My work involves being both your companion and facilitator in the process of becoming deeply connected with yourself, your purpose, your loved ones, and your community. The connection, meaning, and feeling of being your best self requires that you enter into an intimate process with yourself. If you could figure it out by just thinking, you would have already done so. You cannot solve what you seek with lots of thinking. I imagine you have tried that already and know that what I am saying is true. Unfortunately, the experience or process you are longing for is not widely offered in our current culture. My work involves being both your companion and facilitator in the process of becoming deeply connected with yourself, your purpose, your loved ones, and your community.
My specialties include, but are not limited to:
Navigating change and transition
Couples therapy for couples of all configurations and orientations
Mixed race identity and multicultural issues
Connecting and supporting you in being your best self
NOTE: For clients who are considering leaving a review, I would like to ask you to pause and contemplate whether you want to break confidentiality. Part of why therapy is so effective is because privacy or confidentiality creates an atmosphere for safe, nonjudgmental exploration. As much as I might like a review, I definitely do not need a review. I trust the right people will find me. This posting as it is is enough.
History
Established in 2014.
I hold a Masters in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and have graduate level training from the Church Street Integral Counseling Center, one of the few Gestalt training centers in United States. I consider myself to be both an experiential therapist and a relational therapist; I find the combination of relational therapy and exploration through experience to be highly effective and therapeutic. My main modalities and influences are Gestalt therapy, relational therapy, and more recently, Jungian and Somatic therapy. In addition to my training and academic studies, I have also been profoundly influenced by experiences of practicing and studying Zen meditation for the last nine years, working with an amazing staff of volunteers to feed hospice patients and family members, and expanding my awareness and support of diversity and social justice issues.

Lisa D.
Business Owner
First and foremost, I love what I do and I am grateful everyday to work with my clients. I personally and professionally know the healing and transformative power of therapy; I have been a client in therapy, studied therapy, and now I am a therapist intern with the Grateful Heart Holistic Therapy Center. In my experience, if you meet the right therapist, therapy absolutely can help create significant and positive change in one’s personal life. Knowing this, I am deeply honored and committed to work with individuals and couples as they seek solutions, meaning, intimacy, and purpose. My approach is a combination of of being warm and wholehearted, while also being honest and curious about what is happening.
I am a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, #79 383 with the Grateful Heart Holistic Therapy Center. I am supervised by Liza Ravitz, PSY6295 and Peter Wright, MFC38747
