Our hand to and technique is very unique and less painful, as it is much gentler than normal threading. Our staff is trained for 2 months so they are up to par when it is time for them to perform excellent work on our clients.

Esthetician Reena Pandey established M&M Salon in February 2007. We would like to invite you to escape from your daily hectic and stressful life to spend time with us to reflect and relax with our excellent services. Facials, waxing, and threading are available on a daily basis.

I have been coming here for over 5 years and can’t remember ever having a problem here. There are definitely some women who are better than others, Reena is the best because she is one of the owners and really cares about her customers. I constantly get compliments on my eyebrows since I started going here. They recently had to remove their sign from the street and you have to be buzzed in because the building was having issues with some of the street characters coming inside the building and harassing people. Don’t let this stop you though! It makes the space a little harder to find but it is worth it!

Reema did a fantastic job on my brows — she cleaned them up just the way I wanted and was very professional. She even ended the treatment with a mini facial massage — I’ve been getting my brows done for years and never experienced that before! Highly recommend M&M.

I’ve been here twice, and it’s my favorite place in the city for threading. Reema was fantastic doing both my eyebrows and upper lip. She was thorough, thoughtful, and efficient. My eyebrows were even and shaped my eyes well. The massage, though, was where she stood out. I highly recommend M&M To anyone who is particular about their eyebrows.

I’ve been coming here since 2010 to get my eyebrows threaded. The ladies of M&M are wonderful at what they do. They take my vague instructions («Just clean it up a little… not too thin…») and make me a simple, natural, and beautiful eyebrow every time. They’re also friendly, patient, and gentle. Reena in particular has the magic touch… somehow she makes it painless, even on your upper lip, which, believe me, is saying something. Prices are very reasonable, and if you like to get threaded regularly, you can save money by buying a «membership.»

Hit or miss. Went in today and said i’d like just to have the outside hairs of my brows cleaned up but she ended up reshaping them. They are now so much thinner than before! I’m so upset because she was so confident about understanding what I wanted but ended up not getting it right. +1 for her apologizing.

I will never let her touch my eyebrows again. She hardly even tried. did a few quick touches then claimed to be done. Afterwards I pointed out to her that one brow was clearly bigger than the other… come on now? All these great reviews and I catch her on a day she doesnt care to do the work.

I tried out this place a couple of times before in the past and i thought they did an excellent job. I came here again last week because it was on my way and I have’t done my brows in a while. I usually get my brows threaded or wax every few months or so to get an arch and the shape and the time in between, I pluck or shave with an eyebrow razor.
Usually when I thread or wax, I would feel the pain and shed a tear or two. This time, however, it was such a quick process and it was done in 3 minute max. I didn’t feel anything which means she was probably breaking the hairs instead of actually pulling them all out. After she was done, she handed me the mirror and there were such obvious stray hairs that needed to go away. She agreed with me so she cleaned it up a little bit more bit still after then, I wasn’t impressed.
I felt like she could’ve spent a little more time working on it but the lady that help me seemed very unmotivated. My brows look like it haven’t been touched before I came in. I could’ve done this at home for myself from plucking. Don’t think I will come back since there are many other places that will give me better service for the same or cheaper price.

Leela did my eyebrows and they were perfect! She’s such a sweetheart. I’ve gone here a few times and everytime was great but I love how quick and talkative she was. Plus eyebrows are only 13 $!!! I allways give them 20 $. Working in the service industry myself when someone is good and cheap you should tip well! Don’t be cheap people! Really happy I found this hidden gem on sutter.

I have been coming here for about 5 years now. I love my eyebrows every time I come out. I love how they take their time and really leave your eyebrows clean. I have had only good experiences coming here. Also if you need your eyebrows to be amazingly shaped this is the place to be.

Just as I was beginning to lose faith, I saw Rina today around 3:40pm. She was great. She was friendly and I hardly felt a thing through the whole process.
Plus, my brows & stuff are looking pretty nice with no red bumps.

