I bought a second hand fancy watch from a jeweler in East coast. I was not 100% sure, if it’s authentic. Paul was very helpful and educated me a bit about my watch. He was friendly and nice.

I came across this little gem of a place by chance and I couldn’t be happier. I inherited a Patek Philippe and didn’t know much about it. Paul went above and beyond! His honesty, personality, and professionalism were exactly what I was looking for going into this knowing as little as I did. I ended up having the watch appraised, cleaned, and serviced. Coming from someone who didn’t own a watch before inheriting this one… I ended up walking away buying a Rolex as well. It was a wonderful day and I will always remember it. I will always turn to Paul and his excellent staff in the future.

Great place to have your wrist watch serviced! Needed a battery for my 21 year old Tag Heuer so I stopped by. Since I wear my watch sailing, I’m really picky about who opens it up to replace the battery. If not done properly and with care, the water proof ‘ness can be compromised. Paul Seregin not only replaced the battery but also performed a cleaning service very inexpensively. The watch was really dirty but looks great now! Also, Paul has a wonderful sense of humor which makes him a lot of fun to be around!

Sold a watch through Paul and would highly recommend the shop. Paul is a gentleman and gave me a great price. He also fixed the deployant clasp on on of my other watches for free!

My Omega automatic watch had been running slow for a long time — took it to one of these tiny one-​man repair shops (twice) and it would run better for about a month and then lose time again. So eventually I gave up on that and took it to Seregin’s. They kept the watch for several weeks and charged me several hundred dollars, but the watch keeps perfect time now (its been 5 months since I got it back from them). Lots of places can change a watch battery but there are very few who can deal with mechanical watches and know what they are doing. Take your mechanical watch here and be confident that it is in good hands.

I was admittedly a bit nervous about putting my 1965 Rolex Daytona Cosmograph (6239 sstl) into the hands of a new watchmaker. For years I had trusted Phil Serkus of Ronley Jewelers (Sunset store) to keep both my wife’s and my Rolex working perfectly. When Phil left Ronley I though I was lost… until I learned Phil had joined Paul Seregin’s shop in The City. A quick Google and a Unilocal and things started to look up. Apparently my watch would be in the hands of two of the best and most knowledgable professionals in the business.
So, Seregin’s it would be! This past week I picked up the Daytona after a complete service and cosmetic polish. The work was beautiful and the watch runs perfectly. 5 stars all the way. Incidentally, Paul’s prices are very good — no complaints in that department at all!
It was a first class experience from start to finish. I would recommend Paul and Phil to anyone with a special timepiece… they’re the best.

I have 2 older Heuer watches (from 1989) and had the batteries changed by Paul. One of the two became a «problem child», but Paul stuck with it and got it working great. I’m sure the situation was trying his patience, but he pulled it together without any complaints. Thank you Paul!

Paul was wonderful! I have a Rolex that was purchased on ebay and wanted to have it authenticated and just checked out generally. I went in knowing little-​to-​noting about Rolex’s (aside from the cosmetic features that I wanted) and came out knowing so much about the watch I have and also what to look for in a future watch. Paul also put his findings in writing. He extended my band so that my watch fit better. All of this for $ 40. I plan to now return the watch that was bought and get a watch through Paul. They have a beautiful selection of watches and are so thorough and professional. So much appreciated!

I have been to several high end pre-​owned watch stores in SF and Seregin’s is the best.
Paul is terrifically knowledgeable, friendly, and expert at servicing. I took my Rolex to him for non-​routine service (that is, it had some issues which required fixing) and he returned it to me on schedule, looking and functioning good as new, for a price lower than I would expect.
He’s also got a number of beautiful watches for sale at competitive prices, and can expect my patronage next time I’m in the market.

I have a beautiful Tag watch that was given to me by my father 9 years ago. Recently it had stopped working properly and I researched who would be a reliable jeweler to repair it. This watch is very special to me and when I inquired about what they could do, Paul took the time to explain what they would do and what the expected results would be. They were timely, reasonably priced and most importantly, my watch came back looking as if it was brand new. I highly recommend this buisness.

Best place in town. Whether you need a new watch or you need repairs done this is the place to go. The staff is very knowledgeable, professional and polite, and their prices are fair.

