Description

Specialties

Mary FNP MSN is a Somatic Experiencing and Integrative Wellness Practitioner in private practice. Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a gently powerful body-mind practice to re-negotiate and heal toxic stress and trauma. In SE, you are guided to bring forth your capacities for present moment awareness of sensation, play, joy and self– compassion. In slowing down and noticing when and how you feel safe and what feels good, you support neuro-pathways to stabilize your system. From this grounded place, we work small bits of the effects of toxic stress on your system, noticing sensations, your impulses & staying within your resilient range. In healing, you’ll uncover a new map to your own vitality.

In the SE session we might work seated, face to face. Because trauma is «remembered» in the body (more than in the thinking mind) skillful, gentle touch (fully clothed) is offered, when seated reclining.

Integrative Wellness is a way of caring that preserves the wholeness & dignity of the body, mind