I walked a mile from my office to get here for over a year. Recently I switched to a place closer but I went back because I had a free threading.
While I would give 5 stars for their threading, I give 2 for them not honoring my free threading. When I first became a customer there was a free threading every 10 appointments. Then they increased the price and switched to every 5 appointments. When I presented my card this time I was told that I had to come another three times to get my free threading. If you’re going to keep changing your process, fine. But it’s unprofessional and really just annoying as a customer for them to not honor a card that clearly states I have a free threading. I was too tired to argue (instead, I’m complaining behind a screen, whoops) but I won’t be returning.

2.5 half stars but I don’t feel like bumping it to 3.
Anyways, bought a membership (not cheap!) and been here quite a few times. Thing is, the ladies that thread:
1. Do a sloppy clean up job, there’s always hair left everywhere
2. Break your hair instead of pulling it from the root (thanks for the ingrowns)
3. Rush you out as if they need to get to Cinderella’s Ball so you can’t check if they did a thorough job or not.
You’ll find yourself back here in a couple of days to get threaded again. It looks like you never even went (not because I’m a hairy beast, because they break the hairs).
There’s only one lady that’s meticulous and doesn’t rush you out of there. She will thread you until you’re satisfied, not shoo you off like the others.
Just annoyed at taking the time to come out (and paying for über too!) over and over and over when they can’t do it properly the first time. Ain’t nobody got time for dat!
Probably won’t renew my membership. Anyone have other recommendations?

After living in San Francisco for 8 months and having the hardest time finding a place to get my eyebrows done I FINALLY found a great place. Being from NYC you have an unlimited amount of options which I clearly took for granted. Anyway, M&M IS FABULOUS. Joyty who threaded my eyebrows asked me questions before starting which I was thankful for. From the last waxing place I tried in SF one EB is thinner than the other. She noticed right away and did a seamless clean up on that brow and did a very thorough threading on the other to match. Part of the way through Joyty gave me the mirror to ask what I thought. She continued to clean them both up and trimmed them on top. I couldn’t believe the difference. I am so thankful for Joyty’s assistance, honesty and help. I will definitely be going back!

I’ve been here at least 5 – 6 times, and have never made an appointment to come in. The wait is usually not too bad, 10 – 20 minutes depending on the day/​time.
I wish they’d be consistent on their workers experience! Every time I come in, it’s a different person doing my brows which is okay but the outcome isn’t always the best. I come here if I’m in the area and looking for a quick last minute eyebrow thread. I would come back only if it’s my last option.

Weird location, but I trusted Unilocal not to get me killed so I kept climbing the stairs up and up (the old school elevator looked even scarier). I came on a Saturday evening, so there was only one person waiting ahead of me. At this time though, were two youngish Thai girls/​ladies working and I didn’t proper read through all the Unilocal reviews. I ended up with the even younger looking one and while it was a relatively painless and quick experience, I’ve had far better threading experiences with my brows. They were left kind of thin and the shape wasn’t as defined as I had hope for. Her lack of experience kind of showed when the thread she used broke like twenty times during my whole walk-​in appointment.
The Salon was actually very peaceful and had comfy leather seats for waiting patrons, including a water dispenser. For the necessary services, I found it to be clean and the gals were quite gentle. I only paid $ 15 ($ 13+tip) for a brow and upper lip wax (credit card accepted). I’d come back, if in the area, but I’d be more careful with who I let thread my brows.

This place saveddd me when I came to town for a conference without getting my eyebrows done in DC. Was within walking distance from my hotel in atop Nob Hill. A little interesting to find b/​c it has a small entrance and then you have to go up a very small escalator (I think there were stairs but looked a little dark). But great service. Great price. Clean. Would def go back on my next visit to San Fran.

Yay! My facial hair is gone! I know that beards are in right now but I’m really trying hard to not go full-​on hipster.
Popped in on a Saturday and had practically no wait. Got my eyebrows and bearded areas cleaned up for about $ 25. It took a bit longer than I’ve grown used to, but the lady was very thorough and cleaned me up afterward — a small luxury that I particularly appreciate. I left looking and feeling like a woman again. Woo hoo!
