He was referred by my friend, who has 2 properties managed by Joe. I went to Joe mainly because I trust him that he can find good tenant. He is indeed very thorough in his criteria. He is also on top of the market and he rented my place at a very good value. He is also very fast in responding to our emails and he is very accessible by phone. He gave me good advise on schedules. I can not be happier! If there is one regret, I would say I wish I could meet him in person-:)

This is the second time we utilized their services to assist in the leasing of our rental property. We were in the process of a major remodel when we had Joe come out to the property. He made some important suggestions regarding some design changes that better utilized the space. He was spot on the suggested rental value and we were able to get the property leased within a week of finishing the remodel. They provided all of the supporting documentation regarding the prospective tenants. They made the process easy and we will use them again in the future. When my job sent me overseas (to London) for a couple of years, I was looking for a property management company to take over my condo in SF while I was gone. I was a total newbie in the ins-​and-​outs of renting out my place and as I was going to be 8 time zones away, I needed to find someone who would just deal with everything. A real estate broker friend of mine recommended PPG highly so I contacted them. Wow, am I glad I did! Joe (Gillach) was great. He walked me thru what to expect about renting out my place. He not only found great tenants, but he dealt with any and all unexpected issues (water heater breakdown, appliance repair, etc). They always kept me in the loop and made sure I knew what was going on. Joe is the best!

Dace at Progressive Property Group is one of the most professional realtors I’ve ever worked with in San Francisco (5 years at 4 different locations including the Marina, Pac Heights, and Nob Hill). With the occupancy rates so high, most agents care less as they know the place will rent with or without you.
The new owner of the condo we were leasing hired Dace after I was relocating to Boston. Dace promptly prepared to lease the place and worked within my very tight travel schedule. My new job 3,000 miles away made appointments difficult but she always understood and made it convenient for me… when I was moving out, not in.
She always ensured the clients were completely satisfied with their viewing and provided timely feedback after each showing.
Dace was able to lease the condo quickly after just a few showings and ensured our sizable security deposit was returned in 2 days after moving out.

We hired Progressive to lease our loft in SF. We met with Dace and she took us through the entire process. We felt confident that she and her team would take care of us and they sure did! They did everything she promised and in a short period of time secured fantastic renters. Her team handled all the paperwork expertly and efficiently and we received our funds quickly. I recently had to move away from San Francisco and needed some help renting my condo unit. I received Dace from Progressive as a referral from my realtor Todd Wiley (if you need a realtor — look Todd up — he’s the best!). Dace was out of town but her business partner Joe Gillach was able to help me out. Joe is extremely professional and helpful. After a phone conversation in which he explained the process in detail, we met at my apartment so he could assess it and get some details.
Joe did a great job researching comps and putting together a fantastic listing. He also put me in touch with a couple of vendors that helped me get the apartment to rental-​ready condition. They were reasonably priced and did a fabulous job — Joe knows the right folks!
PPG put together a couple of open houses and appointments to show the unit and within just a couple of days had a potential renter submit an application. PPG’s application process was comprehensive and quick — easy for the renter, but detailed enough to make me feel confident the renter we selected was the right candidate.
The process was quick and smooth, and I am perfectly satisfied. I really appreciated how Joe answered all of my questions throughout the process, and has been easy to get a hold of and happy to help out. I have a feeling the renters I have will be staying for a long time, but should I ever need to find another renter, I will definitely be reaching out to Joe at PPG!

This review is based purely on our interaction with Dace.
From the first call I made to inquire about the open house she was unfriendly and short. All subsequent interactions proved to be the same. What kind of professional tells someone to, AND I QUOTE, «get a pen, I’m too busy», when the client requests that she email/​text information after calling in the middle of the work day?
No wonder the girl who works for her uses the phrase ‘bossy Dace’ as a device for people to learn how to pronounce her name.
We weren’t interested in working with someone who clearly does not value the business, time or feelings of those they interact with professionally. Dace thinks that we didn’t have the documents to qualify, what she doesn’t (yet) know is that we decided against the rental but didn’t tell her because she was such a b%*$h! I hope she enjoyed that waste of time :)

I’m writing this review from my wonderful new apartment, found with the assistance of Dace from Progressive Property Group. As many SF renters are already aware, the SF rental market is currently extremely competitive, which allows for mediocre rental agents to do their job and rent out units while providing less than stellar service. In my search for the perfect place, I looked at over ten apartments and dealt with roughly eight different rental agents. All but Dace had an attitude that basically said, «If you don’t want it, somebody soon will.» I even had one agent say this to me two minutes into showing an apartment. Horrible attitudes, not being able to get a phone call returned, being rushed to view apartments in less than five minutes, and agents showing apartments in pajamas was my experience with SF rental agents.
When I made an appointment to view a unit being shown by Dace, the tone was immediately different. She promptly called me back to schedule a time to show the unit later that same day. She was friendly and professional and, unlike any agent I had previously met, genuinely wanted to help my boyfriend and me find an apartment. We loved the apartment, but wanted to negotiate the price. This, of course, required Dace to make some back and forth calls between the owner of the condo and me, all of which she handled quickly and efficiently. All the while, she kept me updated and informed of the status. All of the ambiguity of negotiating a lease was mitigated by Dace’s promptness and attention to detail. I find it impressive that I called Dace to view a unit I saw on Craigslist on a Saturday morning, and by Sunday evening, we had a signed contract. When the deal closed and it came time to do a walk-​though with the owner of the condo, Dace came along to ensure everything went smoothly. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients. She was willing to go the extra mile to get her client’s condo rented and was just as eager to help a prospective renter find the perfect new place.
When someone stands out from the pack as much as Dace, it deserves to be acknowledged. This is why I thought it was important to write this review. Whether you’re an owner looking to rent out your home, or someone like me looking to rent an apartment, I very highly recommend Dace. It was truly a pleasure working with her.

I have lived in a building managed by Progressive for quite a while. They are by far the best property management company I have dealt with as a 17 year tenant in SF. They are very responsive to valid tenant needs and in being consistent provide a better experience for everyone in the building. Nice job!!!

My real estate provided Progressive’s name as a possible property manager for a recently purchased condo. Dace was responsive from day 1 and very helpful. As an out of town buyer, I was unfamiliar with some of the norms.
After viewing the property, Dace was able to recommend an appropriate market based rent and then find suitable renters for the property.
I have had a very positive relationship with Progressive and would recommend them highly to others.
