History

Established in 1968.

All Pets Hospital was built in 1968 by Dr. Frank Miller, who obtained local celebrity status in the 60’s and 70’s based on the popularity of his San Francisco Chronicle column «Wonderful World of Animals» (lauded in the early 70’s as «the most widely syndicated pet column in the world»).

Purchased in 1985 by Dr. Daniel Hershberger, he immediately went to work remodeling the hospital and expanded the practice to include exotic medicine with the arrival of Dr. Alex Herman in 1997, Dr. Nicola Gillespie in 2005, and Dr. Vered Bar in 2009.

In 1998 the hospital converted the top floor unit into a separate exotic ward, complete with the first «hot room» in any Bay Area veterinary hospital.

In December 2006, All Pets Hospital became accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association. AAHA-accredited practices are truly distinctive in providing the highest quality care for pets. AAHA standards are recognized around the world as the benchmark for quality care in veterinary medicine.