Came in to have links taken out. Charges $ 20 (highway robbery), then when I said it was too tight, he said he’d charge another $ 5 to put one back in. Condescending and rude. Avoid.

this guy is the real deal. Brought a watch in which I was purchasing from a private party. There was absolutely nothing in it for him, but he took the time to look at it and let me know of its condition. His wife is equally as nice (and beautiful).

It’s difficult to assess whether it offers a «good deal» on vintage timepieces, given the unique qualities of each individual sale. For its other items and services, however, it’s a pricey store even by California standards.

Great service. Professional, prompt, and knowledgable. The only reason for the 4 stars is because it seemed to be a bit pricey. Everything else is excellent.

I needed a watchband for a Cartier watch that requires a band with little notches in the lug. My online search showed that there was not a lot of choice and what there was — in the range of $ 300 – 400. Wanting more immediate gratification, I tried Unilocal and saw good reviews for this place. I telephoned when they opened (on a Sunday) and Paul told me that they might have an actual Cartier band that fit it (they did, but not a color I liked), but Paul said they could adapt any others that I liked.
I wound up buying exactly what I wanted but paying far less than the actual Cartier watchband prices.
They said it would be an hour to fit and adapt the band i bought, but then called me after half an hour that it was ready. They could have let me just come back in an hour or the following day but called me and gave me a choice.
Exceptional customer service, quality merchandise, excellent pricing and they never make you feel less important as a customer because you have come in for a watchband instead of to purchase a watch. I will be taking all my watches in here when they need service or watchbands. I can highly recommend it.

I scored a super-​sweet deal on eBay for a Cartier watch but I’m no fool…
Thanks to the eBay Buyer Protection Policy, I would get my money back if the watch was a fake… which meant I needed someone to authenticate my watch
And you can forget about Cartier lifting a finger to help you out. I find it extremely odd that for a business that has been around since 1847, they have no interest in protecting their reputation & absolutely refuse to authenticate anything
Last time I tried taking something over to Cartier for authentication, they referred me to Sothebys… really!
I mean, even if they charged an authentication fee, it would be a great revenue stream for them… again, in business since 1847. You’d think there *might* be a few «genuine» pieces that have stood the test of time but have found new homes & those homes would like to verify whether they’re truly Cartier… however, there is zero interest… okay, off soapbox!
Good thing Swiss Baume /​Seregin’s is around b/​c they DO happen to offer authentication services for Cartier watches!
Cost was $ 40 & they took my watch right away while I was there — verifying everything from the bracelet, the screws, the case, the dial, the internal mechanics /​movement… this was a very thorough examination
And with 35 years of expertise, they know all the ins & outs & what constitutes genuine articles over fakes
Final verdict? My watch was the real deal — score on that & double score on finding Swiss Baume /​Seregin’s
And if that weren’t great enough, they also have a wonderful selection of watches as well as vintage jewelry — I saw a particular enamel frog ring that I totally want to go back & check out! See yall soon!

I got a Burberry watch for Christmas at Nordstrom. I went to the one at San Francisco Centre to get it resized. The saleswoman could not do it herself and rather than risk damage, she sent me to someone who specializes in watches and Nordstrom fit the bill for it too.
Seregin’s is located about two blocks from the mall. It is located right next to the Hertz door inside a building with other little shops.
I walked in on a Sunday (a day when they are usually closed), but they were open because of the holidays. It took no longer than ten minutes and I was out of there. You could tell that the man who did it took pride in his craft. He was also very nice and helpful.
Nordstrom sends their customers here for their watches. If Nordstrom’s uses them, you know that they are good.

Like all of the other reviews, I will start off with saying that you will not find a more professional staff than Paul and everyone else at Seregin’s.
I bought a used watch on ebay and wanted to authenticate it. I did a Unilocal search and first place that came up was Seregin’s. It’s located inside the Mason and O’Farrell garage next to the other shops. Anyway, I was greeted and assisted as soon as I came in and was told Paul was with a customer but I was next in line to see him. Anyway, he did a certification and gave me the good news that the watch was authentic. He charged me $ 40 for the written authentication and a test that he performed on the watch. But what really impressed me was that he gave me 2 tips on how to keep the watch in tip top shape. He said most people that owned those types of watches don’t know how to take care of them properly. Those tips were priceless.
