Description

Specialties

We offer float therapy with four state-of-the art float pods (aka sensory deprivation or isolation tanks). For an hour, you’ll effortlessly float in a super saturated solution of epsom salt and water. It’s kept right at skin temperature, so after a few minutes, you’ll lose track of where the body ends and the water begins. This allows you to transcend all bodily distraction and discomfort, which typically provides deep relaxation, chronic pain relief, the feeling of euphoria, elevated states of consciousness, and myriad health benefits.

Our standard session plays soothing music for the first 10 and last 5 minutes to ease you in and out of the float, but we can also play music throughout or play it off your device. The pod also has a light button, so you can illuminate the interior of the pod at any time.

History

Established in 2015.

Meet the Business Owner

Michael G.

Business Owner

I first floated in 2010 and instantly fell in love with it. I had tried to meditate several times with little success, but when I tried floating, I had the kind of inner-stillness I always knew was possible, but could never reach. When I got out and walked around, my body felt aligned, everything felt lighter, and it was like the volume on my mind was turned down. I knew right away this was something I’d do for a long time. About a year after that first float, my sister and I went on a trip to Peru to partake in a few ayahuasca ceremonies and I was inspired to build a tank for myself. When I returned, I built it in her garage, but was still at my 9 – 5 that was taking all of my energy. In the summer of 2013, I decided to quit and backpack SE Asia to gain some perspective. I had never felt so free and realized I needed start a float spa in SF. I came back, found pods, and hit the ground running. We opened on April 23rd, 2015 and I couldn’t be prouder of the space and service we provide.
