Come on by and we will not disappoint. Elegant Nails Salon was founded by Triss Tran in 1991. A graduate of Miss Marty’s School of Beauty in San Francisco, Triss received her Cosmetologist License in 1989. After graduation, she worked as a hairstylist in Berkeley for one and a half years. She then decided to start Elegant Nails Salon in 1991. We recently celebrated our 23rd year in business.

Triss’ goal is to ensure that any client leaving her salon does so with a smile of satisfaction. Triss and her team’s expertise have led to salon reviews on Allure and San Francisco Magazine. Triss’ specialties are Eyebrow Waxing and Tinting, Brazilian Waxing, OPI/​Shellac/​Gelish/​Axxium Lacquer, Organic Pink and White, Acrylic Full set and Fill, Eyelash Perm and Tinting. The Salon also carries over 350 Gel colors from OPI, Shellac, Gelish and Axxium for clients to choose from.

Triss is a Master in her field!!! A couple years ago I had a toe that lost its nail. Seeing it takes forever for it to grow back and I love my sandals I needed a healthy solution to fix the problem. After calling around to several nail places and noone being able to help me I called Elegant Nails and from the very first phone call with Tish she explained how she can fix it where it would look like a real nail. And she has been doing the job since. I love going to a place where you are taken care of so well it feels like home. I look forward to see her with other customers because she is as caring to them as she is to me. My nails are in good hands and so am I…

Great service from Triss and Ted. I came to Triss with literally no nails months ago and she put acrylic on them which forced them to grow out so I would pick at them (a nasty habit I grew up with). My nails finally grew out and I’ve been back to Trish for gel nails several times. Great looking nails, great service, and I love their little Pomeranian Bambi who likes to hang out with us while we get our nails did ;)
I also appreciate that both Triss and her husband have great memory, and when I come back in they ask me questions about things I mentioned when I was in last. I live 2 blocks away and consider this my only nail salon in SF.

I’ve been to many nail salons in San Francisco, but none of them have blown me away by their service. Elegant Nails, however, impressed me so much I had to write a review.
The owner, Triss, took me after a short 15 minute wait (I hadn’t made a reservation, so I was expecting to wait a bit when I saw she had customers already). I came in for a simple mani pedi, and I wasn’t disappointed. The selection of colors was enormous, but I went with my safe choice of Big Apple Red on both my hands and feet.
The spa chair costs a bit extra, but I gave it a whirl (no pun intended). For $ 30 before tip, given the excellent service I received, it was a good price. While Triss began work on my hands after she finished her client, my feet were taken care of by Tammy. She came over a bit after Triss had already started.
The service extends beyond hands and feet, however. Triss and co. look to make sure your experience is pleasant by offering tea/​water. They even let me play with their little Pomeranian while I waited for 15 min. Will definitely come back when I have time after a long day at work.

I have been a customer of Elegant Nails for over three years now and it is my exclusive go-​to choice for a great mani pedi on top of total relaxation. Being a big boy, I love my big-​ass spa chair that massages while I am being pampered. In addition to the expert treatments (yes, I’ve even had my brows done) the best part of Elegant Nails is the incredible staff. They are all so kind, so sweet and accommodating that my every two week visit is pure joy.
Triss goes out of her way to ensure my comfort and satisfaction and is so flexible when changes in my schedule come up. Now, I don’t get color or acrylic fancy designs, just a basic mani pedi. OK, but there was that one time last year during the World Series when I just knew if I got orange and black Giants logos on both thumbs that we would win. Let’s just say it worked! I can’t imagine going to a different nail spa because in addition to doing incredible work, Triss treats me as if I were a guest in her own home. I’m hooked.

I am originally from Germany and have gel nails and needed to find a salon which offer gel as well. It was not easy to find one until my friend and I found this little cute place. We went in this salon really late about 6:30 pm and Triss (the owner) welcomed us really friendly. She told us we could get nails directly — and we got one. She worked really well and thorough. She has taken time for us, even though we were so late there. We met her husband and everyone were so nice, friendly and helpful. I love my glitter gel nails and I’ll come again!

WHERE TO BEGIN! Honestly so bad I walked out without even finishing my nails, although I did pay, with the tip includes, on her behalf. First, I had to get acrylics for a photoshoot. I asked if I did them, supposedly they did. They are ALL uneven, crooked, and not matching the other. After they began working on me for about 30 minutes, someone else walked in who they proceed to work on as I waited for at least 15 minutes. While waiting a small dog runs out and begins barking, not only annoying but VERY unsanitary. That wasn’t the only unsanitary moment of this hellish experience. Also the acrylic liquid used on me was poured back into the main bottle, twice! Then, one of my tips were very broken looking, like they file way to much off the side, instead of putting on a new tip they just used the gel to fix, which will break within a day for there is no structure holding it. When they worked on me they were rough, hateful, and just rude; this was even before I HAD to say something about the broken tip!!! When the nails were all ‘finished’, before being painted, I proceeded to pay… she had charged an extra 5 then what was stated on board. I pointed out the fact, which she returned to say the 5 dollars was for TIP!!! TIP!
not only was the place rude, horrible, and slow; but also unsanitary.

My first time being here at Elegant Nails Salon, and it could be considered as the best experience so far. I don’t want to be exaggerated but this place is just simply perfect. Triss, Tammy and Timmy were super nice and friendly, the smiles were always on there lips. My nails were done quick and neat, no pain whatsoever. When they were doing my nails, I felt like they were doing some art work, so patient and meticulously. They did my nails because customers’s satisfactions are their priority, not because I paid them so you wont be regretted coming here. I’m a pretty picky person but this place just wowed me. Highly recommend!

Me and a bunch of friends were visiting sanfran and we Unilocaled for this salon. Great place, clean and bright. My friends loved this place, especially my gf. She was taken care by Triss, Triss’s an expert, she was very understanding and nice. Strongly recommended. I also heard that tami and other ladies are good too.

This salon is fantastic! I like to get a deal so during my visit to San Francisco I wandered around looking for the cheapest price for a mani/​pedi combo and I found it here. Usually with prices you get what you pay for so a cheaper price would indicate a subpar product or inferior service. Neither is true in this case. For only $ 30 I got a mani and pedi with a massage chair and whirlpool foot bath. I had two people working on me and they did an excellent job. It was the best mani/​pedi I have ever received. I used to go to a place in Orlando and the lady would paint outside of my nails leaving a finished product which looked like a blind person or a 5 year old had painted my nails. Everyone at this salon was nice and they even gave me free tea during my service. Wonderful and I will be back on my next visit to San Fran :-)

After getting gel, had to go back twice in one week to get them fixed from peeling off. I expect gel to last at least two weeks.
Also the massage sucked. S not worth it when there’s a hundred other nail places within blocks. Don’t waste your time or money here!

I love these ladies! They always do such a great job on my fingers and toes! Like Triss, the owner, I am an avid Giants fan– she has created some really fun orange and black designs for me. I appreciate her artistry, and their professionalism and cleanliness. She and Tammy are so sweet and accommodating. Highly recommend!

After a second visit, service is still wonderful as always but I noticed there were more tiny bubbles on my nails after the final gel coat. Not sure if it’s from OPI gel polish or just lack of attention. I’d go back only. if I was in the area.

Nice cozy place. Really friendly. They were able to take me last minute and squeezed my pedi in. $ 20 for a spa pedicure. It’s close by, so will definitely be back!
