After staring at a cracked kitchen window for the past 30 years (!), we finally decided to replace the glass (such procrastinators we are …). Called North Beach Sash in the morning, who came in the afternoon, took out the window, and returned within an hour with a new glass pane. Voila! Not the eyesore anymore! We are so pleased …

I had what I thought was a tricky mirror that needed to be replaced. Walked into North Beach Sash and Window Supply. Three blocks from my house on Russian Hill. Happily, I was greeted by an Aaron Peskin for Supervisor Sign, without missing a beat they cut a new piece of mirror and fixed my problem. These are the small businesses we are losing in San Francisco. I am happy with their work and will use them again and refer them to others.

North Beach Sash does it again! Called these wonderful men up to replace 3 rotting windows. I’m beyond thrilled with their punctuality, attention to detail and reasonable pricing.
The windows 1930’s functionality has been restored. They now open from top to bottom or bottom to top. I had no idea that was even possible.
If the time comes to replace more windows in my build, they will have my business.

You don’t ever get this guy in the phone. You have to call and leave a message, and even though I told him I was a neighbor, and needed some help with a broken window as soon as possible, he could not be bothered to return my call. If he’s really looking to stay in business in this neighborhood, I think he’d better step up his game

We had a mirror installed in the master bath of our Telegraph Hill home. Cutouts needed to fit custom moldings and electrical outlets. Also added a mirror to antique French garden iron work. North Beach Sash did a masterful job on both.

We believe in supporting independent neighborhood businesses so we were delighted when we found North Beach Sash and Window. Ali, the owner, friendly, professional and highly skilled came to our place promptly to review street noise solutions. After some discussion we agreed with his first choice for inserts rather than modifying the exterior of the building. They were custom fitted, installed on schedule, look great and work perfectly. Thank you Ali, Nick and Nathan for a job well done. It has been a real pleasure working with this company.

Great and fast service! We had a broken window pane at the office. I was given a quote of about $ 200 based on my description over the phone and someone came over to look at it within 30 minutes of the call. After that I was told the replacement fee would be $ 200 exactly and about a 1 hour install. They pre-​cut a new pane and it turns out the install only took 30 minutes.
Very friendly guys who did a great job and I will definitely call the next time our office is the unfortunate victim of for-​no-​reason window-​breaking. I was told they are only a two-​person team, so if they don’t answer, just leave a message and they’ll get back to you as quickly as they can.

I usually don’t write review, but this time I need to. The customer service here is terrible. The owner is very rude and treats his customer like dirt. I need to replace some glasses in my windows and mirrors in the bathrooms, so I ask him how does he install the mirrors to prevent mercury runs which are common issues in bathroom mirrors. He said that he does not like me asking so many questions, and if I don’t like it I can ask someone else to do that. I feel like he is doing me a favor, and does not need my business. I figure out if he treats me like that right now, it will be worse if something goes wrong. I decide not to use them to avoid future headache. Don’t use them if you don’t want someone to treat you badly.

Super fast service. Broke a window at 10pm at night. Called back first thing in the morning, came out the following hour, and was back an hour and half later with the broken window fixed! All done by 12:30pm the following afternoon, cost me $ 180 to replace a 3ft wooden apt window.

Ali was great. I called to get a broken window’s glass replaced. He returned my call within an hour or two, showed up at my door in another hour, and got it replaced in another hour. It was fast, and the prices were reasonable. I will work with him again for similar things.

I called North Beach Window after 18months of remodeling and suffering from contractor fatigue and dwindling funds. I called to order two full length mirrors and had braced myself for the price and was given an extremely reasonable price.
They were ready in a couple of days and delivered promptly. Ali, the owner, knows his stuff and is a super nice guy.
Now that I know about his shop, my next project of glass shower doors is his. Way easier and cheaper to work with than a general contractor.

This place is very reasonable on prices, fast and friendly services that you may be missing from other window and sash places. Now I know I have been missing out for the last 12 years when I lived in a different neighborhood, and was going to different shops.
I recently moved and needed to replace some glass on a set of windows, and since this place was just down the street, I went in with 2 sash in hand around 4pm. The tall gentleman gave me a quote, which was so reasonable that I was shocked. When I asked him if I could expect the windows to be ready in a couple of days, he said they would be ready by noon the next day and he’d call me once they are ready.
He called me the next day as promised and the windows were ready.
A couple of weeks later, I decided to replace a mirror on a built-​in medicine cabinet as the cabinet and the mirror were 90 years old and the mirror had some obvious ugly wear and tear. I brought in the medicine cabinet door and asked if it was possible to replace the mirror. His answer was «of course we can». I didn’t even ask how much the mirror would be this time and just left the cabinet door with him to replace the mirror. The next day, he called and said it’s ready. I went to pick it up and was shocked again with the price.

Wow, I just called and the customer service in setting up an appointment could not have gone more smoothly. The gentlemen who answered made some really great suggestions as to how I might resolve my problem with the windows I need service on. The place seems to have great integrity — I’ll be waiting on a call back from the owner to setup an appt. — more to come.

Ali is incredibly professional and does great work. I called him, described the problem I was having with my windows (old Marina windows beginning to fall apart) and he knew exactly what needed to happen. North Beach Sash & Window was recommended to us by a Leasing Specialist here in San Francisco. Our building (set of flats in the Marina) was built in 1931 and the windows throughout were in need of replacement. We got bids from four different window companies, ranging from the Big Box (Home Depot) to other large companies. We strongly believe in dealing with independently owned companies, establishing a relationship, knowing you will find that very person on the other end of the line when you call. . not an 800 number. A real person.
Dealing with North Beach Sash & Window, you will avoid any hassle regarding the very annoying clause the City and County of San Francisco has which is «All About Windows», meaning this: If you have wood framed windows facing the street that can be seen, you must replace with wood framed windows. The Big Box folks will tell you «No problem. Go with Vinyl». You don’t want to go there. It’s stupid, but it’s real, folks.
We love this company. Go with North Beach. You’ll be in very good hands and the team is wonderful. They work hard and know what they’re doing.

This guy is fast, reasonably priced and honest. Sometimes it can be tricky getting hold of him, but he always returns calls if you leave a message.
What else is there left to say except if you need glass or mirrors save your time and go to North Beach Sash and Window, no one will beat his price or his service.

Listen up people! Anyone who has ever bought mirrors knows that you are going to pay an arm and leg for the glass and the work.

He is the man when it comes to getting good quality work done for an affordable rate. He just finished installing my mirrors in my new studio and they did a great job!
He is very honest and won’t rip you off.
