I drop off my rx8 here for recall about airbags. I don’t drive my car but I told them When I made appointment it will done same day they said yes on Friday I came on Monday. They took my car 3 hours later they called me your car ready yo pickup but they said your car didn’t fix yet. We will let you know when parts available it’s not my problem worst customer service ever

I am changing my rating from 2 to 4 stars. I deducted 1 star because of my initial bad experience. The combined efforts of Mitch (sales department), Erich and Matt (service department) insured that all of my problems were addressed and remedied above and beyond my expectations. Thank You Mazda Sales and Service !!
The Jury is still out. Love the car but the post sale service is very disappointing.
Made the deal for my new Mazda cx-​5 with the grand touring package that includes among other things built in GPS.
Day of closing I showed up at appointed time with my check and started to close the deal. It took a couple of hours. When the deal was all signed and the salesman took me to my new car he immediately apologized because they did not «have time» to clean it up properly or fill up the tank. I had time to go to the bank and sit around for 2 hours, they should have had time to deliver a clean car to me. There were scuff marks in the interior and the exterior was dirty. Only ¹⁄₃ of a tank of gas. He did help me set up the blue tooth and the radio. The GPS was different story.
There was no GPS card/​chip. He promised to get me one in a couple of days (as well as an owners manual !?) He would call as soon as they came in.
A week later still no call. I went out of town for New Years. While in New Orleans I received a message saying my GPS was in. When I returned to pick it up I thought I would walk in and they would pop it in and I would be on my way. No such luck. I arrived to a different crew of salesman. When I explained my situation they were courteous and they tried. I sat for about 20 minutes waiting for a call back from their parts department who were looking for my part. I tired of waiting and drove to the service center myself.
The parts department was one guy talking on the phone as I stood there. He did not look up to acknowledge my presence one time during his 5 minute call. It took another 5 minutes for him to locate my part. He handed me a small box. I told him I expected it to be installed. He sent me to the service desk.
The service desk had two guys. I received immediate attention. We went right to my car and popped the chip/​card in… Nothing. Tried a few more time … No Luck. He told me to take the card home and log on to some site and download the info on myself. Unacceptable !! Now I have return on Monday for service so they can remedy the problem.
I have to take more of my time for something that should have been done before I picked up my car.
Last bitches: No Owners Manuel was provided. I was supposed get one in a couple of days. 3 weeks later not a word about it. Come on guys, I can get same day delivery from Amazon !! I inquired about a spare key. Salesman said $ 280 !!? Then when I was at parts department and asked, he said it would be another couple of hundred to program it. That is ridiculous. $ 200 to program a key ?

I was driving a Vw E-​golf and was running low on range when I stopped in to charge up. Everyone was friendly and accommodating to my needs.
If need to purchase a new or used car I will turn to them… true professionals!

Had a couple of horrible experiences with Serramonte VW, so decided to try this place out even though their location is a bit less convenient for me (I live on the southern edge of SF). Was a little disappointed that even though I filled out an online appointment form and included specifics of my appointment (needed new key + 10k service), they hadn’t ordered my key. Frank at the service desk apologized and handled the situation well. He gave me a good time estimate for when I could come back to get my car (Serramonte just kept me waiting for 4 hours, telling me my car would be ready ‘soon’). Frank quoted me at $ 350 – 400 for the key + reprogram, which was less than Serramonte’s quote of $ 500.
Total bill came out even less than quoted, car was ready to go earlier than expected, and overall experience with Frank and the other Royal employees was FAR less painful and more professional than anything I’ve experienced at Serramonte. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Who would rate that shitplace 5 starts? Those reviews are either bought or written by relatives of the crooks that work there.
This is how it went down this Monday — short story:
1. Called them to ask if they had the car I needed — Sergey picked up the phone and promised to go «find the car» and call back in 5 – 10 minutes. Obviously, he was never going to call back.
2. Called them again in half an hour. Some other dude picked up, apologized for Sergey and promised he would have the car I asked about parked in front of them in TWENTY minutes. I asked if he really had that car — he said it was in warehouse and he would drive it to the sales office in 20 minutes flat. I already knew that the car wouldn’t be there, but since the place was a short BART ride from downtown SF — I decided to visit them anyways.
3. The same Persian person that was on the phone met me and we sat down in his «office». The real show began :)) He first called somebody «at the warehouse» and asked if the car was PDI’d yet and then asked how long it would take to get it prepped… Then he turned to me and showed his cell phone with text messages he supposedly had sent to the «warehouse» right after our conversation… Then he called «warehouse» again and confirmed the car would be ready in (now!) 90 minutes. On and on and on, that continued for a while.
4. Showtime! He proceeded straight to paperwork BS — «We can do paperwork first and then I will have car for you». He repeated it like 10 times, at least. «We can do paperwork and I’ll give you a used car that you can drive home and pick up your car tomorrow morning». Who buys into such a ridiculous scam nowadays?
5. I really got bored and told him I would talk real things when I see the very car I wanted to get (not «something similar»). He then affirmed me he had that car available. I asked where it was… — «Don’t worry, I have the car, just do the paperwork»…
6. I stood up and said that I would come back tomorrow morning and he replied with this MAGICAL question: — «HOW CAN I TRUST YOU THAT YOU COME BACK?»… O M F G.
7. When I was leaving the building he shouted at my back their standard shit — «do you own any car now? how much money down…»
8. Amazing — he sent two text messages that evening — see below.

Conclusion: disgusting.

When I found myself in search of a car on the quick, VW San Francisco was extremely accommodating, understanding, and authentically interested in making sure I got the best deal. I got exactly what I was looking for. James Jamous was my rep and helped me through every step of the way, seamlessly. Chris Mohr is super thorough and helped take me step by step through all the fine print to make sure it made perfect sense to me.
If you are looking for a VW, I would highly recommend.

I was in the market to lease a new Golf so I requested a quote on their website. Within two hours, James Jamous gave me a call to see what exactly I was looking for and schedule a time to stop by the dealership. He made sure to have different options and colors available to take a look at. He answered all my questions I had and was well-​informed with the car and all of it’s features.
Throughout the whole process, James was patient & worked with me to get the price I had in mind for my lease. Eric, the manager, also gave me a fair deal with trading in my Jetta to put towards the new Golf. Chris in finance explained the different maintenance options to add on to the lease and was very thorough with explains the paperwork, etc.
Overall, I had a great experience and I am so happy with my new Golf! Thank you, James! You rock! I highly recommend working with James & the team at Royal if you’re in the market for a new VW.

I was able to take advantage of VWs sign and drive event. Sergey Chulikanov helped me and I can’t thank him enough. He kept me informed every step in the approval process and Eric Warren the sales manager helped make it happen. I couldn’t be more happy or thankful for my brand new 2016 VW Jetta! Their finance manager Jonathan Higgins hooked it up too!

These guys are jokes. Poor service. They even called to ask me to give them a perfect review to VW after the sale. Pfft yeah right.
They got my address wrong and even the VIN number wrong on documentation. Not even sure I own the car now – I can’t even explain how much shit this put me through – got stung with over $ 200 ordering an extra key using the wrong VIN number. Would be nice if you offered to pay for it.
