovering around the table throughout the night and received several compliments the next day, even questions about where she ordered the candy from.
This was probably my favorite wedding project because it was about candy! I spent 30 minutes talking to Yvette about my favorite candies, our wedding colors, and the like. She was even able to accommodate gluten-​free candies since I have Celiac!
The candy bar was beautiful and delicious. Yvette put together a floral centerpiece that matched our floral arrangements perfectly. She even made signage that went perfectly with our wedding invitation. Yvette is truly doing what she loves and it reflects in her work. Thank you for making our wedding so memorable!

WOW! A great overall experience is to say the least!
As an event planner, I am always on the look out for solid vendors to work with. Dependable, able to respond to emails and a true concern of the final result of the event are all great qualities and Yvette seriously exceeded all my expectations.
From the first inquiry, she was SO helpful! She went over all of the package options with us and and even worked with our constricting budget. She offered us a «set-​up yourself» style bar to keep the price low (only available for small parties.) We were able to create a package that met our needs and budget. Pick up was a cinch and set up was so organized I didn’t even have to think about what would go where. Although I did add some cupcakes to the same table and didn’t end up going with the suggested set-​up she sent over, I can totally see someone taking advantage of the suggested set up.
Needless to say, the candy bar was a hit! The hardest part from the whole experience was keeping the youth at the event away from the candy bar before we opened it!
I will definitely be calling Yvette up again in the future!

Yvette set up a candy bar at my fundraiser for the thalassemia program at Children’s Hospital Oakland «The Evening Under the Stars» at Chabot Space and Science Center. The SF Candy Bar was the highlight of the night. EVERYONE raved about it — from guests to staff, and it appealed to all ages. Yvette is professional, reliable and a genuinely kind person. She is so easy to work with and provided exceptional customer service. The candy was tasty, fresh and colorful and her homemade cake pops were out-​of-​this world delicious. I LOVE YVETTE AND CANDY! As I was looking for ideas to do for a friend’s birthday party, I came across the SF Candy Bar site. After speaking to Yvette who has so many creative ideas, we went ahead and had an amazing event due to the candy buffet.
We had rented out a place to do a movie screening and her candy was the icing on the cake! It reminds me of a more elevated experience of the exciting times as a kid I went to Toon’s in South San Francisco to Sweet Factory as a teen.
Can’t wait to think of future events to incorporate SF Candy Bar into the next bridal showers, birthday parties, and baby showers.

Yvette is a sweetheart and was a pleasure to work with. She recently did a candy bar and photo booth at my wedding and I received many compliments from all of my guests about what a huge hit both the candy bar and photo booth were. Yvette is a great listener and was able to incorporate my wedding colors, flowers, and even my invitation logos into the candy bar and photo booth. The candy choices were perfect for people of all ages, and the layout and centerpiece matched my wedding décor perfectly. I cant say enough about the photo booth, it was a hit with people of all ages! Yvette provided uplighting that matched the lighting of my reception, and even designed the background of the photo paper to include the logo of our wedding invitations and our names and wedding date. The best part was seeing my father and mother in law in the photo booth playing with all of her props! At the end of the night Yvette provided me with a photo book including all of the photos people took throughout the night and even had them sign funny little messages next to their photos. I cant say enough great things about SF Candy Bar and Perspective Photo Booth, and I would definitely recommend Yvette to anyone!

Yvette’s candy bar was setup at an event, and it was a hit from start to finish. The custom design work looked very impressive and the overall presentation stood out from the other attractions. Guests gathered around the candy bar throughout the night as candy flowed and flowed from what seemed like a never-​ending supply.
The candy bar is functional enough that it could have served as the standalone piece of the event. However, couple SF Candy Bar with a good dj and a photo booth, and now you’ve taken your event to the next level. CONGRATULATIONS!
And to top it all off, Yvette is an amazing listener with event planning experience, industry connections, and a creative drive. I highly recommend you give her a call for your next event!

I saw SF Candy Bar at an event at the Claremont in Berkeley and the setup was gorgeous! There were sooo many good looking candies too. It was hard to not dive in and go fat kid on everything. I would totally use this company if I needed a really awesome looking (and of course TASTING) candy bar.

The best!!! I never knew how much an good candy bar could make a wedding such a success! The layout of the candy bar was so classy and matched our theme so well. The choices in candy were right on and we had people scraping the bottom of the bowls for every last scrap of candy. We couldn’t get enough compliments on how nice the candy bar was.
Yvette is such a talented designer when it comes to putting one of these together. She is so easy to work with during planning. For those who have done the wedding thing, you know how important it is to have an easy going vendor. If theres one thing i can suggest to your readers, listen to her when it comes to the amount of candy she thinks you need, unfortunately, we ran out. Should have listened to Yvette.
